I entered the small store and immediately went to the fudge counter, in the middle of the store on the left. The lady was finishing waiting on a gentleman. She barely greeted me and asked what I wanted. I started to ask a question and she interrupted. She interrupted everytime, before I was finished, as if she knew what I was going to ask. I thought it was rude and off-putting. She offered a fudge sample. I had one of orange cream, and a toffee (fudge is $14.99/lb). It was overly sweet, not very flavorful or aromatic, and had the texture of Play-doh. And then I spied Them: couple of small, black, fly-like bugs that landed on the very toffee fudge that I just sampled, and hovered above the orange cream. That was it for me. Between that and the rude proprietress, I decided to cut my losses. They have a conglomeration of small gift items, such as earrings, mood rings (remember those?), bracelets and some candies and graphic t-shirts. Everything seemed neat, but haphazardly scattered throughout. There's on-street parking, and the only handicap spot is right next to the store, in front of the old, abandoned Papa Joe's Restaurant (sad, because that was my favorite: dining on their deck with great, live music, friendly locals, drinks and tempura shrimp). I wish I had a more positive experience. But this just wasn't worth the trip (35 miles 1 way) or the money, especially with the bugs sitting on food. But hey, I guess for some it would be a source of protein. Just not me.

A few years ago, they rarely took card and it was mostly cash, now that is flipped and they take card only at most of the food stands. The extras and games still are primarily cash which is fine, that's what we expected. The big concern I have is again the prices. It was about $20 just for an order of chicken fingers with fries, $17 for fried cheese curds, $5 for a pickle, and at least $4 for a bottle of water. It was $50 every time you wanted something to eat. While I appreciate them being able to take card so I don't need to get a bunch of cash out, I wonder if they jacked up the prices to pay for the card fees. The food isn't very over the top and they definitely feel like they're gouging the prices just a bit. I will say that the "Steak on a Stake" was delicious but not worth the price tag because of it's size. The strawberry shortcake though was HUGE, however it was also $15. The entrance fee is always more and more expensive each year which is another downside. The owner of the festival is not a good person based on what we've read and heard from the employees. It's definitely getting more expensive than it's worth. Also pro tip: there is ZERO reception here so be prepared to meet up with people in the parking area or before you enter. Maybe go old school with some walkie-talkies because finding people is almost impossible here. I love that you can unplug here, just don't get lost or separated from your party.

This would mark the 3rd time I've visited the Renaissance Festival, and it was as great as the…read moreprevious years. Let's get the obvious out of the way, the food and drinks here are pricey. You're looking at $20 turkey legs, $15 dollar beers, $14 fruit smoothies, $6 jerky slabs etc. Of all the years, this was the first year trying their turkey leg. This was giant and you would have to eat it like a barbarian since it isn't the most tender thing. Make sure you grab extra napkins. The "fruit" smoothie isn't made to order and don't contain any actual fruit. Rather a fruit flavoured syrup blended with ice. Nevertheless, this helped us stay cool. The jerky man walking around with slabs of jerky for $6 we've always liked. Tender jerky and for $6, that's not too bad. The shows were entertaining and the actors/actresses seemed to enjoy playing their role which made a difference. We didn't come across anyone who seemed like they didn't want to be there. The employees seemed genuinely nice. There was a "torture museum" which we found to be a waste of money and time. At $5 a ticket, we walked through this shack of dummies in various torture positions, and the entire walk-through took 5 minutes. Would definitely skip that for next time. As for acts, we agreed the most enjoyable and entertaining one was performed by the Acrobatrix hosted by Thunder and Tipsy. Although every act we saw was very good. If there's one thing I wish would improve is the state of the bathrooms, particularly the ones in the way back of the festival. The front and middle ones are kept in decent condition, while the one way in the back isn't climate controlled, and seems like there was no upkeep. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, and now know to stick with the snacks and simple drinks to keep us going throughout the day and finding dinner elsewhere. We look forward to visiting again for future years.

I texted to see how things were going may 24th no answer. I went to the store on May 29th and it looked almost done . At this point I was excited to get it and give it to my husband. I went back to the store June 12th to see what was going on, since I didn't get a phone call or text on the status of the coin holder and it wasn't open . I was ok that's fine I'll come back, I went back to the store. Every day for a week in the store was never opened. Eventually, I found them on Facebook and added them sent them a message asking what was going on. I kept getting the runaround on when to pick up and when it was going to be ready every day was a new excuse on why they couldn't meet up or give me the coin holder . Eventually on Monday May23rd I received the product. It definitely looked like it was just got thrown together with no care in the world. When I first approach this company to make my husbands coin holder, I gave them a reference photo of what I wanted. The only thing that looks remotely like the photo I gave them is the shape everything else looks horrible .when I received the coin holder I could tell it just got burned or glue because it smelled really bad . Before meeting that day he said he already had it done a couple days prior to meeting up, so I was questioning why it would smell like he just now finished it. I'm not sure if he just didn't care about the project or what it was but I was very disappointed especially since this was supposed to be a Father's Day gift/anniversary gift. The communication with this company was absolutely horrible. It definitely was not worth $360. I was highly disappointed because I was looking forward to it and thought it was gonna look absolutely beautiful. I am highly disappointed the owner could tell I was disappointed, because he even said himself "Oh, you don't even like it." if I was him and I knew a client didn't like something I would feel bad and try to get a refund or make a new one. But no, he acted like he didn't care that. I didn't like the product at all, also at this point I was so over him . I just hope this review gifts another person a spotlight on how this company operates . The communication is horrible, The product is horrible, the quality is terrible.

Nothing else in the mall had anything, but luckily a couple of staff in other stores pointed us here. Right away we could see they carry the type of merchandise we were looking for. They didn't have one other than NY City, but no matter, because the staff recommended having one custom made. It did not disappoint! The designer walked us through the base keychains, and then suggested having it cut in the shape of NY state, with the name of whatever place she wanted put on. I liked her suggestion of the little star as well. She was so careful and precise in doing the work. It meant a bit of time while she made 100% sure that it would be executed perfectly, but it was so worth it. The $6 odd dollars was beyond a good deal for the item. The amount of craftsmanship put into it, and the perfect result, made me feel like I should have left a tip. There are all kinds of items to be customized or bought as is here. The service is fantastic and the prices are reasonable. It'd be a great place to get customized gifts for anyone. We may not be back soon, but we're glad we came in. Kudos to the staff for their service and especially their work.
