She was old enough to understand that thousands of people were dying as she watched...this was different than any Hollywood special effects. It was a traumatic experience for her in that she was uncontrollably shaking and crying for the next several days. Nightmares and intense anxieties followed for weeks. We sought the help of a children's counselor, but also came to BrainCore Marietta for help. Melissa made us so comfortable in explaining the tests she would perform on my daughter, how it would feel, how long each portion would last. And then she was fabulous at explaining the results of the brain map, what different areas meant, and how she would go about stimulating the different areas of my daughter's brain to promote less worry and anxiety and more peaceful sleeping. My daughter went through several months of treatments. Mid-way through, we had another brain map done which showed amazing progress was being made. Then again near the end of her treatments, which showed a drastic change in overactive areas of her brain. We are almost six months out from this therapy and it is rare now that my daughter has any bad dreams. Her anxiety levels are mostly non-existent. I know that the BrainCore therapy had much to do with these improvements. I am so thankful for Melissa's knowledge and experience in relieving the internal terror my daughter was experiencing on a constant basis. Melissa was so extremely patient and kind throughout every interaction. I feel like this made such a dramatic difference in the life of my (then) nine year old, that took her from a trembling mess of fear over everything and the worry that terrorists would break into our home at night to a carefree child once again more concerned over turning cartwheels and twirling frilly dresses.

When my husband called to confirm our appointment before arrival he was told to come in at 4:00, but mind you we had the deluxe appointment with the 30 minutes prior to our appointment. Upon arrival we were just showed to the back and the location of the shower and bathroom with no introduction of the facility or amenities. The receptionist did not even tell us where the towers or slipper were or how to work the lockers. She told us to give her a minute because our private room where we were supposed to have our lounge experienced was closed. She came back and told us that someone was already in there and that she took the charge off. No offer for accommodation she only said she took the charge off and she told us we could change in the corner of the communal lounge or the bathroom. The bathroom that everyone uses. We were not even offered a private room for us to change. The receptionist went back to the front and we asked if we could cancel and she said she could add the lounge time to after the appointment but we were already supposed to have lounge time afterwards. Then she said she could call the manager to try to cancel and she rushed us out saying we could leave because a couple had just walked in without confirm if we could even cancel. Overall a horrible experience, and very unprofessional staff. This was a completely waste of time.

Get towels one of the towels has lavender infused, which is the perfect way to end your session. The session itself is 40 minutes and it is so relaxing. You can watch YouTube or Netflix or anything that you want on the TV. It is yours for the 40 minutes.. afterwards, definitely hot, but I felt so relaxed so calm and they have this water that I definitely had to buy. If you do come, make sure you have loose clothing to be able to put on afterwards and you will be hot. Along with water they also have a refrigerator. You can purchase water and juices.. However... when women were talking, they literally yelled at them like they were children... "Ladies, who am I going to have to kick out! This is a quiet area" ... the tone they took with grown women was absolutely horrific. They claimed it was because people were trying to "relax" during their treatments. The treatments are not relaxing... they are in a communal room, youre on a plastic table getting scrubbed with buckets of water thrown on you and lube up with enough oil for a Diddy freak off. Like I said, I thoroughly enjoyed it but if youre looking for a quiet spa like experience, this isn't it. You must be comfortable walking around naked...it was actually quite liberating for me but may not be for everyone. I will definitely be back. It used to be a place I'd happily recommend to people looking to relax and reset. That changed recently when it became clear they are not welcoming to motorcycles. As someone who rides, that's a pretty disappointing stance to see from a business I've supported for so long. I'm not interested in supporting places that single out riders or create an unwelcoming environment for people simply based on how they arrive. It's a shame, because the facility itself has always been solid and I used to enjoy coming here. But culture matters. If a business doesn't want to be welcoming to the riding community, that's their choice--but it also means they won't be getting any more of my business. Plenty of other places out there that are happy to welcome everyone who walks through the door. ‍
