They treated me professionally and compassionately. My concern is with an organization that appears to prioritize revenue over patients. I came to the emergency room because I believed I was experiencing a medical emergency--not because I had a choice. I left not only grateful for the medical care, but shocked by the charges that followed. As an insured, working American who pays taxes and health insurance premiums, I found it difficult to understand how basic items and routine services could be billed at prices that seem disconnected from reality. Patients don't comparison-shop during emergencies, and they shouldn't be financially punished for seeking care. The standard response is always, "That's just how healthcare works." But those prices are set by people. Leadership chooses the policies that determine what patients are charged. The medical staff earned my appreciation. The billing practices earned this review. I hope the leadership of this organization takes a hard look at whether its financial priorities truly reflect its mission to care for the community.

I visited Paragon Sports Medicine for Achilles tendinitis and shoulder pain. I'd never visited an…read moreorthopaedic doctor before so I was a bit nervous, but my visit went really well. Betsy did my x-rays and she was very considerate when positioning me for the machine and participated in a friendly conversation which distracted me from my shoulder worries. Dr. Garten was great as well, explaining why I was experiencing the pains in my heel and shoulder and telling me what I could do to help avoid and alleviate the pain, including a few weeks of physical therapy. He diagnosed my shoulder as impingement and let me know that it was fixable which was a relief. For the ladies who may decide to visit Paragon, lemme warn you... Dr. Garten is a little bit of a hottie. He makes a lot of direct eye contact and his baby blues are hypnotic. It was all I could do not to giggle while he was talking to me. But I did a great job of keeping myself together, and I hope you do too. Prior to my visit, I had to cancel and reschedule because of the recent snow in Atlanta, and Paragon was quick to respond. I also had an insurance question about my visit that I handled via email, and received a quick response for that as well. If you call and get the voice mail, leave a message because they'll call you back fairly quickly or the next day. You'll have to pay for parking to visit Paragon. It's located in the Northwest Medical Offices (inside the west building with the big W on the side). The parking isn't expensive at $2 for up to 30 min and $3 for up to 60 min. The rates go up after that, but I didn't capture how high. Overall, two thumbs up!

Due to my former job with the Atlanta Hawks and Thrashers, Dr. Hoadley sent me to Dr. Garten. Finding the place wasn't hard, and it's in one of the nicest housing areas of Atlanta you'll see (West Paces Ferry Rd). Parking was a breeze (you will pay $5 to park), and then his office was in the West Tower on the 2nd Floor (there is also an East Tower). Walking in, I found the office space to be very clean and seemed to be very new. Maybe it was just all the modern furniture. I was the only one there (must have been the first patient at 9AM), and got checked in right away. The front desk lady was very nice. It wasn't long before I was called back and waited. I had handed the lady my MRI cd and notes, and she had me wait while Dr. Garten reviewed it. I certainly didn't mind the 10 minute wait or so. Walking in, Dr. Garten was very friendly and I just loved his demeanor. I went over a brief history of my running, and he had me hop up on the table and lie down. It took him literally three minutes to hit the pain points. He mentioned he reviewed my MRI and went over what was ailing me, but had wanted to check the spots first. It was SUCH a relief to hear. It was more a relief to hear that my injury wouldn't require surgery, and that a steroid pack plus PT should resolve it. Even better, someone in his family had the same injury as mine, so he referred to a PT that could handle it. I'm certainly a happy customer, b/c of the service I received and also the immediate result of knowing what was wrong. I would refer Dr. Garten to anybody. Great bedside manner and accurate diagnosis.

Dr. Fidelia Osinubi really cares about her patients and she will definitely get your health back on track. Being straight forward, with a great bedside manner is what most patients want, When you have that and get courtesy and professionalism make the entire experience great. My experience with the male therapist was not good at all. Daniel Smith injured me so I am now limping and using a cane. He applied excess force. The Company denied the injury and did not offer help. One of the owners, Daniel Navarro took a walk-in patient during my visit time. He also took time out to do administrative work so I barely got ten minutes out of the thirty minutes scheduled for my visit. My advice is to not use the male therapist here. Very disappointing. SAS

I only came here because my rheumatologist, told me that I would have to go to pain management, in…read moreorder to get my pain med I had been on, in Alabama which is all in my medical records. I've never been to pain management as my primary care doctors knew me, my conditions, and managed my pain. I guess they felt confident in their abilities unlike Webb. I searched for a pain doc and decided on this place due to all of the good reviews and because he's black. It's no secret that 6F doctors treat black patients differently than they do 6F patients and I felt Dr.Webb would be more kind and compassionate regarding my pain as a young black female with many health conditions. WRONG! The appointments with Webb were always rushed, he never did a physical exam on me, never ordered any x-rays or mri's (I thought odd since there is a radiology facility down the street), bloodwork, didn't document my right arm pain, never diagnosed me, and overall he didn't seem interested or engaged with me much. Just stared at his computer talking to his nurse. My first appointment was a consult that consisted of nothing really but him telling me he was going to call in some expensive cream from Louisiana and I had to go to physical therapy. I have joint pain from the Wegener's, acute pancreatitis, sciatica, and back pain. I let him know my history, the med I was on, what I cannot take which is NSAIDS including Tylenol as it has caused pancreatitis in me. He said he wanted my records before prescribing anything but he said he would prescribe me Percocet (he claimed to not and not the med I was on. He said he doesn't prescribe oxycodone which is a lie as he told me he does. I personally faxed him over past medical records including pharm records to show I took the med and how often I got it filled, my rheumy faxed him over office notes as he requested, and even called him and left him his personal cell number if he wanted to talk to him. My rheumy called me that night and let me know he called Webb etc. Webb and his 6F nurse claimed to not know anything about that. They faxed his office again. My previous pain med was oxycodone immediate release 15mg AS NEEDED for pain and I did not take it all the time. I explained this to Dr.Webb, in detail, and how I was prescribed that last summer when I was hospitalized with pancreatitis and the hospitalist told me to not take Tylenol. Dr.Webb ignored it. He first prescribed Norco (later he said he didn't remember saying Percocet and it seems like he has memory issues) a med that has Tylenol in it. I wasn't going to take it and still haven't though I did have it filled because I felt I was stuck with this doctor. I also have a weakness of giving people chances so I thought at the 3rd visit I would attempt to explain yet again. I spoke with the pharmacist after he filled it and I let him know all of this and how I spoke with Webb about this. The pharmacist could see my profile and saw the last pain med I was on. He told me pure oxy doesn't have Tylenol but Norco does. I attempted to talk to Dr.Webb again on the phone and I have the conversation recorded. Georgia like Alabama is a one party consent state so I don't need anyone's permission to tell them I am recording them or get their permission. I have an app installed on my phone because I had some dealings with an ex employer that lied on me and I had to sue them. I won't go into the full call but it was basically Webb playing semantics, wasting my time and telling me I would have to have kidney failure or be on my death bed before he'd continue my med I was on that worked for me, etc etc. He also said "I have to protect my business". Red flag right there it was never about patient care but about business. I also let him know the first med he prescribed me was something I hadn't taken since the beginning of 2020 and that dosage wasn't even something I had been on. Again he played semantics and said I had taken it and again I had to explain the last time I took it and why I couldn't. It was clear he did not bother to read all of the records he claimed he wanted. in fact he told me at the last visit "I don't go by what other doctors say". Lol so then why the heck would you want my records including imaging if you don't go by what other doctors say? At the last visit he prescribed me oxycodone with Tylenol again something I told him I couldn't take. Only this time I went ahead and filled it and took one pill. I ended up having a reaction to it (neck swelled, throat closed, and hurt, hurts to talk, gastro issues flared, etc). On Jan.28 I called Webb to let him know and speak with him but his secretary said "he doesn't call people back" and of course he never called me back. I have filed a complaint with the medical board and will seek legal action. Instead of wasting people's time Webb should review records FIRST before taking on patients he's scared to treat or not be a pain doctor. That little $35 copay they contacted me about I will not pay

Dr Smith listens well and is very set on getting at the root of the problem even if treatment takes him to a different treatment option. It is all about progress in the right direction even if he has to pass on a referral to one of his colleagues.
