Sometimes you walk into a store and love the way it smells! There are typical tourist items for purchase, but then are some really great pieces. Handmade items from metal and pottery. Something for everyone and at a reasonable price. The space is small and the area behind the shop has so much to offer, glad the are getting some prime retail space up the street. We are so happy we stumbled upon this shop. They have a HUGE selection of decorations, furniture, pots, metal work, art, etc. The entire place is massive and they have an amazing selection. We even found out that they will do custom work as well. My mother in law purchased a few agave plants, pots, decorations, and candles. They helped load everything in the truck and were super nice. 10/10 recommend. Just be prepared to be there for a few hours to see everything and shop. read more

A person could get lost for days in the Retablo stores!! Almost as good as being in Mexico. The pottery/decor store had great prices. The owner was so kind, she ran to the other store to get me a Talavera fountain. The furniture store has beautiful items but is overpriced on many things. Cheaper to go to Mexico to purchase the same thing. Nice staff and friendly atmosphere keeps this Retablo in business. read more

When we visit AZ, we always take a drive to Cave Creek. I visit this store and purchase every time we come into this quaint town. One time we had some items shipped home (horse hide and a bull skull) because it was easier. There are so many items to explore here. I love returning! read more

I'd been searching for awhile for some bigger pots for my backyard and I didn't want to have to break the bank for it - I recently got three pots and three metal art decor pieces for $346 and was very pleased. My favorite store to buy unique items. I love the one of a kind products that they have. I'm not sure why there is a couple of negative stars. This place is amazing! The prices are affordable and you are getting a gorgeous handmade item. It's not a fast paced manufactured in large quantities type of items but handcrafted. If there are a few imperfections to the items that's because it's unique and no other is like it, that's what I love. I saw a review about how in Mexico you can buy it of fraction of the cost... okay but how many times are we traveling to Mexico? They have to pay import taxes, their workers and the gas to travel back and forth. I will gladly support a local shop with such gorgeous items. Like a lot of other locals looking for the occasional offbeat metal art, pottery or southwest gift items, I have gone to the Town Dump in Cave Creek, but haven't had a satisfying shopping experience. So I wised up and looked at Yelp reviews, and discovered Buffalo Bill's Trading Post. I don't know how many times I have gone by this place without stopping. What a mistake! It is a great place to find the more unique folk art and pottery pieces for yourself or to give as gifts, at reasonable prices. I was greeted upon entering the shop and had a great time looking around and finally making tough decisions on a few purchases. The place is much bigger than it looks from the road, so plan to do some browsing! Your out-of-town visitors will also love it! read more

We went to this store for the first time and thought we found a place to get some really great pots and decor. We didn't spend a lot, just over $300. For 5 items. They wrapped them up we thought was ok with them knowing how to wrap them up to make it home safe. We live about an hour away so we could not make it back in in 14 days. We made it back in 18 days and was told we are out of luck and they could not exchange them. One of the items we bought had a small hole in which we did not notice. I guess that was our fault. Needless to say I will need to find another store and will not shop here again. read more

Oh yelpers. I searched this place out due to the reviews and at least 6 other cars pulled in while I was "looking" for my deal. NOT ONE of us bought anything. WAY over priced for things you could pick up in Mexico for a fraction of the cost. I was there for over half an hour... Man at desk was kind enough to answer questions and discuss what I was looking for though...so 2 stars. Things are looking, well, tired. As I do sales and marketing I will suggest that they lower prices by 15-20%. At least offer "Sales" days or deals...better to have lower margins then NO sales. Just saying. read more

This store carries some of the most unique southwest items in the area. If they don't have it - they'll get it for you. On top of that, the prices are incredibly reasonable. If you're in doubt - price an item at Buffalo Bill's and then drive 300 yards up Cave Creek and price the same item. Guaranteed it will cost 10x more elsewhere. The owners are incredibly friendly and helpful. They've even delivered larger furniture items to the house at no additional cost. I don't shop anywhere else. read more

I always make a point to stop by Buffalo Bill's when I am in Cave Creek. It is a bonanza of unique items and good deals. I was looking for a set of 3 decorative pots. If you cannot find them at Buffalo Bill's then you are helpless. They do not ship out of state so you'll have to hit up the UPS store on Tom Darlington Rd. to ship your wares. Friendly and helpful employees. Lots of great finds here. read more

Best prices on Talavera Pottery anywhere, and some really cool unique items. The inside is pretty much touristy "made in China" items, but if you are willing to brave the outside area in back of the store, DO IT! They accept returns also. My one and only complaint was the lack of parking spaces. read more
