None of these photographers had any impressive credentials, and most didn't even have their own studio. Neil was super prompt to answer my messages I wrote to him through the company Facebook page. I had tons of ridiculous questions he was happy to answer. I was truly the client from hell, and even arrived late to my appointment, and Neil was still super friendly, calm and accommodating. My little son is 9 months old and very weary of strangers and their homes, but Neil had him engaged and laughing. We have wonderful pictures. Even my husband admitted it was a great idea to have a portrait session and he loved the results. We had our session the night before thanksgiving, and the prints were ready the following Monday. Had it not been for the Holiday they probably would have been ready even sooner believe it or not. Neil even offered to hand deliver to CD to us! You will get the most bang for your buck with Neil. He is just as, if not more professional than anyone I've had a consultation with.

WMP exact words were: "Based on your feedback, I have made some changes to the process if we do a free engagement session drawing again. One of which will be to meet a couple at the studio before the session and ensure there is no confusion before the shoot. This along with some other changes are setup now." With that being said I feel that future clients should be in good hands as long as they have a full understanding of what they are getting into 'before' they shoot.

I was so excited because we haven't selected our photographer for the wedding and I thought this may be perfect timing as his pictures are gorgeous! Well, I sent in my information as the email requested me to and it said they would get back with me ASAP. I didn't hear back from him within a couple days, so I decided to call back and send another email, you know, just in case. No answer! I called again at the beginning of the next week, and no reply, so today ( a week later)I decided to leave a Facebook review to ask if there were other avenues to contact him. He immediately, I mean within 30 seconds called me back and asked me to take the review down! Seriously?? You couldn't call me back for pictures, but you can call me about a Facebook post?? During the conversation, he told me he was ill, and has been out, to which I gave my apologies but not without letting him know that it's good customer service to leave a message for clients letting them know. His response?? That I wasn't a client and merely just inquiring about an engagement shoot?? I have a $5k budget for a photographer, and was looking for one- I could have easily been a client of his- but his attitude quickly made my decision for me! Despite the challenges of the pandemic (and in part because of that), she and her wonderful assistant Alan Clark gave us far more attention and instruction than we could have expected through a series of detailed Zoom meetings. As one who was struggling with the technology of a new camera plus LightRoom and PhotoShop, I emerged with much more confidence. Then the trip to Sylvan Heights Bird Park in Scotland Neck, N.C., was the icing on the cake. This reserve, set up mainly to educate the public and protect endangered species, is a perfect place for practicing photography among thousands of beautiful birds, in settings that feel like natural ones. Even the birds seem happy there!
