The waitress took 40 minutes before she came to our table to even take a drink order when we realized how long things were taking, we decided to give our food order as well. It took an hour and 20 minutes before our food even came to us with us not having a visit from our waitress. We actually had to walk to the bar to try to order our own drinks and We had asked her if she can give us an ETA for our food, she said she would. She never came back when our food finally arrived an hour and 20 minutes or an hour and 30 minutes later it was cold. We said we were not happy about it and then the bartender came over to tell us how displeased he was because we were questioning the food and questioned our tone. All we did was ask when our food was gonna be ready. We were just looking for an ETA. We had told her if the food took any longer that we would rather not have the food. Our bill was $170. We paid it and of course they waited till we paid it to come and tell us that they didn't like the tone that we had we didn't have a tone we asked for an ETA. All we needed to know is how long our food was gonna be and we said to her if it was gonna be after waiting an hour and 20 minutes if it was gonna be another 15 2030 minutes that we no longer wanted the food that all we needed to be told that you know if they can't bring the food if it's busy or if there's an issue, we would just have our drinks and leave. Not a good experience. I will never go back there and I will never recommend it to anyone. The service was horrible. The food was cold and horrible and that's it. They don't need to deserve a one star. If I could give a zero star, that's what I would do. The staff were rude.

The Long Version: My first visit to this casino was before I moved to Ottawa. I was living in Montreal and visiting a friend who was doing his co-op placement in Ottawa. He was playing tour guide and showing me around the NCR and the casino was on his list. We walked around and I played some slot machines. My friend played some roulette. Neither of us won any money :( But we did get some free coffee and soft drinks at the self-serve dispensers, haha. I'm not a huge gambler, so even after I moved to Ottawa, I did not return, until recently. And my reason for returning was actually to eat at Arome, one of their restaurants, with my husband. Since we were already there, I figured why not experience the casino a bit after dinner? My husband and I walked around. My husband played some slot machines, a fish-themed one and a buffalo-themed one. He won a small amount. Most people would likely have kept on playing, lol, but we like to quit while we're ahead, haha. The casino was clean and did not smell bad (like the Shorelines Casino at Thousand Islands did the last time I was there). There's also a theatre at the Casino where you can see shows. I'm not really into casinos, but for those who are, I think the Lac-Leamy Casino is pretty good in terms of aesthetics and amenities. They have lots of free parking. Review #21 (2026)

He brushed it with a wet cloth and told me that it was gone. After he left and when it dried out (an hour later) the white spot reappeared. I called him right away (3 hours after he left) and he basically told me that it would not affect the play and that there is no way he would change the cloth. But it is bothering us, a new cloth with a big withe spot in the middle of the table? Not acceptable. No matter the deal for the table, the cloth is supposed to be new. Also the table is dirty and the cloth is not installed properly. Of course I have paid UTT (well...the price was given to me "Taxes included" but later I was asked to pay cash...so there is nothing I can do, except writing it here of course. Not happy...

The only redeeming quality is that they have Karaoke on friday nights, which is usually good entertainment. The Karaoke tends to attract the student crowd so is usually a lot of fun. I love my wings spicy, and these guys know how to make them spicy and good. Couldn't get enough of them. The burger's were decent, standard pub fare. Some people might call this place a hole, and while it's not fancy and not spotlessly clean, it's far from being dirty. I would not rush to Ward 14 for the food, but this goes back to the non-pretentiousness of it all... They do have seasoned nuts but happened to be out at the time. Overall there was nothing about Ward 14 that should make it special... It's super small inside and crammed with vintage finds and knickknacks, like a giant lava lamp, lights, and random other pins, charms, and home decor, all of which you can buy. I think it's pretty popular, so I can see it getting pretty crammed, especially with everyone's winter gear. There's a booth when you first walk in for a small group vs. two folks like we were, and where it would be easier with more space to play one of the many board games they have. We didn't get anything to eat, though I was really debating on getting the totchos (tater tot nachos!) on their limited snack menu. We were just happy with the drinks, since they have some pretty awesome cocktails and craft beers, including their own Ward 14 stubbys.
