The pool was empty, the restaurant was gone, the building was crumbling and it looked like there hadn't been a lawnmower go near the place in a decade.

Due to COVID and the regional fire in 2017, we had not been for several years. We were taken aback at how run down and unkempt the property had become, specifically the hotel building. Garbage containers were overflowing, and garbage strewn in the parking lot area by the RV hookups. Various items were being randomly and stored disorganized on site, in public areas and/or visible from public areas. The seating area off the reception area (a lounge of sorts), which leads to an outdoor seating area, also seemed to be used as a disorganized storage area. What used to be a beautiful display of planters throughout the property with flowering plants, now display weeds. When we checked in, we were given room 36. The room is a comfortable size, and has a beautiful view of the lakes, golf course and the surrounding area. Unfortunately, that was the only positive. We were able to get into the room without any issue. Leaving the room was something else all together. The door knob mechanism was malfunctioning, making it extremely difficult to open the door. I never was able to get the door to open, and fortunately my husband was able to get it to open, eventually. We did notify the front desk. They were going to mention it to the maintenance person, but didn't seem to be concerned. I was told the building was old, after all, and needs a lot of work. I, in response, pointed out that this was a fire hazard, and put both guests and first responders at risk. The next day I spoke to housekeeping, and the young lady tried, and couldn't get the door open either. She was going to report the issue to the maintenance person. It never was looked at, while we were at the hotel, certainly not when we were still staying in the room. Later that day I sent an email to the front desk, indicating that I was trapped in the room, I couldn't get out. My husband, who was taking a nap, woke up and managed to get the door open - with great effort. I went to the office, again, and they moved us to room 24. The good news - the door worked. The bad news?!?! The sliding door to the balcony was off the track and there was no screen door to keep horseflies, mosquitoes and no-see-ums out. Knowing we weren't going to see the "maintenance person", hubby and I managed to get it back on the track, with great difficulty. Oh, and the wood frame that supports the sliding door has significant wood rot. And then there was the bathroom in #24!! The room should have been condemned, just based on the bathroom alone. In my opinion, this property needs a complete and thorough inspection done by the necessary authorities, and be shut down until such time that the hotel building is brought up-to-code. Moving forward, we will no longer be staying at the 108 Golf Resort.

The restaurant was the first disappointment, all they had was a choice of about 6 entrees that ranged from $25 to $35 no appetizers or anything else on the menu that was shown on the website. The wedding was a disaster as the owner messed up a lot of the things promised to the bride and groom. The food for the wedding was terrible, it was Chinese food that tasted like it came from a box. This place needs new management as the current owner doesn't have a clue how to run a hotel.

Floors were warped and water damaged, fridge still had someone's food in it, couch was 40 years old and ripped. Just horribly dated....i don't think this place has been updated in 40 years. Unless you want to stay in a run down cabin....do not stay here.

The evening staff were kind of unattentive and talked to each other about personal topics while 'helping' us, and I was NOT impressed by them smoking right next to front entrance. (on several occasions) However the morning lady was very friendly and efficient, which somewhat made up for her coworkers.. Overall I wasn't wowed but I guess you get what you pay for!

The waitress / server was GREAT. She was attentive, brought a water bowl and to go container with chicken for our dog (which we ordered of course). We enjoyed sitting outside on the covered porch. We ordered from the menu and everything was great. I got the Cobb salad with extra meat on it. I'm trying to eat high protein, low carb, and the server was very helpful in modifying my salad to be more in line with what I was looking for. Everyone at my table enjoyed everything we had. My husband loved his club wrap. The server was back often to refill drinks etc... We will always stop by here for lunch when traveling this way, we loved that there was a quality restaurant in this small town!

Best value for your money…read more Let's get one thing clear, the Motel is older, and does not have air conditioning. Fans, yes. And for 99% of the time, it would not be important but for some it is. What it is, is great value. The rooms are large and nicely furnished. Beds are clean and comfortable. Coffee maker, TV, internet all included. Balcony's are deep and wide. There are some kitchenettes, we did not get one of those rooms. Great office staff. Cheerfully professional and helpful. Best tip I can give you? Call direct for the best rate! We will come back again.

The lady at the front, whom i assumed was the owner, was peeking in my room at 10am, one hour before check out. Granted she was watering flowers, but totally an invasion of privacy. On top of that she scolded me for wiping down the inside of my car with a motel towel, was completely rude, and continued giving me scowls and dirty looks until i left. A good experience made completely uncomfortable with just a few looks. Otherwise the place is clean, has a few rattles and other noises in the rooms, and is a comfortable space. I was pleasantly surprised to find a hotplate and dishes available in the room.
