In chg my acct due fraud charges, I opened new acct in May. With important deposits, I did my end, went to bank and showed them info from SS. They DID NOT block OLD acct, which caused overdraft and NOW they want me to cover that amt..The phones are Not Answered after 10am..They whether you call # on the card.. over seas..so much for customer SVC..my branch is mamk ave..I'm switching banks TOMORROW..terrible SVC. btw..not branch mgr, relationship mgr. ?????

He did not sit with me to discuss the issue that I had originally came into discuss. He told me if I needed anything to give him a call. The call got cut off several times and he acted like it was a chore and rolled his eyes when I asked him to redial the number he had provided. in fact, it was different than the phone number listed. Afterward, he gave a bit of an attitude when the fraud and risk department and dispute department said that he needed to handle the situation. He yelled, acted unprofessionally, and incompetently when my mom and I asked for his advice for the next steps. He proceeded to connect us to the phone call yet again when my mom assumed this time he would stay in the room with us to redeem himself. He angrily punched the button and left to help other customers and have lunch. The situation was left unresolved, however, I was able to finally get a hold of someone who was competent enough to do her job before the phone was disconnected. By the time, the call got disconnected because the lines were tied up the bank was closing. He had to call a third time and I needed to go through five different department, 100 employe workers, and one banker before I gave up. The banker clearly did not care about my situation and was more interested in other customer. The other banker was on his phone with one teller that looked like they wanted to be anywhere but where they worked. I finally got an answer the next day when I had to visit a different Citibank, much better customer service, even walked me through the necessary steps and resolved the issue. Quite a difference to the Mamaroneck Avenue branch. If you need to go to Citi, I recommend the ones outside of White Plains, in Hoboken or NYC.

This is my local branch of TD Bank: America's most convenient bank…read more I chose to go with TD over Citi or Chase because TD stands for TORONTO DOMINION bank and I am a loyal to the DOMINION OF CANADA, the greatest country on god's green earth, despite the accident of birth being born 688 kilometers too south of the border. God save the Queen. (Independence for Quebec!). Because TD is a Canadian financial entity I decided to put my U.S. capital in their hands. This bank is managed by a large Jolly gentlemen named Terrance who looks an awful lot like American Idol 2003 winner Reuben Studdard. His faithful associates Kimberly and Christophe always deliver exceptional service with a smile, and very much more often than not let me take their pens and lolly pops. Sometimes they have children's activities such as appearances from local clowns, as well as clam bakes during the summer and tir d'erable (maple taffy) during the winter. If you ask nicely sometimes they even give you free bubbles so you can blow your own bubble money! They even have a drive through and are open until 8pm. These folks know how to bank tell. I would much rather support the exalted kingdom of Canada and their royally chartered banking outposts in the US than institutions like Citi or Chase who are the financial equivalents of vampire squids sucking on the face of society, as my homie Matt Taibbi once said. I would not trust my money to anyone else.
