This was a great local farmers market! They are at the fairgrounds every Friday evening at 4 PM until October. We arrived right at 4 PM. They were still setting up but the organizer greeted and welcomed us right in. She gave us the rundown of the market. We strolled around and saw first that they have food trucks on site every week which is great! I always wind up at farmers markets absolutely starving. Right away we knew we were getting lemonade and corn dogs from the food trucks...and that's exactly what we did. (Mom got a healthy and refreshing açai bowl.) The Corn Dog Co. did something diabolical to their corn dogs and I can't stop craving them. They slather them in honey!!! Yes, you read that correctly. It was ingenious and frigging delicious. I won't be able to eat a corn dog any other way going forward. HAHAHA! The lemonade was homemade craft lemonade to order. I can't remember the names of two we tried but they were both perfect! They were served in these large cups with lids and at such a great price per. After our bellies were full and thirsts quenched we strolled through the booths. Everyone was so friendly and chatty. We got to hear about custom knives and pastured chickens. We stopped at Nicks 3-D printing booth where he had the cutest 3D printed knick-knacks and displays. I of course had to buy something right up my collecting alley. The booth next to Nicks was a woman who made homemade chemical free soaps and lotions which were great. She was also from San Diego county so we struck up a conversation with her too. There were custom aprons and multi-use fabric paper towels which I can't wait to try. There were craft candy apples and fudge. It's not a large farmers market but it is mighty! If you are in town make sure to check it out. We were on vacation from CA, had found a snippet about the market. We're no strangers to farmers markets, but this one is especially cool. This market is loaded with actual artisans presenting their own goods. Soaps made with tallow, aprons (which you can custom order), breads, pastries, honey - honey - honey, malasadas, fudge cups, iron designs, artists, hot dogs, several food trucks, ancient grains, veggies, Idaho potatoes! We got a lot, but I could have taken something from every vendor! This is the farmers market I want to visit. We left early on account of rain and we forgot our coats, but they were just getting started. Looked it was going to be a fun evening! read more

Finally made it to the Rexburg Farmer's Market. What a shiny little market. This is not your big city Farmer's Market, and I love it for that. Its on Friday from what, 4-8pm? A nice mix of homemade candy, fruits & veg, crafts, popcorn, roasted corn on a stick, handmade jewelry. Very homey, very country, very Rexburg-y. I loved it. read more

We have had a great time at the farmers market! At the end of the season we got a GIANT and I am talking the biggest one I have ever seen -zuccinni - for a dollar! My wife and I frequently visit the farmers market when it's up and running during the summer. It's a small gathering packed with lots of little goodies. My wife and I always get the fresh, enormous scones complete with powdered sugar and honey or raspberry butter. We also get the corn on the cob (Nacho Libre style with mayo, butter, lime and chili powder). It costs nothing to get in, and they usually provide some type of music to chill and relax to while eating your scones, corn, salsa, cheese, bratwurst or whatever else you decide to get. read more

Fun event to go to on a Friday afternoon but don't expect a lot of fresh produce until the fall. A majority of the vendors are selling baked goods. I would definitely recommend the Salsa Buena. It is the best salsa that I have had. read more

The produce at the market is at its best this prime time of the year. The market will wind down in the next few weeks so be sure to take advantage of it while its still here. Get there early if you want baked goods as the students at BYU-Idaho are back and they love that kind of stuff! read more
