We went to Rev church on a whim. I saw a flyer online somewhere and decided to check it out. It was close to to where we live and my son on the spectrum was having a hard time in the bigger church we were attending (we loved that church but it wasn't working for our son, no fault to anyone else just he has sensory issues). The first thing that caught my attention was the welcoming atmosphere. The greeters actually looked like they were happy to see me and chit chat. It wasn't fake, I could tell a genuine interest in my family and heart to connect They had a cute little coffee and mini breakfast bar which can come in handy for when you are rushed out the door and feed all the kids but forget yourself. I am always so nervous to send my kids to strangers I don't know yet, but each person working with kids is backgrounds checked and they were so warm and were so invested in our kids learning experience and for my son with extra needs, he was able to attend the regular kids service but have the option of a smaller quieter class if he got overwhelmed. All of my kids come home singing songs and telling me what they learned about God and bible verses. This church has embraced my family "pre-covid" with arms open wide. And even in covid complete virtually I was able to stay connected with a smaller rev group virtually. Now back in person I attend this service. All the Pastors and Staff seem to really care about people. One of the best vibes is the Come as you are ( you won't be judged by your looks in fact the beautiful Pastor's wife Amy rocks gorgeous purple hair currently). They give back to the community through helping feed families and shop for free in the kids clothing closet, give to the homeless to name a few . Every month the set aside specific time to serve in the community and different small group come up with different ways to serve. The small groups also have childcare so that is a big thing for us. Another thing that I have loved is that They have helped families in need in the community, to keep lights on, to put food on their table, to get connected to resources. These are just some of the things I know about. I know there is probably much more that I don't know about. What I love that I see is the heart of this church. Their motto of being real, relevant and relational truly shines through. If you are looking to grow in your faith and be about words not just actions, this church is for you. If you are unsure and searching this church is for you. If you feel like you don't fit in, come and find where your heart and talents align, this church is for you. If you like truth that relevant to life and authentic, but might challenge your comfort zone of being complacent at times, this church is for you. If you are still socially distancing, they do online services, so this church is for you. If you are looking for in person services, this church is for you. If you have a family that is diverse, this church is for you. ( I figured I would mention that I have a preference for a multicultural church and people that are different being together and feeling welcome and not weird that my family is biracial, when there are some places that have been questionable). As soon as I came to Revolution Church 3 years ago, I knew instantly there was something different about this church! I believe we finally found a church that isn't just about 'playing church.' They are REAL, RELATABLE, and RELEVANT. People there truly care about every single person. Because Christ cares about every single person. If you are looking for a church with solid biblical preaching, caring compassionate people, and hearts for outreach and ministry this is what Revolution Church is. Revolution Church is Real, Relatable, and Relevant. The church exists to help people Find and Follow Jesus. The vision is to change the world through radical generosity! It's evident at this place that the people value telling the lost how to be found, they selflessly serve each other and the community, as well as help people grow into a deeper relationship with Jesus. The RevGroups are engaging and allow for deeper connection and thought around the things of God. The worship is powerful and you really feel the power of the Holy Spirit at work here. Lot's of people are starting a relationship with Jesus at this church and so many have followed the Lord in baptism. I have been attending since 2015 and our spiritual life is radically different now from when we started. I loved how Randy would always speak the truth unapologetically, and how Amy put her heart into the worship service. You can feel the spirit move in this place! The people there are my family and I love them fiercely. What I love most is this church has an Acts church feel! We are lost oriented, not running the church based on what our preferences are. We are accepting of everyone and you don't have to jump through legalistic hoops to be a a part of this family. We all recognize we fall short and we are in this together! Randy is an amazing Pastor and they go out of their way to make you feel comfortable and part of the group even as a new attendee. No one judges or cares if you come in a suit or shorts and tank top. I started going here a little over a month ago. Me and my son were looking for a church to join. On my first visit I knew I found the right one. During the service on the first song that we sang I got chills and had tears brought to my eyes. I have never had that happen. This church is amazing. The people, the atmosphere. We moved across the country to Texas where we knew no one. We found our family here at Revolution Church. They have a great children's ministry and a special needs ministry. But the thing I love the most about it is that every person that is there is just normal and relatable.
