Pro tip: Don't keep yanking on the door and ringing the bell if it's not unlocked the first time you ring. Wait and press the doorbell again in a minute. They mask & sanitize after every client. I buzzed and handed over my prescription. The gentleman confirmed I had filled prescriptions there before and told me to wait in my car and they would wave me in when it was ready. The prescriptions were ready, they waved at me to come inside and pick up. The pharmacist confirmed I had an unusual dosage of one prescription and that they weren't able to give me more than one month of my asthma medications. They tried to give me three to save trips etc. and the Pharmacist went above and beyond trying to get me more, but my benefits/insurance refused more than one month at a time. This is the reason I come to this location - they think about making my life better and easier without me having to ask.

The atmosphere is friendly and bright, and they sell a bunch of the regular pharmacy stuff. They're also open later than other pharmacies I've been to in the past. I've been going to this pharmacy for a few months now and my life has been made easier for it. I absolutely recommend this pharmacy to everyone and anyone.

The closest to me would be the one on Whyte Ave and 109 Street. I avoid this one because I dislike getting in and out of that one's parkade. It can be quite difficult especially when traffic is busy or the bus stop right by its entrance is busy. It is also split into two floors. Back to this location though! I like that the parking is far more convenient. Although you have to be careful where you park. Part of the lot is paid parking so make sure you read the signage. There is some free street parking but that can be full when the area is busy since it is so close to Whyte Ave. I like the size and selection in this store. It is probably a small to mid-size version of a Shoppers store. It is open until midnight every night as well. They have a good selection for this size of store. With the merger with Loblaws they also are starting to have more and more PC products that you find at Superstores. I also like that they kept the funky retro neon sign from the old IGA that was at this location. It has always been a favourite sign of mine in Old Strathcona so kudos for keeping it.

The pharmacist mentioned there is a medical clinic in here too but unfortunately the doctor isn't accepting new patients. That would be amazing if I could have a family doctor so close to home. Hopefully they can recruit more family doctors in the future.

Wait time for meds isn't long and there are chairs to sit if you need to wait. This store has medical supplies and some decent selectable snacks at standard price. I find this pharmacy to be really good, fairly quick, & easy. They also do flu shots here as well but I have not tried getting my done here, so it's really your call if you decide to go here. Unfortunately no washrooms here, parking is fairly big and spacious but there are a couple of stores which may fill the parking space up. Recommended for a quick pharmacy drop by and pick up if you have a prescription.

John, the pharmacist, is a personable guy who knows his stuff. He planned ahead for the new vaccine release & ensured to secure plenty. When I booked the vaccine, I selected this pharmacy partly because I was able to get a next day appointment. Overall, my first impressions are fantastic. The focus is on people and prescriptions. There are some retail items that you'd expect to find in a pharmacy, but unlike everywhere else, retail is not the focus. I've found my new pharmacy.
