I was really looking forward to trying out the roller coaster but that would be an additional 18 tokens (Which I believe was around 15 dollars? Don't quote me on that). There was also a jungle gym (think cosmic adventures) but that was extra tokens. I did get quiet tired of the arcade games pretty quickly and some games looked worse for wear. The kids seemed to enjoy it. The cards did have a timer between playing games so that you could not double tap the card. The $25 all you can play game night did NOT let you build up credit to redeem for prizes. We had a party room and cheese pizza. Pizza was your standard pizza. Great for kids, but nothing to write home about. The vibe of Funhaven was more warehouse/concrete vibes. Washrooms were clean. I do wish they had sanitzer bottles placed out around the establishement. I did find myself washing my hands quiet frequently after playing the games (flu season, not taking any chances). My husband has been wanting to check out Funhaven for a while, and I'm glad we did where all expenses were paid for, but I would not rush back.

I'm not in this area often, especially during the pandemic, so when I saw that they were offering frozen pierogis through Burrow Shop's online grocery delivery service, I had to buy them. I got the traditional pierogis made with flour, sour cream, eggs, potato, cheddar cheese, and salt. It was a 12-pack of frozen pierogis sealed in plastic in a little cardboard box with the instructions at the bottom, which included boiling and panfrying. I was lazy and starving at that point and looking for something fast, so I decided to brush six of them with olive oil and stick them in the air fryer. I should've taken them out sooner because the potato started leaking out the ends, but they were still great. Of course, if I had followed the instructions, I'm sure they'd be even better (I saved the other half to try it making it the way they said). Simple and comforting, not lacking flavour, but not too tame, and not too salty. The six were a great snack for just myself - I can see how people could easily take down plates of these!

The details in each room are amazing. I screamed when the floor opened underneath us. We ended up in the dungeon up to our waists in murky polluted water. From there, two more rooms. Each room was challenging and it took team work to resolve. I have to add that the people have been amazing on both of my visits. Today we bumped into one of the owners who took time to spend with us, tell us about the path to 'today' and where his team is headed developmentally. It can cost a pretty penny per visit, so we ended up getting an annual pass which was $99, and included entrance for our child, and two adults. The pass literally pays for itself after the first couple of visits. Birthday parties are also 50% off with an annual pass. Adults DO have to pay to get in, kinda sucks, but kinda understand why. Babies 11 months and under are free. There is a kiddie zone for kids 4 and under. I did notice that some of the older kids sneak into this zone, which sucks, because they normally play rougher than the babies/younger kids. There is also a dance room/area for kids to dance and go crazy, an arcade area near the food court, and smaller rides for the younger kids like a carousel and cars (the kind that you would find at the mall that costs 2 bucks). Parking is a nightmare. It's always full, and people never look where they are driving. Last time I was here, I saw a, most likely VERY tired mom, back up into another car. It is just mayhem here. On really busy days, they usually have an employee directing traffic. Ahemmm...it's like a kiddie Costco! Again, great place for kids to burn off energy, and for babies to get their stimulation.

A bunch of wooden chairs were set up facing the stage, and Perez gossiped about celebrities for an hour or so, told us how he got to be a famous blogger, answered some questions, signed t-shirts, and dropped as many F-bombs as he possibly could. The bouncers were a little too serious for the nature of the event and the guest of honour. You'd think that they'd lighten up a little considering it was Perez Hilton talking and not a concert or anything, but at least they made sure to keep everything safe and fight-free. Food and alcohol are offered at the Observatory. They are fully licensed and offer Starbucks coffee and a decent selection of sandwiches, salads, pizza, pub-fare, and breakfast, all for affordable prices. For those of you that are Algonquin College students, you can use your meal plan here. They also have couches, TVs, and pool tables if you want to hang out and/or study. It's also available for private rentals when it's not being used for other events. I usually get their chicken strips with fries, and it NEVER sits well with me. Sure, they taste good, but after twenty minutes I'm running to the washroom to toss it back up. A friend of mine has had their wrap and quesadillas and even she agrees that there's just something about the food that doesn't sit right in one's stomach. Overall, it's a really nice restaurant space - the fireplace is a nice, cozy touch. The food, however, leaves a bit to be desired. Prices are decent though, and they accept student meal plan, which is why I'm not giving them 1 star out of five.
