I found them in the Home Concepts Magazine and they had ads for both Siding and Decking which I figured was great since I was getting quotes for both and thought there might be some savings using the same company for both projects. I submitted requests online and never heard back. I should have just dropped it there but called to book an estimate. They flagged that they wanted to present to both my husband and I. I should have also walked away at that point as I make the decisions, I've quoted multiple other companies without requiring the presence of my partner, and the only other time a contractor has requested that was another company quoting a roof project that was 3x the cost of other quotes. Palm construction must have a similar business model because after a 1.5 hour estimate and the salesman asking to come inside and wash his hands for some reason their quote was double all other quotes I had received for both deck and siding. What they quoted was 25% the value of our house. It was wild. I asked the salesman to send me a quote to review to just get him out of my house and as I suspected I never heard anything and forgot about it until today. I just got a call from a random guy following up. I said I never got a quote and he said because my husband wasn't there (which he actually was just didn't want to waste time from his work day to talk to these scammers). I said again he doesn't need to be there to get a quote. The guy just kept saying why are you so upset why are you so angry and just hung up. It was so strange. I then looked around at reddit and other reviews and I 100% believe it's scam. STAY FAR AWAY! Also I work in the electronic contracts and signatures space and the sales man pulled out a paper contract saying that he's old school cause the city building commission doesn't allow people to sign contract electronically because they don't want people to scam old people. That alone feels like a scam tactic. I just hope to save someone 2 hours of your day on an estimate and the annoyance.

They got to work immediately, did the job to an impeccable standard, within budget and on time, no fuss. I had said that I would provide the paint but with my husband in the hospital they offered to get it for me along with the barn door my husband had intended to pick up. As if that's not enough, they noticed that my husband had begun patching a hole in the hallway. Without saying a word about it, they fixed the hole and painted it for me at no extra charge.
