I went with the most expensive quote for my heat pump thinking quality pays. Answer No it does not it Costs and Plenty stopped working the day after a poor installation and it took three weeks to return to put it right after I nearly froze to death and it still struggles to heat my home. I very recently had a 30K (Lennox 3 head) unit installed. I understood that they would not have units on hand, but there was not a delay in having one brought in. Throughout the process Bernadette, the contact person, was very helpful and kept me updated on the status, The installers were prompt and professional. However not all was roses...the outside unit was a dud and they had to replace it...not their fault and quickly rectified. There also was a seamless provision of a bucket truck (for 3rd floor level install). Much care was taken to ensure that the exterior unit was levelled to ensure that there would be no vibration which might harm the unit long term. The internal units are very quiet. Payment using NS Power loan was quick and easy. They arranged for the promotional Lennox rebate for me. Between the NS Power and Lennox rebates, there was an $800.00 reduction...Ta I had checked out other providers/equipment which were less expensive, but chose this company and this equipment. Usually I would rate a company better however right from the start they made us sign a contract to purchase a heat pump before telling us that they did not have one they would have to order. A little disappointing when it's getting cold outside and you have no heat. The other issue was paying them. I never seen a company that was so difficult to pay the bill. They would only accept $2500 on a visa. I'm from out of province and they wanted to charge me 4% admin fee to process. You would think that when you purchase a 30k piece of equipment they would accept you payment instead of making you jump through hoops. read more
