Given the uniformly perfect scores and highly favorable reviews Loupe Digital received, we decided to try them. The photo is a panoramic one. We explained we wanted only that shape in true colors. James listened carefully and understood exactly our concerns about the panoramic shape and true color quality of the turquoise shades of sea, the sky and the sand. We chose the exact size for the true color prints from image sizes he displayed on his computer. We selected one that was just right. In consultation with James and Michael, we then chose the frameless acrylic frame in which the print would be sealed. We got the framed print back today. What we got far exceeded that: it looks and feels like we are back there. It's a fantastic panoramic true color print in a sealed floating frame. We expected very good. They are highly skilled professional who really care about their craft, and get everything right first time. It was a calm, friendly experience throughout. I was able to get some emergency food, clean clothes, socks, hygiene products as well as opportunity to work gigs to make money through Veterans Rebuilding Life (VRL) non-profit's huge list of supporters. The kids go into a groups of 2-3 and takes turn going to sectioned areas to play with the trained pups. I was afraid that my daughter with eczema would have a scratching fit from the dogs, but they were all well-groomed and no odor at all. All the toys I touched didn't feel grimy and old. I can tell they take good care of this facility. A big plus is it's air conditioned and plenty of seats for the adults! Lots of times at kids' parties, the parents have to find odd things to sit on or stand, which is not a problem here. If you are looking to throw a birthday party, this is your place!

I searched online, found this center, and scheduled a session in the interim. I got to spend time with the sweetest dog, who snuggled up and hung out with me for the duration of my time there. It was perfect for me. Vicki and the dog's owner listened to my situation and offered suggestions and information for proceeding with obtaining an ESA dog of my very own. A second dog and his owner came by too and I was able to see them practicing in the agility/obstacle course pen and play with him as well. I haven't felt so relaxed in a long time, it really made my day. What a wonderful place and caring people!

This place has a lot of clothes so come prepared to look through a lot, but they have a very good array of coats and jacket, denim pants, skirts, button down, shirts, sweaters, and then they have a smaller area with like furniture and home goods. HTBAF is a great opportunity to hear interesting stories, get to know warm, funny people, and share laughter and wine in a cozy, charming place. I returned to Open Source for cHURCH of Monika, a monthly artist's talk that happens on Sunday mornings. Then I discovered the Soapbox race in the summer! I had so much fun cheering for the different groups of kids. It was great seeing so many neighbors out on the block having fund together. Open Source has so much to offer: art installations, arts education for kids, storytelling, community dinners, and more. I think it should be called Open HEART. When you're there, you're welcomed in, you're treated like family. It's a wonderful addition to the community.

I've been to The Doe Fund Headquarters for visits. They are the nonprofit funding the Ready Willing and Able program. When I visited they provided me with lunch prepared by the men. Let me tell you these men know how to cook and bake! I was thrilled to see the men at my Harvest Home Farmers Market on Friday. They help raise funds for their organization by selling their baked goods. I'm looking forward to going earlier next week. The Spinach Feta Scones were sold out early!! Prices are very reasonable. Come check them out!! I highly recommend.

At first, I just saw a mural of a bunch of birds, but then you see it's a five-story-high…read moreSwallow-tailed Kite that is used to show twelve birds that, like the kite, are threatened by climate change. You would not know it but this is Minnie's Land, the farm, Broadway and 155th Street, that was home to Audubon from May 1842 until his death in January 1851 So it's a perfect spot for this mural. Audubon Society commissioned this mural and other bird murals in the area. Some cover storm gates on stops and some on building sidewalls but none stand out as this one does because it's on the corner of a busy intersection. But because it is uptown and visions of the farm that stood here are long gone the bird murals are mostly unnoticed by tourist and the like. The gas station that sits beneath the mural was more than a century and a half ago some flat part of their farm that had an orchard of more than forty fruit trees. it was on a lot that covered present-day 155th and 156th Streets, Broadway, and Amsterdam. I am not a history or art scholar but my daughter has a degree from SVA and once worked at MoMA so I get educated at home all the time about art and history. I hope if you are uptown and near buy to take a look at this fantastic mural.
