After I decided to try Yoga for that hour of bliss and quiet, I was strongly suggested by the Yoga instructor that I see a chiropractor. When I say suggested, I mean she said and I quote, " Girl, you are seriously messed up.. what happened to you." So apparently when you have 3 kids in 4 years your bones naturally have to shift and make room for your bundle of joy and your bones doesn't necessarily go back to where they supposed to. You add a few car accidents to the mix and you got your self a shifted spine with hips that are an inch and a half out of place. When we are young we all think that we are invincible but turns out we are only human. So, upon searching out a Dr to help me stay away from Dr scholtz shoes and keep me strutting in my heels I found Dr Colby. He took the time, sat down with me and explained the whole adjustment process In detail, reviewed my x-ray and made sure I understood my problem areas and how he planned to fix it. After my very first adjustment I could absolutely feel the difference. You get so used to the back pain after having kids that you really start to think it's normal. Once my nerves were Un - pinched, a lot of that pain and headache went away instantly. I couldn't be happier with the results. Half way through the therapy and it's like I'm 20 all over again. My fiance originally found Dr. Colby himself and started going due to his back pain and he wanted to get some relief. He raved about his experience with him, and convinced me to check him out to see if he can do something about my migraines. I made an appointment in August of 2014, and ever since I have been migraine free. It is now May of 2015 and I can't even believe I lived a life of having multiple migraines a week. Dr. Colby really has helped me and I continue to go for maintenance checkups. He really loves what he does and is extremely knowledgeable about Chiropractic care. I had the pleasure of attending a Pilates Reformer class with Mary at The Posture Bar as a part of…read morethe Yelp Fit Club. What an awesome experience! This cozy studio off Farmington Ave. has everything you need for a great workout. This class was my first time doing pilates with the reformer machine, and Mary was sure to explain everything and help us perfect our form. She was so calming and knowledgeable; you can tell she is passionate about her job and her clients. The workout was much more difficult than I thought it would be-in a good way! Of course Mary makes all the moves look so easy, but I could definitely feel it in my legs and thighs the next morning. Even through a short, introductory session, I could see how regularly attending classes like this would help get that toned look. Drop-ins are $35, but there is a 3 for $20 deal going on now. Mary is also Barre certified, so I am looking forward to trying one of those classes, too!
