I decided to do some Boudoir shots for my husband for his birthday. He'd been after me to do it for sometime but I was reluctant. Finally, i decided to go ahead when I found a living social deal and before things started drooping if you know what I mean :). I was nervous. At 53 with three kids I was afraid the shots would have me running for lyposuction. To the contrary and my relief most of them came out gorgeous which I totally credit to Dan and Somer. I discussed with Somer what I felt my biggest figure flaws were and she not only understood but worked with me which made me feel much less vulnerable. They staged the shots which totally worked for me. I know others have complains about that but I felt that Dan and Somer were the pros. They would know what turns out well in a photograph, not me and I trusted them. I'm so glad I did. And yes, they stage you right down to your fingers but when you see the shots you will understand why. Believe me this attention to detail is what makes them pros. When I first made the appt I spoke with Dan. He did suggest having my makeup done by them for an additional fee. When I explained that I'd been a makeup artist in the past Dan agreed I didn't need their service in this area. I never felt a hard sell. Dan suggested I bring 7 outfits even though the living social deal was for 3. Again, I'm glad I took his advice and brought 7 plus. Somer picked out what she thought would look well in the photo shoot and her suggestions were right on the money. I also brought accessories, long pearls, different pairs of shoes and boots, big rings and various earrings. I didn't end up using all of them but I was glad I had options. Having choices made me feel more confident for some reason. Dan and Somer were total pros even when I had a wardrobe malfunction. It's hard to always be covered up when you're scantily clad and posing in positions that don't feel natural. However, I laughed things off and they made me feel totally comfortable. So bring your sense of humor. In the end they made me look more beautiful then I ever thought possible in photos and all the posses that feel awkward to u come out looking gorgeous in your shots. My honey and I did meet with Jenny to go over proofs. Walking in I said to my husband of 27 years that I hoped I'd get one or two pictures I'd be proud of. I was shocked and delighted that out of 97 shots 92 were great....really great. I will say the pictures were more expensive than I thought they would be, however, we never felt a hard sell. At our age no one hard sells us on anything. The pictures were beautiful and my husband went to town spending much more than I ever would have had I gone by myself. In the end we bought a large album of 25 prints, a 24 x 36 for our bedroom wall and the CD of all the pictures. The only expense that I thought was outrageous was the CD which was $800. That I thought was crazy. My husband being much more worldly concerning professional photography was not surprised at any of the prices with the exception of the CD which we both thought was really high. To buy the CD of all the pics is your choice and Revolution does offer package deals. That being said, the experience was wonderful and I would probably do it again... I would recommend this to anyone and I would very definitely recommend Dan and Somer very highly. Treat yourself to this experience at least once!!! read more

I lost a bet (on football) to my boyfriend. So, as my present to him, I decided to do boudoir photos while he's overseas. Luckily, I found a groupon for Revolution, I chose to get hair and make up since I'm not really a girly girl and I would have no idea how to do my make up of style my hair for this. It was super easy to schedule the appointment and they did a pretty good job at setting my mind at ease over the phone. They gave me a few suggestions (peals, matching bra and panty set, stuff like that, but basically told me to bring what I wanted and they would help me sort it out). The building is pretty easy to find, it seems small, but they do a lot with the space that they have. There are a few things there that you can purchase, but I suggest to bring your own. The stuff they have is pricey and there's no guarantee that they'll have your size. First, was hair and make up. I told her that I wanted it as natural as possible; just a little va-va-voom with my natural beauty. She did an amazing job. She took my input through out the process and kept me informed of what she was doing. Picking out my wardrobe. I had NO CLUE. Obviously, that's normal. They tell you to hang up all of your stuff so they can help you pick out your looks. I talked to Somer for a little bit to get a feel of who I was and she helped me put together 3 outfits (or lack there of). For the shoot, Somer talked me through what to do, but she also let me do some of my own thing. She got some sexy and some playful looks. It was so incredibly relaxing, once it started, it wasn't nervous AT ALL. Choosing the photos was kind of difficult. I don't live in the area, so they were very accommodating with my viewing. There were 100+ to pick through. I had no idea that I could look so sexy! We narrowed it down to about 20, I got a book and a couple prints, which are pricey, but hopefully worth it. They were very helpful with looking from an artistic stand point as well as what shows off the most curves. read more

Let me start by saying that I am a full-time professional photographer. And I chose to do a boudoir shoot with Revolution Studios because of their stellar reputation and the quality of their work. I've done boudoir twice before with other photographers and this experience blew the others out of the water. Firstly, these guys are masters of lighting and posing. They absolutely understand how to make your body look it's absolute best. I've had three kids and have the varicose veins and stretch marks to prove it, and they use lighting and posing to highlight my strengths and minimize those less than pretty parts. Second, the experience is 100% comfortable. Hair and makeup was wonderful. I loved my false eyelashes! And they helped me select each outfit. Some of the things we chose I just love! And the process of shooting was pretty darn comfortable, considering I was in my undies. At one point, I had a wardrobe malfunction, and they turned away until I was all fixed. It was super super professional. Now, on to the best part. The images are FREAKING AMAZING. I have NEVER looked so good. My BF hasn't gotten the present yet, but I have no doubt he will pass out upon opening the book. There's a part of me that wants to show it to everyone because I look AMAZEBALLS! Knowing the professional photography business and how much work and cost is involved, I think their prices are very fair and reasonable. To all of the other reviewers that thought they weren't going to spend any more money than the group on, they didn't take the time to educate themselves. This is a first class studio with experienced photographers who are masters of boudoir. And that costs more than $70. As it should. read more

I decided to do a boudoir photo shoot as my wedding present to my (now) hubby and was lucky enough that a Groupon came along. The photos are pretty expensive and if I hadn't had the Groupon for the session, I wouldn't have been able to afford this experience. It's definitely something you need to sock some money away for. But it's well worth it! I was TERRIFIED. I took two friends with me...one did my hair and makeup and one was doing a photo shoot for her husband. She was terrified too. I am extremely self-conscious and was especially nervous about being practically naked in front of strangers, one of whom was a man in my age group. Well...after about 2 minutes of initial shock, I felt completely at ease with both Dan and Somer. They were really sweet and extremely professional. Somehow, they both managed to calm my nerves and bring out the sexy in me for the shoot. I don't know how they did it! The photos were AWESOME. It was hard to pick from the ~75 photos they took! And they are so good at what they do that I didn't think they needed all that much "photoshopping." There is one photo in particular that I absolutely love (enough to share with other people b/c I'm so proud of it). The entire process of choosing photos, editing them and ordering prints was really easy. Somer and Dan were really sweet each time I swung by the studio for something. I would highly recommend this to anyone, especially shy brides-to-be, because it's not only a great gift for someone special, but it's also a great gift to yourself. Oh Revolution Studios how do I love thee? Let me count the ways: 1) You made me feel oh so comfortable in my photo shoot that the sexy bi-atch in me really came out 2) The make up and hair that Somer did came out flawless in photo 3) Jenny step by step walked my husband I through the process of picking out photos 4) Our final product was amazing! I had a groupon for the Tiny Tease package. I came and was allowed to bring a friend who had done the process before. I came to the appointment Somer greeted me. She looked over my outfits, helped me to narrow it down. She did my make up and hair and was very friendly. She did an amazing job picking a setting, showing me how to pose and how to be comfortable. It took about an hour and a half with make up. It was great. I received the proofs the next day. When I went in for post photo consult with Jenny, she was so helpful with what products to choose and with narrowing down the pictures. I just received my final products and I couldn't be happier. The overall experience was fantastic. I would recommend Revolution to anyone. I felt sexy and confident. Like a real pin up girl. read more

A great surprise from my wife for our anniversary yesterday; I come home from work and there is our laptop sitting propped open with gorgeous pictures that had been taken of her. This was very outside of the norm for her, but she has had a couple of friends go to Revolution Studios and they have all been very happy with the outcome. She was also thrilled about the photos that had been taken and very pleased with the results... as am I! The total package was 5 different outfits and we got to go through a ton of classy, creative, and sexy photos of my wife. So many great pictures that it was tough to chose which ones we wanted to have in the album... too many pictures in this setting is a good thing! I have to thank Somer and Dan personally for making my wife feel comfortable putting this together for us; Jenny's idea's for the final album/product were great. Everyone was awesome to work with! I decided to do a boudoir shoot as a wedding gift for my soon to be husband and picked Revolution Studios after seeing the gorgeous portfolio on their website. On the day of the shoot, Somer immediately put me at ease when I arrived and we chose my outfits and accessories. She did an unbelievable job with my hair and makeup and everything looked amazing in the pics. I was so nervous all morning, but once Dan started taking the first few shots, I immediately relaxed and started just having fun. The post print consultation with Jenny went just as well as the shoot itself. She worked with me to pick the best package and was extremely helpful when it came to going through my pics and deciding what/where to retouch. The unretouched photos came out so well that I cannot imagine how fantastic the finished product is going to look! I am already working on getting my fiance to agree to come back here for a post-wedding couples shoot and perhaps a trash the dress session too. I loved this shoot! I was extremely nervous to do my shoot in the beginning but quickly felt at ease once I spoke with Dan and Somer. They instructed me on posing so I felt confident in what I was doing. I loved their feedback and positive attitude. It was so fun and light hearted. The shoot flew by and before I knew it, it was over. They said the shoots are addicting and boy are they right! I am already planning my next one. When I saw my photos I wanted to die!!!!!! They were absolutely amazing and made me feel so gorgeous and brought on a whole new confidence within myself. This is a gift for my husband and I cannot wait to see him open it. I would say that I am thoroughly pleased with the team here, but those words do not suffice. I took photographs here yesterday and endured one of the best customer services experiences - at any establishment - that I have had to date. Dan the photographer and co-owner is an awesome, dedicated and passionate photographer who stopped at nothing to deliver fabulous pictures. His wife/co-owner (who I think is named Somer) was so welcoming and warm. She went out of her way to ensure that my photo viewings worked well with my hectic schedule. Jenny, who I met with to view my photos, was just as awesome as the others. She assisted me by offering advice for my photo selection and helping me figure out a way to purchase a package that contained everything that I wanted and affordable. Though I did not use the other services, I am confident that the staff in those areas are just as wonderful. I DEFINITELY recommend this studio for any and everyone!!! read more

Revolution Studios provided outstanding customer service. From the moment, Dan returned my call to schedule the photo shoot he carefully explained the process and what would be helpful to bring to the session. When I arrived, his wife Somer helped with the selection of outfits to photograph. Somer also did my hair and makeup that was flawless. Dan was very professional and created a relaxed atmosphere for the photo shoot. I was able to view my pictures the very next day with Jenny. She was helpful with narrowing down the pictures to put in the album. It took approximately a week to receive the proofs to overview the final look before it was sent off to process. It also took a week to receive the album. Anna was very helpful with the proofing of the album and setting up how the photos would look. Overall an enjoyable experience. As a form of introduction, I turn bright red at the mention of anything hibidy-jibidy related. The mere thought of walking around in lingerie in front of strangers made my face crimson. I went in as a nervous nelly, not knowing what to expect, but am so glad I did it. They helped me pick which outfit and accessories were the best for me/most photogenic, helped me pick which set would compliment me/the outfit the best, and I had my make-up/hair done too. I've never felt so beautiful and they made me so at ease. The photo shoot: I felt like I was at an Agent Provocateur shoot, it was amazing!!! I found a Groupon for the Summer Sizzle package and thought it would be a great surprise for the hubby's birthday (as an aside: if you know the hubby...PLEASE DON'T TELL HIM!!). The team at Revolution Studios is amazing. If you expect to have beautiful photo's taken in a comfortable environment then this is the place to come. I had my hair and make up styled by Somer and she did a great job. Dan was very professional when taking my photos and puts you at ease during the whole process. They welcome your thoughts or ideas for your shoot which other studios in the area do not. You promptly receive a link to view your photo's in which you can speed up the process of picking the ones you would like to get. Revolution Studios is a fantastic place to go for boudoir photography. Dan and Somer make you feel so comfortable and your pictures WILL turn out fabulous. This was my first time (and not my last) doing any kind of photography and it was a phenomenal experience. They help you pick out outfits and direct you into poses that will look great for your body type and for the shot. Picking out pictures to order is a painless process where one of the staff sits down with you and goes through each shot individually to make sure your order reflects the best of you. A friend recommended Revolution to me. I was a little apprehensive about going, but so glad that I did. Somer did my make-up and hair and she and Dan took the photographs. My experience at Revolution Studios was amazing!! I got a variety of shots including boudoir shots and head shots. I am a fitness instructor and needed fitness shots for websites and my blog. The fitness shots turned out great. I love the lighting and effects that were used. I felt very comfortable getting the boudoir pictures taken. By the end of the shoot I felt right at home in front of the camera and want to get more taken. The quality of the pictures as well as the staff is way above and beyond the competition. I'm very self conscious about myself so when the Groupon presented itself I thought it would be a great step towards reinventing myself. I bought one of the Groupons on a whim b/c I heard such great reviews. They did not disappoint. From the moment I walked in I felt completely comfortable. They gave advice on my outfit selection and told me how to pose to get the best out of each shot. They took my suggestions and really ran with them to make sure I was happy with each look.
