We live in walking distance and can't enjoy the park because children dropped off, nobody watches them, some parents sit at tables and don't watch their kids. My kids were "shooed" away by bigger kids. Come on, this is a park for kids. Older kids should use the aparratas that is their size.

There are also fenced-in tennis courts for those that play that sport, and the courts have the added attraction of being lined out for pickleball games. I regret missing out on the last few years of lunch time walks here!! I will definitely come by more often. The hiking trail is off the far end of the parking lot. The lake is to the right as you pull into the lot. I saw ducks and bunnies and heard all sorts of other animals along the path in the woods. The path can be a little rugged in some parts, requiring you to step over tree roots, or duck under a fallen tree branch, but is mostly easy to navigate. There were only 3 people at this lot at noon on a Wednesday. Perhaps the crowds pick up on the weekend?

It does get packed if weather is nice. People like to use rocks to track their loop numbers. Signs say no dogs allowed on the stairs.

I go up the east side, down on the west. I think it's 125 stairs on the east, and 145 on the west. All ages and fitness levels are here! Lots of parking, clean. Dogs are not allowed on the stairs. There's a snack bar, restrooms, and a fairly large room for meetings, presentations, and activities. There are also several trails if you still have energy after the stairs!
