I requested a physical workbook due to my eyesight and was told to be at the Duluth office to pick it up on Monday by 4:00 (they are not open on weekends) on the day of the class (1/12/26). I left work early and arrived by 4:00 only to find they were closed. I was told the office manager left early and I had to view the workbook electronically. That was just the first red flag. I realized early in the class that the instructor did not seem to like me by his responses to my answers to some of his questions. I was trying to show that I was present and participating, but he was condescending and he belittled/berated me if he disagreed with my responses. By the last day, he questioned in class if the children that I work with even like me (the classes are recorded). This was personally not a positive experience for me. I would not recommend. Finally, the communication appears to be primarily via text messages, and the beginning of the thread seems to be automated (at least over the weekend) since I asked questions that were never answered and the responses were generic. It asked if wanted to participate in another program, but when I asked what it was, I didn't receive an answer. If you text them with issues during the week, an actual person will respond, it just takes a while.

We are now trying to get his ADAP certificate so he can take his driving test. After calling to get a copy of the certificate, I'm told (by someone in the office who seemed bothered by my request) that he did not participate in that part of the class. She stated that the teens are given an option to participate. This can't be true. They let a teenager choose whether or not they want to participate in this part of the program!?!. The first driver Imani Hines deserves a negative 100 (and that's being genorous to say the least). She phoned the night before to confirm address and advise she would be about 20 minutes late (no problem). On the day of the lesson, she arrived an hour late and then stated she waited for him for over 20 minutes. She was actually parked in the neighbor's driveway for about 5 minutes. At the time we realized she was in the neighbor's driveway and came out for thte lesson, she was clearly agitated along with rude and disrespectfful. She stated she could not take him as a result of HIS tardiness despite us having waited for her for over an 1. She then preceded to cancel his lesson for the next day leaving us with no lesson for 4 hours. Upon contacting customer service (which is a joke) as they were equally disrespectful, rude and unwillingly to try to find a resolution or support the customer. As a result of not getting lessons and being unable to find a driver to reschedule the lessons, I kindly asked for a refund and was told refunds can only be issued within the first 48 hours. We were blessed with finding Sharon McBride who is patient, respectful and a joy to work with however, Ms. McBride was only able to complete one lesson with my son. On day two of his lessons they were unable to begin the lesson as a result of an emergency surgery that was needed by the driver. She has been a very pleasant and supportive person to work with, however as a result of her emergency surgey, she was unable to finish the remaining 4 hours. Furthermore, I have had zero success in scheduling appointments, (its now June 10, 2025 and there are no appointments for the rest of this month and July. At this point, I would like a refund and an apology for the inconvenience and very disrespectul behavior of the customer service representative as well as how unprofessional and rude the driver Imani Hines. If I could give a 0 for the review, I absolutely would. The service has been subpar at best and I ams still without lessons for my son. I deeply regret signing him up for lessons with A1driving. I said I want my money back so I can book a reliable company and was told they'd call me back. That hasn't happened. Do yourself a favor and find a different company.

He worked with her on areas she needed more experience and guidance in order to improve (highway driving & parallel parking, among other things) and she is coming out of this a much stronger, safer and more confident driver. He was communicative and clear with us and was friendly and put her at ease during the lessons.

Parents moved schedules around and now - 1 day before the course was to start, Nathans has canceled the course (due to alleged "low enrollment") and stated new weekend days that would be required. Nathans never asked who was attending and at least 10 families have indicated they had every intention of attending the course. Scheduling, and communication related to that, has been a disaster. There is no way possible that a business professional is running this company.
