Parking for our cabin

Wife and I just returned from a quick 3 day trip. It killed us to come back! Excellent secluded cabins, great value and super pet friendly. If you want a retreat from the busy city life, this is the place. Staff is superb and helpful. Definitely helped us find things to do around the area. It's far enough away to be rustic but close enough that getting to eureka isn't a chore.

The cabins are lovely and secluded. The resort itself is the most pet friendly place I have ever visited! It was so wonderful to share the trip with the love of my life and my furbaby. Definitely don't miss out on the turtle labyrinth for some meditation in the morningsun. I can't say enough great things about my experience there!

It's far enough away from Eureka Springs and any big city lights that the stars put on quite a show at night.

My therapeutic work with adults and kids has included completing diagnostic evaluations, college students, crisis intervention, & work in fast paced, difficult treatment settings such as partial hospitalization and residential treatment facilities. I'm experienced working with a variety of diagnoses from mild to severe problems including abuse recovery. Many of the persons I have worked with over the years have had Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Generalized Anxiety, Bipolar Disorder, Post Traumatic Disorder (PTSD), Panic, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), Dysthmia, etc. The behavior disturbances were sometimes so severe these persons were requiring out-of-home placements in treatment facilities, emergency shelters, juvenile detention, and DHS custody. I am knowlegeable about and do have experience treating problems such as an adjustment reaction for short term help coping with divorce, a new health issue, or other life struggle. I have been eligible to provide clinical supervision opportunities to Licensed Associate Counselors since 2009. And since 2002, I have consistently been nationally certified through the National Board of Certified Counselors.

I went here based on a referral from a well respected friend. She referred me to Rebecca Albright,…read morebut I received a message from her indicating she was on vacation and then upon return had a full schedule with existing customers and therefore referred me to Nancy Anderson. I met with Nancy a couple of times individually as well as with my daughter and ex-husband. She also met with my current husband. I expressed my main concern was that of my teenage daughter and bad behaviors that I believed were primarily a result of inconsistent parenting and lack of communication between myself and my ex-husband. Specifically that we would agree upon rules and consequences but that I seemed to be the only one following through on these even though we BOTH agreed to them. This was creating a lot of animosity between my daughter and I and ultimately led to her wanting to go live her father full time. When we finally had the opportunity to review the rules and consequences (which I had written down to ensure that her Dad and I agreed with it and we had also presented to my daughter) the first words out of Nancy's mouth was and I quote "Oh there are way to many rules here. We need to get these down to just a few. Ashley what rules do you think are important" I couldn't believe it. Before even understanding what the rules were or why we both felt these rules were important, she completely dismissed them. In return she not only undermined us, but gave Ashley more power which was already a problem. She continued to tell Ashley that by the time she was a Senior in High School she ideally shouldn't have a curfew. What??? Why would you tell a teenage daughter who has a history of sneaking out that she shouldn't have curfew. And she said it with our daughter sitting right there. I knew after that session that we would not be back. I cannot tell you how much damage she caused in that one session. To top it all off, I have never received a call or an email from Nancy since that session. (She had no idea when we left that we were not coming back) I guess she didn't care. I real counselor would have followed up with their patient/patients. I also called again and left a message for Rebecca Albright letting her know that it wasn't working out with Nancy and would she please call me. She NEVER even returned my call. I have never written a review before, but felt so strongly about writing this one because I hope anyone thinking about going here for counseling will think twice about it. Don't GO!!!!
