Devin not only clearly explained the proper procedures, demonstrated them and reviewed my technique but he expanded the detail using real world, potential, scenarios. While the class time was expedient I never felt like we were rushing through the material. Devin listened to my questions, and even a couple of stories, and responded thoroughly with emphasis on the value of this important skill training. I would recommend Academy of CPR to anyone who wants real understanding and not just a certificate. I was there at 4:30am the very FIRST parent to get a spot..... or so I thought. Now on June 10th I'm informed that my son is #6 on the waitlist. Mind you I only know this from randomly inquiring on when I would receive more information on school starting. The lady that answered advised I was misinformed and that it's a lottery program. Thats funny because when I reached out to Henry county they are the ones that advised me to try the daycare to get a secured spot when my son didn't receive a spot at my zoned elementary school. I even offered to switch my son's daycare to theirs to ensure he would have a PreK spot. I was told they didn't have any available 4 year old spots. She said their students moving up would receive a spot first and that they had 4 remaining spots which is why I camped outside with my then 5 month old twins trying to get my 4 year old a spot. Funny thing.. no one called to tell me I was on a waitlist after I completed all paperwork. So I called one of their other centers and asked how the GA pre K went and was advised it was NOT like the public school system lottery its first come first served and they had no spots. This is so unprofessional as it seems like my son was bumped to accommodate others they wanted to receive a spot. I was told the day I went that I had secured the first spot only to be told months later "oh you were misinformed ". Now that school starts in two months ALL the pre K spots are full. This infuriates me as I just wanted my son in a school environment instead of a daycare setting. It's clear the ones that wanted to receive spots got one..... so unprofessional. However, I take this as a sign that the professionalism would have been an issue later down the line. This says a lot to me. Very Very Very disappointed.

I stopped by the day before to…read moreinquire about enrollment, provided the ages and information for all of my children who would potentially be attending, and requested a tour. I was told they do not allow walk-in tours and that I would need to come back the very next day for a scheduled tour. Considering this daycare is a 45-minute drive from where I live, I rearranged my schedule and made the trip back the following day. I arrived about 10 minutes before my scheduled tour time, only to be greeted by front desk staff who were rude, arrogant, and acted as if I was bothering them from the moment I walked through the door. What made the experience even more frustrating was that they then informed me there were no available spots for one of my children -- despite us discussing my children and their ages the day before. This information should have been communicated before having me drive all the way back out there. It completely wasted my time and showed a major lack of professionalism and organization. As a parent, customer service and kindness matter, especially when trusting people with your children. Unfortunately, the staff made me feel unwelcome and disrespected rather than valued as a prospective parent looking for childcare. Based on this experience, I would not recommend this daycare.

Her mom and dad were so excited for this little girl to start school, to see all she'd learn, and to learn all she'd become. However, the hopes and dreams these parents had for their little girl would not come to pass. After a short time in kindergarten, the little girl started getting poor conduct grades for "not paying attention. The school set up the first conference and began to tell the parents how wrong their little girl was. The girl began coming home upset, stressed out, scared to go back, and claiming that her teacher hates her. The parents tried ADHD meds for the child. In 6 months, the little girl was on 4 different medicines. Upon taking the first dose, she was listless, glassy-eyed, and had sobbing episodes. She didn't enjoy the critters and the horses and the drawing. The smiles went away. And she did no better in school. This precious little girl is Emma, and she is mine. In December 2014, we started at ABC Montessori. Their love for children, interest in fostering the individuality of the children, and in the development of the child's brain are immediately evident. The passion they have for the Montessori method is inspiring. They have restored our daughter's motivation and joy for learning. Today, our daughter seeks answers. She explores. She is respectful. And she absolutely loves her school. There, she is a helper, a friend, a great student, loved and praised by her teachers, and extremely well-behaved. She sits down to her work daily and focuses on what needs to be done. She completes book reports and science fair projects. She knows things about culture and history. She reads "chapter books" and she has straight A's!! She laughs and plays and does not want to be picked up at the end of the day. I have my little girl back!! For all of this I am thankful for the Montessori method. But even more so, I am eternally grateful for the careful, thoughtful planning, attention, and intuition of the ABC Montessori staff, and for their concern and care for the whole child. My daughter WILL be successful. In fact, she already is!

So, call before you go or you could be wasting your time. I came in to register my daughter one night and the director wasn't there. No one else could help me register her. I waited absolutely too long. Mathnasium of Fayetteville needs to get their administrative functions fixed or they will lose people.

I called and set an appointment over a week and a half in advance. The man tells me that I was ok to attend the 7-10pm 2 day course and provided the location. He explained that it was at 383 Marietta street which was 3-4 min from my home. When I got there, they told me that the class would be in Union City. Almost 35 min from me! I had to take the course at that time as it was already planned out on my schedule. He told me it would take 15 min to get there and to follow him. I followed this man who was speeding down the highway and when I got there, he said we would have made it sooner if I didn't drive so slow... Umm hello??? I drove the speed limit of 65 and was not trying to get a ticket going to defensive driving school!! He was combative and told me that I had a choice to take the class or go home. The actual instructor was nice but it was extremely painful to sit there and listen to him read the whole manual. He literally...Read the pages and it was far from being an interactive course. And his voice was not pleasant to listen too. The video materials used had examples and statistics from 1998 and out of date procedures. On the second day of training, he arrived late while we were all there on time. I was even able to make it on time with the President being in ATL and causing havoc to the traffic. Once again, I had to come down there from the location that I initially signed up for. He arrived, with no apologies, opened up the office and began to start reading the book again after a video. While we were in class, the guy that initially had me drive out there came into the office and started playing music. Regardless of how low it was, it was distracting. After we finished over an hour early, they put on a movie to watch. The put on the un-edited version of "Friday", with all of the curse words and racial terms being used. I found that to be ironic being that the entire office and classroom is covered in religious verses. I felt uncomfortable hearing the "N" word and curses while we waited to be allowed to leave. And, when I asked for her to elaborate, she gave me a driver's manual instead and told me to review that. I'm still bewildered because, I paid money to be told to just read the manual that I studied in the first place to get my permit. I thought that was insane. The following week, I actually went to a competitor driving school and learned so much more in one lesson than the two lessons I paid A1. That disappointed me greatly cause I essentially wasted money with these people. I agree with a fellow commenter. I wish there were profiles for the drivers. I could've picked a better instructor. Don't let that 5 star rating on Google Reviews deceive you.
