I recently had my back go out on me while working around the garage. No heavy lifting, simply…read moremoving ordinary household items around for organizing (e.g., ladder, chairs, tools, etc.). I did several yoga stretches that typically work the kinks out of my back when this happens, but this time was different and I would soon find out within the next 12 hours after this. I wake up from my sleep immediately falling out of bed when I thought I told my body I wanted to stand. It took me about 30 min to crawl and make my way to the bathroom and then I laid on the floor for another hour or so. Called up my brother & sister and they both recommended Anthony at Vitruvian. Made the appointment and fortunately Anthony was available and my sister was able to take me to that first appointment. To summarize my first visit, "NO PAIN, NO GAIN." He dug in to my issues and performed some painfully amazing work on my back and other related muscles. Anthony made an excellent assessment coupled with detailed descriptions of what the affected muscle groups were and how my movements would be impacted if left untreated. He gave me an easy to follow regimen of stretches & excercises to do in between my appointments, was incredibly easy to reach (this includes email), and left no questions unanswered. I never felt left in the dark about what his goal was for my back and what my responsibilities were as the patient undergoing PT. Only after 2 appointments with Anthony, my back feels 90% back to where it was before it went out. Why only 90%? Because he helped me realize my posture and how I lift heavy items have always been bad and he's now correcting these decades-long habits in order to save my back and help me live according to my lifestyle, not how I was when I actively played highschool and college football. I called to reschedule my appointment from the 7th and the appointments that I had scheduled the following week for the week of the 18th and the 25th every Tuesday and Thursday. Fast forward I had to reschedule my flight from the 17th to the 19th of December due to the same family emergency and completely forgot to call on Monday to reschedule my appointment on the 19th. I admit it was the last thing on my mind and only remembered mid flight on Tuesday. Today I was running late for my appointment but on my way when I realized I was not going to make it by 8.15. I called at 8.09 saying that I was running late but most likely not going to make it in 4 minutes. I was more than happy to forgo the 15/20 mts that I was late if they would still have me or I could come in later. No one picked up and I left a voice mail message. Get a message a couple of minutes later saying all my appointments were cancelled and had to call on the day for Availability. I called again and explained that I just tried to call to let them know I was running late but on my way and that I left a voicemail message and I was faced with a rude front of house staff that insinuated that he was there all morning and didn't get any phone call or voice mail message and proceeded to tell me I had a cancellation on the 7th (I rescheduled didn't cancel) and a no show on the 19th and today that's why all appointments were canceled and proceeded to give me attitude when I tried to explain what the situation was, which only left me more aggravated and frustrated than I already was. My deductible has been met this year and all my appointments are fully covered so I was trying to do my best to still make it to my appointments since next year I will have to pay for these sessions . The arrogance and attitude that I got this morning made me want to forgo all my appointments. I will find another clinic next year, for my PT and will gladly pay. Bare in mind that I'm a returning patient that has been to the clinic before without any issues. This is not a reflection on my therapist that was wonderful but a sad consequence of a misunderstanding and how poor customer service impacts patients.

Two weeks later I fell and broke my left wrist and had to have surgery...Once again I am in therapy to learn how to use my left hand and fingers. I have 2 different therapists who do different things and they are wonderful. I had a different therapist who was good but she left to go back to teaching. During that time I had to stop therapy because my husband who went there before me, unfortunately had to have Heart surgery...They put a hold on my therapy so that I could take care of my husband. I am slowly returning to therapy and my hand is getting better. I highly recommend EVERYONE at the Therapy Spot...Office people included! Huy is my assigned physical therapist and I'm so grateful for his knowledge and dedications in what he does. I have a very low pain tolerance, yet Huy is extremelyyy patient and encouraging to motivate and guide me through all the exercises to make sure I'm reaching the necessary intensity and milestones for my recovery journey within a safe measure. They also have other assistants helping out during the exercises and all of them are very kind. Their positive environment makes my whole physical therapy journey a lot more tolerable and somewhat enjoyable. I'm always looking forward to my sessions there.
