I hired Restif to clean my bathtub, which was moldy. Two cleaners came and cleaned my tub to the point of looking like it did when I first moved in. They also cleaned up the vanity and sink, even though I didn't ask them to. All I can say is WOW! Highly recommended and worth every penny. read more

They destroyed my refrigerator, refused to pay for it, and lied to my face about the chemicals they used even though I had personally seen what was used because they left a tub of it inside (something so toxic that 4 months later the fridge is still unusable and any food put there becomes inedible and must be thrown away--definitely never intended to be used in a food area or even for cleaning--it was an industrial solvent, not a cleaning agent). The manager lied to my face about not being able to smell the industrial chemical solvent (I've had multiple people verify that the smell of off-gassing is overwhelming and choke and cough when they put their head inside to smell it). He then insulted my intelligence by taking a photo on his camera, as if VOC's were something you could photograph! The crew filled my outdoor, full-sized garbage can with their broken and discarded cleaning tools, including brooms, large containers, gloves etc. and then left it for me to pay the garbage removal. The manager didn't take responsibility for anything they did wrong. There was no attempt to behave with any integrity. Do not give them your business! read more

I do not typically leave bad reviews, but super disappointed. While my windows were "cleaned" the window sills or hard water spots were not. When I called to ask about this was told it was my responsibility to ask for additional services. How would a consumer know this? Should I not have been informed when I scheduled? My 83 year old mother hired this company to clean her windows. They did a good job on the actual window glass but cleaning the tracks is not included in the job. They climbed up, took the screens off, washed the windows, wiped the sill being careful to not cross the line over into a track (note* wiping does not equal cleaning), wiped the outside of the screen - pushing the dust into the mesh - but not bothering to wipe the inside of the screen... Then told her they'd be happy to come out and finish for another $35. an hour per person. How much you wanna bet they'd send two people? read more

Restif sent cleaners to my rental for a post move out cleaning and the techs broke the kitchen faucet by being too rough with it. Restif refused to pay for the resulting plumbing bill and claimed that the faucet was broken when they arrived, despite the fact that the move out inspection did not show any injury to the faucet or leakage- just a dirty unit. The plumber who replaced the faucet said that it had been jerked around as it did not show signs of corrosion. I talked with Brian, the office manager mainly, however also spoke with Art the operations manager, and Melissa the office manager. I would stay away from Restif if you are a property owner, as they do not take ownership for issues their tech cleaners cause and condone yelling at their customers. Dealing with Brian over the phone was not fun and I will never do business with Restif again. read more

Restif cleaned the gutters on our two-story Victorian in Ferndale. They did an outstanding job. The process was seamless and effortless. They cleaned all of the gunk out of the gutters and they cleaned the black mold and dirt off all of the surface of the white gutters. They are clean, they look fantastic and we are very pleased. Hired Restif for window washing after moving into a new house with very dirty windows. Estimate and scheduling was straightforward. The guys showed up on time, and were respectful and thorough. Note that you have to pay extra for cleaning the tracks and for any razorblade paint removal. My only complaint is their equipment smelled like mildew, and left a slight mildewy smell throughout the house! (I'm way more sensitive to that particular smell than most other people.) But my windows are sparkling clean. read more

Wow - this company stole from me. Seriously! They cleaned a house I just bought - then a few minutes after they left I noticed a ladder was missing, a brand new shovel, brand new pitch fork, brand new gas can, etc I called the team leader and asked her if anyone took anything, mentioning the items. She said no she didn't see anything, hinted a neighbor who was nearby and another worker who was laying tile might be suspects. I said OK I'm filing a police report. She said to give her a few minutes and she would alert her supervisor to check with the crew when they unloaded the trucks and see if anyone placed this stuff in their vehicles by accident. Um, how could that happen? A gas can in a shed and some oil obviously does not belong to a cleaning crew. The supervisor called and said they had the stuff. He called it a misunderstanding. He said he "trusted" the people that worked for him. He said, the guy who took the stuff was told by the team leader he could clear out some junk and that I had given her permission to do so. I pointed out if that was the case why did the team leader deny knowledge of the items or anyone taking them. He called that a "knee-jerk reaction." Honest people don't have knee jerk reactions (i.e. lie) An honest person would have said, "I thought you said we could clear out some junk and one of the guys took that stuff. I'm sorry. We will return it." I'm guessing they thought the items were not mine but leftover from the previous tenants who rented the place before I bought it, but still - just walk off with brand new items??? I can say at least the supervisor responded to me and located the items, but to hire a cleaning crew and have them steal from you. I mean, Wow. I'm still in shock. The manager returned (or replaced) everything that was taken. What he did about the employee(s) who stole from me I have no idea. read more

We used the window cleaning service. The two workers were friendly and efficient, and did a great job on the windows. We have three floors in our house with four skylights and several high windows. Two windows in particular were difficult to reach but they exerted the extra effort to ensure that those windows were cleaned well too. read more

Restif charged me $25 over the quote they initially provided, based on the specifications I gave them (which is even $5 over their supposed maximum fee--what was that extra $5 for? did they use my credit card info to tip themselves??). When I called to dispute this charge, they said they needed to get in touch with the tech that did my carpet and said they'd call me back. They never did. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY. read more

Professional delivery of and pride in their services from end to end. We are very pleased with their attention to detail and their thorough approach. Keeping up with the animal dander and hair from our pets is tough because we work full time. The horde of dusty bunnies have been eradicated. Restif's staff knows how to clean the right way. There were a few, minor misunderstandings that we worked out on the front end. After that, all was well. One of my cats went on a spraying spree while I was on a trip and the pet caretaker did not notice, which meant all the urine had dried on four pieces of furniture (and yes, the cat is alive which makes me a saint). I still don't know how Restif got all that urine out of the upholstery, but I am grateful. My daughter who has a very sensitive nose could not detect any urine after Restif completed their work. There was, again on 5/18, several (8 or more) items of refuse on the floor between pews, and the kitchen door was left unlocked, from the 5/17 cleaning, and the women's toilet was left uncleaned. I called to get my carpets cleaned. The receptionist was incredibly rude as soon as she picked up the phone. She sounded very bored and uninterested in getting my information and kept making huffing noises when a timing wouldn't fit my schedule. I eventually made an excuse to hang up. I hope Restif knows their receptionist/scheduler is the face of their business and should really take some more time to train her... I eventually called A1, and they came by and were awesome! Wow! I scheduled the service 10 days in advance. When they didn't show up, I called to see when to expect them. The office said they had no record of my appointment or any record of ever having talked with me. This seriously disrupted my schedule. When I pressed them to make it right and I pointed out that I have a call listed to them on my cell phone (and I admit I was a bit upset) they said there was nothing they could do for me, that I was rude, and they would never work for me again. I had a very persistent red wine stain on my white wool carpet. I called restif cleaning and they were quick to schedule me. They have a minimum flat fee of $75 per service, so I was expecting to pay for the wine stain removal, but the technician came and fixed the stain within minutes free of charge! Recently used Restif to clean the rain gutters 5/19/2017 on our two story house. The crew was running late and called to inform me they were delayed. I was not home when the work was done but when I returned the gutters looked great. In addition to cleaning the insides of the gutters they wiped and cleaned the outside. They look new! I also asked them to clean a small patch of the roof that had a moss build up. I would highly recommend this company and will use them again in the future. I'm happy to report that they came on time, and were extremely competent and professional. It was a 2 part job and Ryan and John worked all day and did an excellent job. I contacted this company to clean our vacation home. We have a lot of friends visiting our place, and can't always clean our vacation home for our guest. Not being from the area, I did not have a lot or resources and initially could not find another company, so I hired them to clean our house even though they charge 3 times the amount we pay in Livermore Ca. They charged us over $200 for a 1500 sq. foot space, and in a townhouse that is only 15 yrs old. This is an easy job because they place is usually empty, and we do not have a lot clutter, only new furniture and very few personal items. During the initial cleaning, my husband had to enter our vacation home and pack quickly because one of his family members had a stroke, and he had to catch a plane. He noticed that our toothbrushes and bathroom stuff were place on one of our bathroom floors. He also noticed that some of the staff were eating lunch in their car. We rescheduled since we had no other options. I gave them some dates far in the future, and they still could not schedule for the time we need, so I canceled. We now pay $60 for housecleaning and have a wonderful, professional person who takes care of our place that we trust. read more

Very misleading. The person who gave us a bid said the work we wanted done would take 2 hours for 2 people, i.e., 4 hours of labor per week. She said that would cost $65/week, and said that would be a way better deal than hiring them by the hour, which is $30/person/hour. So we went with the bid. The cleaners spent 45 minutes at our home, doing a decent job on the cleaning they did, but, obviously, charging way too much for that amount of work. We quit right away and hired another cleaning company that charges by the hour and is honest. read more

Charge $30+ Hr but pay there employees $8hr. These people are unprofessional and under paid, no wonder. They come in to clean my house and do it as fast as the possibly can just to get out of there and on to the next job. I asked why they were on a hurry most of the time when my house is supposed to take over 4 hours and she said because they have a heavy schedule and and don't want to get off work too late. So instead of getting my house cleaned by a house keeper it's more like janitorial work! I asked how much they get paid and she said $8.00hr. I was like wow no wonder I'm getting ripped off! I pay for a $30+ an hour job for there services and get an $8.00 hr quality work. It all makes sense now. Needless to say I canceled there services and am going with a self employed house keeper that gets the full amount I pay which would probably be cheaper! so that they are actually motived to do a good job!!! read more
