Prior to visiting Rib on Stone my knowledge of Korean cuisine was limited to Bulgogi and Kim chi, however I am now blessed with a more substantial understanding of Korean food. Upon entering the premises I was impressed by the seating capacity of the restaurant and the large number of people dining at the restaurant, when compared to other restaurants in Belmore.
Given that my knowledge of Korean food is not great, I initially felt like a fish out of water. However, the staff are more than happy to assist the uninitiated in understanding what exactly the restaurant has to offer. In the end I opted for a Bibimbap, which consisted of rice and a mixture of vegetables, meat, and some kind of chili paste. In addition to my meal I also ordered a plate of sliced raw meat to cook myself on the Korean barbecue which is fixed to the centre of the table.
Given the uncertainty I held at first entering Rib on Stone, I am glad that I took a chance and tried out what they had to offer. The food was very good, the staff were helpful and polite, the complimentary barley tea was different in a pleasant way, and I will definitely make my way there again soon. read more
