We did a lot of para-waiting due to weather conditions, but we did not mind the wait because we knew that Dave and Don were concerned with our safety above all. We were walked through how the jump would go. The wonderful Ted prepared us by showing us positions and explaining what we would experience while we were in the air with our tandem partner. At no point did I feel unsafe or afraid (except the moment we were perched on the side of the plane, but I think someone would be a little crazy to not feel a bit trepidatious at that point). Bruce and Rocky (our tandem partners) were very friendly and superbly comforting. They walked us through everything we were doing as we were doing it so we understood the whys and hows. They also showed us the beautiful sights of Vernon while we ascended. The views were spectacular! The jump itself was flawless. It feels as though you're actually flying and all fear leaves you as you leave the plane and it's an experience I can't quite explain. I can only say to try it for yourself, and Okanagan Skydive is the company to choose if it's something you want to try!
