Big mistake, a month later my cat knocks them off the coffee table and they snap (1mm thick connecting joints on the side snapped right off) Naturally I think Ollie Quinn is a premium brand, I go in expecting them to replace the frames. "Hey I expected more from designer frames can I get these replaced" - I'm then informed that Ollie Quinn isn't designer, as though that justifies a shitty product... The lady I'm working with calls over her manager and the two agree that "the wear and tear on the glasses is beyond what a warranty will cover" ... I then point out that any reasonable business would replace the 7$ plastic frames, if only to avoid the review I'm writing currently - This is where things go from bad customer service, to the weirdest store experience I've ever had.... They then accuse me of trying to extort them, and say: "We were JUST about to replace the frames for free, but because I said that, now they aren't going to" ... The two of them go into highlight that our whole interaction was captured on camera (BTW its the Calgary store, 17th Ave and 4th, 1:30-2:30 Jan 5 2025).... Kassim patiently worked with me the entire time and graciously tolerated my frustrations as it became clear that the frames I loved weren't going to work. He then helped me choose another pair and provided them as an exchange. Throughout, he remained calm, professional, and committed to finding a solution. They…read morerecommended what I thought at the time to be very expensive lenses, because they claimed, first time bifocal users had less issues adjusting to these more costly lenses. I was suspicious that I might be being up sold. After over a year there was scratch in one lense and the Eyeglass Factory replaced my lenses under their special extended warranty. They were absolutely terrific about this and I hadn't expected this level of service. I didn't even realize that the warranty was there. My prescription changed this year and I just ordered new glasses today and the newest optician to join their staff was absolutely terrific. She very carefully explained some of the newer features and options and I'm looking forward to see how blue filter sense filters will improve or protect my vision going forward. I'm pretty much careful with my money (maybe if I had more I could be more careless) but in this case selling me on the more expensive lenses was the right thing to do. I've visited the store twice in the past year with damage and/or adjustments required to both of my frames. Today, on my most recent visit, I had a badly twisted arm on my wire frames. Katherine quickly and efficiently assessed the damage, explained the risk in the bending required to fix the arm and with my consent, fixed the damaged arm - free of charge. All of my adjustments and repairs have been free of charge. I now think of Phila first when I'm in need of lenses or repair and in particular, Katherine, who consistently offers excellent customer service. Good quality lenses are expensive - no doubt. The value for me is in the thoughtful aftercare I receive from Phila: Local, knowledgeable, kind & consistent.

Been using them for many years myself, my husband several years before we met, he is the one that told me about this place nearly 20 years ago.
