I generally have lots of questions about injuries and procedures and expected recovery times, and for the most part everyone has been kind to help me understand what there was to expect. Today I saw Dr Eric Moore, oops lol. Let's just say he was not appreciative of my many questions. I felt he was a bit dismissive, rushed and perhaps rude. To be fair, some of my questions were questions he said he didn't want to answer, like how many of these procedures do you usually do, and what is your success rate. Looking at his profile, I can understand how he may have taken this as a challenge. I see how this may have come across as rude on my part, seeing that he is relatively young in the field.

She's great at explaining to me what's going on every step of the way. I fractured a shoulder and a wrist back in May and she has made this painful and complex process simple and comfortable. Why not 5 stars? The company that handles the X-rays in here is unethnical. They'll send you to collections over the drop of a hat. I had a bill for like $30 that I wasn't aware of....it was about 16 days old and I got a letter from collections about it. They have since apologized and corrected the issue but...Ih have many more X-ray's and CT's in my future, so I won't up the rating until I get through all of those without additional nasty-grams from collections.

He made my child feel like he wasn't believed, made me feel silly for utilizing a wheelchair to help my son get around when every GD inch of ground in this city is icy and rocky due to breakup. I will not go back to the Anchorage clinic. I think they farm for appointments to make money off those fortunate enough to be able to pay. Save time and money and go to OPA.

I don't have the competency to comment on his medical knowledge or skills, but the fact that he was in the rheumatology program at NIH speaks volumes. Moreover, I got better under his care (i.e., went into remission for the serious chronic illness I have). What I am more competent to rate him on is his communication skills with patients. He is excellent: he never made me feel as though we had to hurry; he always listened to my concerns and questions fully; and he made certain that I understood instructions completely by being very specific and repeating them if necessary. I also appreciated the fact that he told me the "road map" of my care, so that I could see the big picture rather than just being given bits of information in a vacuum. I would still be his patient if he had not moved out of the area when he completed his NIH fellowship.
