I thought the place had a good level of care. I proceeded to have them come and do their so called assignment to place my loved one with them. I observed their question and answer session which was ridiculous to do to someone with dementia. Then they left telling me I would get a call the next day from them. I didn't receive that call at all. I Then made a call to them 4 days later only to be told several false excuses as to why we weren't a good fit. I Then spoke with the director the 5th day who basically upheld the false excuses and when I pinned her down on the fact that what she was telling me was false and they should Just be honest and say they can't care for my loved one properly. She finally did say they couldn't handle the care that was needed. The sad thing is I observed at least 6 or more residents that are in the same level of care that we need so by her omission I guess they aren't caring properly for those residents either. It wasn't a surprise when I found out they are in bankruptcy right now. I would steer very clear of this place.

True story: my loved one passed on the 22nd of December. I notified them I'd have my mom moved out by the 6th of January. I thought that was fair considering it was a holiday week. Nope. They are now demanding a half month's rent for the 6 days in January that her belongings were still in her room. I have paid a portion, what the estate can afford and they are still demanding the remainder. Bottom line, they are just a business trying to make a buck and compassion comes to a screeching halt once a resident passes away.

But i want the public…read moreto know about something that occurred here at Cambridge House of Maryville yesterday evening Thursday 11-7-23. one of the residents here at Cambridge House of Maryville had eye surgery Thursday. So, she did not go down to the dining room for dinner. A couple of her friends ask the kitchen manager if they could take her a Submarine sandwich. (Submarine Sandwich was one of the items available as dinner choice) they were told that if they got a wheelchair and rolled her down to the dining room that she could have a sandwich. The ridiculous thing about this, is that you take containers to the dining room you can legitimately take your entire meal to your room. Looks to me that the new kitchen manager does not have any humanity. Cambridge House of Maryville will cut coast any way they can. This event is a good example of how greedy they are. So, in my opinion people should be very careful when the choose an assisted living for their loved one. Cambridge house of Maryville has consistently dropped the quality of the food and menu items available in in the dining room since I moved in two years ago.

They are now doing something here that you will not learn about on the Cambridge House web site. They will have item listed on the dining room menu that part of the residents will not receive at the meal. For example, today barbeque ribs were listed on the menu, but the kitchen manager did not order enough for everyone. So, the last 30 percent or so of the resident will have to eat something else. today they got a piece of pork loin with barbeque sauce on it. this is becoming really common at Cambridge House of Maryville. PS. I got fish for lunch (also on the menu for today) this fish was similar to Gordon' frozen breaded fish that you would buy in the frozen department at the grocery store. but it was kind of swivel up and the breading looked really strange. It just did not taste fresh. We had this same fish about a week ago and it was very good. I think I have figured this out. I think they had a lot of the fish left over. So, the cook re froze the already cooked fish. And that left over fish is what we were served today. This is about Saturday 8-12-23. Yesterday evening the diner menu offered, Blackened Fish and potato wedges and other items. My Neighbor ordered the Blacked fish and potato wedges. When the server brought his plate there was only a single piece of fish on the plate. The server told him that they were out of potato wedges, and that they were not going to prepare any more. My Neighbor was offered some potato chips to replace the potato wedges. Things like this happen often here at Cambridge House of Maryville. Also, the Star rating on the Cambridge House web site is not correct. The reason I say this is because one woman that lives here has her same review listed 5 times, and another woman has her same review listed 3 times. So what this means is that Cambridge House 4.8-star rating is not correct !
