The worst rehab center! Some aides don't want to help the patients and have bad attitudes and treat…read morethe patients poorly. They don't give the patients water regularly. They don't offer showers or bed baths. Our loved one has been there for 4 days without getting washed up. Today a stupid nurse tried to give me the patients medication. She never attempted to check an armband. When I told her I wasn't the patient, she got angry and tried to force me to take it. I reported it and hours later the dangerous nurse is still on the floor working. Administration is constantly making excuses. DO NOT SEND YOUR LOVED ONE HERE. IT IS DANGEROUS

Mom was a registered nurse until she retired at the ripe old age of 83 and the last 30+ years of her career was spent in nursing homes and care facilities, so she knew what she wanted in one for herself. While Mom was at Southview, she was well taken care of, and despite having a difficult personality (to say the least...), the staff was always friendly and accommodating whenever I came to visit and as I watched my mom interact with them. The facility was clean, attractive, and updated. It is a smaller facility, which is what my mom wanted, and there were many activities available. The first one was two weeks ago when I posted a one star, due to having a loved one in the Memory Care unit,and in a year,especially the last few months saw it seriously decline,and was witness to some disturbing incidences,and lack of any kind of sense. I am now giving three stars due to how quickly and efficiently they responded,and took action. Clearly they pay attention to reviews. Two days after posting my initial review,this unit had done a 180° ! Employees who were problematic had been let go,the staff was working as a diligent team,treating eachother and residents with help and kindness without bickering or complaining,tasks getting done in a routine manner,and more managers present. I emailed them to let them know how impressed I was with what I saw and then had a terrific conversation with the overall director . She took no sides,just addressed and took action professionally. All of my experiences here -- to see a couple of specialists and to get some imaging -- were good. I don't know whether the cafeteria I visited was the main one or a minor dining establishment, and I can't describe where I was, but the transition time between breakfast and lunch couple have been better. I wish more of the offices validated parking fully. Only one did. The others did at 50%.
