The volunteers at the door made sure they greeted everyone which made me feel welcomed. The free donut and coffee made it even more welcoming . I can see why Resonate is a very popular church that is growing quickly as the sermons are awesome and relevant . I would definitely go here if I lived nearby but I only came to visit as I heard so many good things about this place ! Faithful to the Word; unapologetic truth that points us to the compassion and mercy we have received. All sermons (from old and New Testament) show how Jesus' sufficient job on the cross is the a-z of the Bible (and really the core of life ). 2) The people! A group of people that know they are broken, don't pretend, and are there for you when you fall and are in the dumps. They eat with you, pray with you, cry with you, mourn with you, are goofy with you, admonish you, encourage you, and plainly walk through life with you. We left the church when we had to move to another country, but I wouldn't have left otherwise! Miss my New Life family!!! But the Lord is always faithful and I have a new church family in Canada now If you're on the fence about checking it out, don't be! Just go! Try it out a few times and then decide. We now also have an assistant pastor, Rich, who's been such a blessing to New Life. Since Rich's arrival, we've witnessed a huge growth in young adults ministry. - Though I'm sure people will only write good stuff about their own church, I want to first let you all know that I am going to be as unbiased as possible in the following review. I found New Life back in April through a pastor I'd met in Palo Alto. I had just moved back home from New York, and while looking for a church to settle in, the pastor suggested this church that is fairly new in my neighborhood. Since it was a pastor I trusted, I decided to give it a try. It couldn't hurt - it was only a few minutes from my house! Though I was at a very confusing stage in my life when I first started attending this church, I was able to settle in without feeling uncomfortable, thanks to the friendly, non-intimidating environment that is not too in-your-face. Seven months later, I am still attending the church. I have experienced a slow but visible growth in my faith, through the loving and supportive community, as well as Pastor Dave's sermons which are always on-point. The vibe of the community is very fun, friendly, yet intimate. Pastor Dave's sermons are intellectual and witty, but never straying away from the very core of the gospel. Though it is a fairly small church, there is an order that cannot be ignored. I believe this is a reflection of the gospel-centeredness of the church. This allows the church members to be accountable and supportive towards one another. What I love the most about NLMC is how welcoming and accepting everyone is towards newcomers who are still questioning their faith or have never even been to church. I have been to churches where there's the "inner circle" of people who grew up in that church their whole lives, but this church does not question or judge your faith; instead they provide you with some insights and guidance to understanding Christ. The congregation is mostly young married couples or young parents, but there still is a younger single crowd. The church vibe is still very young, and the church is very responsive to the younger crowd, so it'd be nice to see it grow more. Anyways, I suggest everyone to check out the church just for two weeks. I know that everyone feels differently about different churches, but I am pretty confident this one will make you feel safe as a place to grow in your faith.

I love this parish and not being biased at all. I've had so many priests and most of them are all-time favorites and some of them I truly miss. From Fr Matthew V, may he rest in peace, Fr Brandon, Fr Matt, Fr Lee, Fr John, and now we have Fr Ken. Great Deacons here as well Several things people who attends here regularly, the parish welcomes newcomers, first time and visitors. They will give you a HS pendant to take with you. The parish also help the local community and have table of plenty. I have been fortunate to volunteer and help. The parish has many ministries you can join. It's such a lovely and friendly community. One great thing about this place welcomes all! Especially kids, do not be afraid to bring your kids to mass. I have brought my toddler and I used to be nervous, no one has ever given me the glaring eyes. Overall, I don't think I'll ever find a parish in our area that's so friendly and lovely anywhere else.

We believe in God, Jesus as His Son and the Holy Spirit as the Trinity and the death and resurrection of Jesus on the Cross for our sins and eternal Heaven and life with God for the saved. There are light refreshments available on campus at Church on Sunday mornings (lemonade, water, coffee, tea, donuts) and three main buildings A, B, and C; B having a recently renovated children's unit. The English ministry is in building A, and it usually goes a little something like this: 1. Praise and Worship, 2. Sermon by the Pastor, 3. Prayer and Announcements, 4. Excusal and buildings C and B also include Mandarin, Filipino, Deaf, Telugu, and youth services as well as Special Needs Bridges Crew. I personally love going to a Church where all are welcome, no matter your walk with God, whether doubting, fledgling, there is no clear-cut Christianity in my book! You either are for God or you're against Him. Because God loves me so much He sent His Son Jesus Christ, born of Mary who was a virgin and the Holy Ghost's power and He really is my Savior, Messiah, Savior, Light of my Life, Light of my World, and God gives me the strength to carry on in a burdensome world. We can ask for anything in Jesus' Name and if it aligns with God's will for us, He can make it happen! God loves you!! There is nothing you have done, said, thought, nothing at all that can't be erased at the Cross at Jesus Christ's blood on the Cross, He defeated death and rose again 3 days later so we can spend Eternity with Him in Heaven! That, my friends, is the good news of Christ Jesus. That is our Gospel and our Good News. I have never been so actively involved in a church that resembled Acts 2 as much as I've been privileged enough to see how this one has. I will forever be grateful to God for the uncompromising preaching from God's Word, loving familial care people within this church have for one another, dedication to raising up godly leaders, and relentless desire this church has for the sanctification of its members to become more like Christ. I really appreciate how seriously our pastors take living out God's Word and effectively teach it to others to also live out and showcase the Gospel and its transforming work to a watching world. Some specifics that showcase these things include but are not limited to: - whenever I have a question from a sermon or just in general, the pastors happily respond thoroughly and Biblically. - After my husband and I had our baby, the church was so quick to ask even beforehand to set up a meal train that provided delicious meals. And the family ministry here has been extremely helpful so we don't feel alone in raising our child in the ways of the Lord. - If I am ever sick or absent for any reason from church or Bible study there are a number of people from the church reaching out making sure I'm doing okay, praying for me, and asking if there is anything they could do to come alongside me. - even during this pandemic, the elders have been vigilant in making sure everyone is doing okay. I could go on, but these are just some of the many examples I have of how God has mightily utilized this church to love and care for me.

I am giving this 1 star only because there is no option for 0 stars…read more I would not recommend this "church," and I am writing this to warn others not to come here. My experience was deeply unhealthy and harmful. The leadership is controlling, manipulative, and spiritually abusive in ways that left me (and others I knew) anxious, isolated, and afraid to speak up. I personally saw people who raised concerns get silenced, shamed, or even pressured to "repent" for simply questioning leadership decisions. The toxic culture of control runs very deep. "Disciplers" (spiritual mentors) often insert themselves into areas of members' personal lives where they have no business. For example, trying to dictate whether someone is "allowed" to date, move homes, purchase a house, use family tracking apps, or even play video games. These things were framed as sinful, and anyone who questioned that way of thinking was labeled unsubmissive to church leadership and to God. What makes this worse is how skillfully Scripture was twisted to justify it all. At first it could sound good and convincing, but over time it became clear to me that Bible verses were being taken out of context to control, intimidate, and bully members into compliance. In my opinion, this is not spiritual care, it is spiritual abuse and manipulative bullying disguised as faith. It upsets me most how they target college students, especially at Santa Clara University. Students who are eager to grow and learn can easily get swept up without realizing how controlling and damaging the environment really is until it is too late. There are passages in the Bible that describe the character qualifications for elders and deacons. I believe that the lead pastor at New Life, and the deacons, fail to meet nearly all of the Biblical qualifications. In my view, this is NOT a safe church community, especially for young people or anyone vulnerable. If you are considering New Life, I strongly encourage you to be cautious and to find a church where leadership is transparent, accountable, and genuinely supportive, not coercive.

I realize GrX is also a multi-dimensional church that isn't just centered on Sunday worship - they're keen on serving the surrounding communities and supporting missionaries overseas. This is a self-sacrificing and gracious group of people; it's been especially encouraging to see the commitment behind the pastoral staff and operations (i.e. worship, setup, sound teams). My tip for newcomers: keep an open mind and plug yourself into a small group - there are many to choose from.
