By far the most affordable record store in town if you're on a budget. Whenever I want to find a new record I go to Vinyl Diner and have the owner order it for me. Often times it can be cheaper than online!! The owner and staff is always kind, respectful, and knowledgeable of all kinds of music!

Their prices have been jacked up consistently for seven years, moreso than any other physical vinyl shop I have visited. Not worth it for the occasional gem they carry. Always trying to sell bootlegs for ridiculously high prices. I've been increasingly shopping elsewhere but still felt obligated to shop at this local shop. Not worth it for the time and money and to have to pay for parking. This RSD weekend was my last visit due to their high prices and rude staff; there's other places with better prices that treat all their customers well and actually keep their word regarding holds.

They have all genres of music you might want. If you are into crate digging you can spend hours in here and you will probably find a lot of gems you want. They have a bunch of crates of 1 and 2 dollar vinyls. I got several great records from them and they were all in great condition.They are also a smoke shop if your looking for a pipe or other smoking accessories.

Better Off Duds is well organized and not overwhelming because the racks and shelves are reasonably stocked. There are men's and women's clothes as well as accessories and shoes. I purchased an absolutely awesome floor length, orange maxi dress and I might add that the two girlfriends who accompanied me found clothes in plus sizes that fit them well. The business card says size and gender inclusive, and it's true. The back of this cozy store has a small amount of home decor, kitchenware and other classic goodies. If I had money to burn, I would have bought more items. I really liked that the dressing rooms were clean and sizable. I think it's safe to assume that the woman working while I shopped last week was the owner. She was really friendly. An acquaintance of mine knows her and said that she's really involved in the community and works at bringing small business owners together, which I think is great. Saskatoon needs more passionate people like this.

They…read moreare, as far as I've seen, one of only a minimal number of used book stores left in the city. However there have been a few changes aside from the new store. The most predominate change is that their large inventory consists only of one title: The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho. That's right, folks. The most intellectually fossillizing piece of literature from this side of the galaxy. Working the till was a young man with long, blonde hair who probably owns too many Sublime t-shirts. Curious, I asked him where all the other books, to which he replied "Other books?". "Yes" I said with my eye-brows closing in on each other, "Like Othello, The Bible, Pride and Prejudice?"his only reply was a blank stare. Whether the ignorance is willful or the product of a profound miseducation, it appears that the staff of Westgate Books has no other knowledge of any other form of printed literature that has come into existence, ever. Finally he came back to the conversation, overcoming his own mental exhaustion and said 'Don't worry, "when you want something, all the universe conspires in helping you to achieve it."'reciting the idiotic pablum that is the thesis of spiritual-egotism found in The Alchemist. The only thing left for me to do was to weep for this poor wretch and prayed that God would have mercy on his poor rodent-like soul. Also, it's kind of expensive for a used book store and they argue with their customers.
