His office is located in the suite #220. Waiting room has really nice view of the valley and lots of natural lights. Each of the staff are super friendly and nice! The check-in was super fast as well. Didn't have to wait more than 2 minutes after my appointment time and they called me in. Dr. Later is a very friendly fella. He took time to talk with me, and hear what I had to say. Gave some blood samples today and he said that his office will call me when the results are in and we will go from there. Even though it was my very first visit...so far so good! I really liked him. Hopefully I'll keep having positive experiences :P

I was referred to Dr Russell Smith by a friend who had similar female issues-- [ endometriosis / high risk ] so after she had her laroscopy she had told me how it went. She said her recovery was 2-3 days and she felt so much better and that her periods don't hurt like they used to. Once she said that I was in serious need to get help for myself. It was crippling my life! Dr Smiths bedside manner is great. He's very professional and knowledgeable. He goes through explaining things rather than acting like you should know what he's talking about when it's INSIDE us, haha. My quest for a good OBGYN in Utah has finally come to an end! I appreciate their effectiveness, but willingness to treat me as an individual. Dr Raj has always remembered me since the very beginning. He knew personal things about me and always brought them up. They are quick and efficient, but I have never felt like a number being pushed through the conveyor belt like I have at other doctors (like an OB when I was pregnant- that was sad!!) Dr Raj often jokes and makes me feel more comfortable during procedures or appointments. I feel like he is a friend. He knows what my insurance requires and how to get what I need while using my coverage. Since I've been going for years, I get interested in things they are doing or seeing during procedures so I sometimes ask questions. He is so great to answer things and let me know what is going on. I never feel uncomfortable, even when I'm getting shots in my tailbone and am rather....exposed. He is respectful and professional. Anna, the PA (I think) is awesome too! She is so caring and takes time to talk if you ask. Again, she does have a pattern of the way she asks questions, does the prescriptions, and leaves, but that's just because they see so many people in a day and if there are no other needs, then why not be fast? But I've had her administer trigger point injections or stay and talk during my medication refill appointment. I know she cares and wants what is best for me. She's been honest when I've asked about my future and where my treatment is going. I really appreciate her. Some of the nurses are also memorable and great. At least I think they are nurses. Or assistants of some type. I'm not sure titles. I would know their names if I heard them, but can't recall them all. One, I think Stephanie, loves Batman and has a lot of personality. She is fun and makes me feel comfortable. There is also an older woman who helps with procedures. I always feel a little better when I see her. It means the procedure is close and I'm in good hands. She's funny and very knowledgeable. She takes time to explain what she's seeing as she sets up they X-ray. She has experience as a patient and professional, so she understands what it feels like as well as what is going on. She often makes jokes and is so fun. Together these professionals make me feel welcome and well taken care of. I went to another pain clinic before this and I hated going. I waited forever. The doctors were cold. I was a number. It was terrible. I'm so glad I changed doctors and feel grateful to be a patient here.

I made it clear I would rather wait the extra week than come in without my labs, knowing they would be necessary for a productive visit. I called the morning of my appointment and was explicitly told they had received my most recent bloodwork. When I arrived, they did not have my labs. Despite this, the NP had already formed her opinions before reviewing anything. Was rude and arrogant, told me my brain fog was simply due to old age and didn't bother to ask about any other symptoms and that my testosterone level of 167 ng/dL -- which my lab flagged as clinically low, was not a concern. She recommended DHEA as an alternative to TRT with no discussion of my history or symptom pattern whatsoever. When I raised concerns, the NP accused me of trying to skirt protocols, protocols I had never objected to and was fully prepared to follow. I ultimately had to pull up my own lab results on my phone, screenshot them, and email them to the office myself during the appointment just to have my records present. I left without a meaningful evaluation or treatment plan despite planning a week ahead, confirming my records were received, and coming fully prepared with documented symptoms and specific health goals. I was dismissed, blamed for their administrative failure, and made to feel like a problem rather than a patient. I would strongly encourage anyone seeking men's health or hormone evaluation to find a provider who will actually review your records before drawing conclusions.
