I would say the big time corporate thing isn't really for me. this is a business with chains and lots of employees. I prefer smaller businesses with less employees. I felt comfortable enough to get my Brazilian as scheduled. Scheduling is super easy online. I chose a technician based on previous Yelp reviews. She did a great job but seemed to be in a bit of a hurry. Of course a quick wax is never a bad thing. The previous place I went to was a small business, just a lone aesthetician so no worries about gossip. She would go behind a curtain while I undressed and also provided a towel for modesty. This is def not the case here. It's just drop trow in the open room while she mixed the wax and climb on the bed. I was in the Navy and lived on a ship where there was no such thing as privacy so I can handle it- it just wasn't ideal. It's also much more commercial than my small business friend. They try to sell products and the only decor in a wax room are ads on the walls. I'd prefer more of a spa vibe than a "give me your money" vibe. Now that I think of it, the walls were stale white with a poster advertisement not even a bit of cozy vibes. The paper liner on the table was noisy and ripped as I climbed up. This is very different than the warm sheets from my previous aesthetician. Joanna did a great job- in fact, a better job than my lone aesthetician. I booked another but I'm still kinda up in the air if I want to return to a smaller business that doesn't do as great of a job but ensures modesty and makes you feel like more if a person and less like a number or keep my appointment here. They did what they were supposed to do and did it well but I took off a star for being so commercial.

She has fast hands and is great at making one feel comfortable while you're laying on a table with your bits laid bare. Also, the space she works in is well put-together, clean, and very inviting. I've only gotten Brazilians professionally done at one other place, so the only itty-bitty criticism is that both times have had to shower afterwards to finish removing some pieces of wax that have held on. The other location I've gone to would wipe down the area with an oil to help clean up the area with this, but Piper does not do this.
