    Japanese Curry

I was intrigued and decided to give this place a try. I ordered the Japanese Curry. So disappointed. Chicken katsu on top was hard and dry. Curry tasted like packaged gravy. It's a big portion but I ate just a little and threw the rest away. But, the dessert was delicious. Loved the cheesecake and milk buns. The mango smoothie was good as well.

So I've been really curious about this place, and decided to give it a try today! This is based on food and drink only! I ordered the Cha-Chu Ramen and Lavender Passionfruit Tea. The Ramen was so disappointing, and underwhelming! Honestly, one of the worst I have ever had! They didn't even serve with a Ramen egg, but a hard boiled egg! The pork belly was OK, but you only got a few green onions and a couple of fish cakes. The broth was flavorless, so thank goodness they had shichimi spice to add some flavor. As far as my tea, I could not taste the lavender whatsoever. I skipped the Boba as the drink was already $7.50 and they wanted $.75 more for Boba? Yes, there were a few pieces of fresh fruit in the tea, but $8.25 to get a drink here with Boba, ridiculous! Everything is served in plastic, which I am not a fan of, and they don't even have soup style spoons for the Ramen! They have a few tables, and a few counter seats, but definitely not a nice place to sit down and enjoy your food! The store has a good selection of Japanese/ Korean candy and snacks. Lots of Hello Kitty, and anime merch, that I know my great nephew would love! They did have some unique items in the dessert case which I may stop in to try one day, but as far as their food and drinks, it's a pass! I was thanked when I left, and the gal was on top of cleaning tables, but really nothing special. With a $2 tip, my disappointing Ramen and tea came out to $27.02! Ridiculous!!! When my great nephew is in town, I'll might bring him in, as I think he would love the candy and merch, but until then, this is definitely a pass for me!

Was on the lookout for matcha, so found this place via a Yelp search. The decor of this place is so Japanese anime/cartoon eclectic and 100 percent kitschy awesome! The shelves - from floor to ceiling were covered in trinkets, sweet and savory Japanese snacks GALORE, ramen packets, drink boxes, paraphernalia, and more. Two big kiosk screens to order from, or, when it's not busy or you can't decide (me!), the front register is also an option. I went with a classic: Matcha Milk Tea with extra tapioca pearls. The bubble tea was decent, not sure if it's quite "the best" matcha I've had. I got it cold, and forgot to say "no ice", so I always feel that's a lot of the culprit when it comes to a watered down flavor. I did nab a few sweet treats to take share with the fam: A slice of their Crepe Cake and a homemade Hokkaido Milk Buns. The crepe cake melted from the sun's rays (yes, I even had the cold A/C on blast!), but was still delightfully enjoyable! The milk buns were also good. Not quite as light and airy bun as Tous Les Jour, but a very close second place. If I could pick up this store and move it back home to Ohio, boy oh boy would I be a loyal customer, wanting to try so many interesting snacks and ramen offers, haha!

I came in February and was super excited to try this place out it looked so cute from the pictures. Unfortunately the day we went the guy that was there that day informed us that due to an emergency he wasn't able to make us drinks or anything else since he was just filling in. I think he said he worked across the street at the ramen shop?? (But I'm not 100% sure) It was a little disappointing that we couldn't try any of the drinks we wanted but he was really nice & funny that kind of made up for it. He did make us a Thai & Taro milk tea since they're pretty basic drinks. I definitely want to come back when we're in town to try the stuff on their menu. I really appreciate it when people take the time to give you a really good customer service experience regardless of the circumstances. My 5 stars are solely based on the interaction alone.

The atmosphere is really amazing here. I got the chicken karage ramen and it's out of this world good. The broth has great flavor and the chicken has a bit of spice and wonderful texture. The boba tea is passionfruit with lychee boba. So good!

Came here to get a Smoko Snail light and thought they were sold out but I found one hiding! Hidden gem for sure. Their boba is SUPER soft and the drinks we got were really yummy!

This afternoon I went to visit this new boba shop that opened up a few months ago. I got a horchata boba & it was pretty good, very sweet. I liked the decor inside however it's a bit overwhelming as it's everywhere. The lady who serviced me was very kind. I think in the areas such as the food display they should leave it clear of decor because it's hard to focus on the food rather than the jewelry above it.

    Banana popsicle!

After making the drive up north from the Valley this afternoon, we were a hungry little family! Instead of stopping by one of the usual spots here in town, I checked Yelp and came across this fun and unique little Japanese joint. I can't lie, it took some convincing to get the wife on board, mostly because she's always concerned our picky toddler won't eat anything on the menu. But reminding her that our hearts belong to Tokyo and that if the food was even half as good as the pics in the reviews looked, we would be in very good shape! Plus, although noodles fall behind Dino nuggies in the eyes of our precious baby boy, he can throw down on them if he's in the right mood. Well Dad finally did something right, because this family of 3 was all smiles and slurps as we devoured our food, forcing ourselves to stop eating before joining the clean plate club, knowing the leftovers tomorrow will be equally as fantastic! The super sweet lady behind the counter was helpful and hospitable, and the vibes of this amazing place were immaculate. So much to look at and shop for while the mouthwatering food is prepared, and the options for sweet treats after your meal were endless and far from typical. My son and I indulged in Japanese banana popsicles and they did not disappoint! Yes, this place is small and easy to pass by without noticing, with its unassuming location, but GO HERE and try it. You'll be thrilled you did

Great food and service for a quaint spot. My grandson enjoyed as he recently moved to AZ from Tokyo. A few flavors from home.

We didn't leave though because we were hungry and committed. The waitress was very nice, seated us, took our order, etc and our food came out pretty quickly but... It just wasn't very good at all. My husband said his Green Curry was... OK. And his rolls were a 4/10. My kid got chicken nuggets and fries and didn't hate them. But wasn't overly excited for them either. I got the salmon sashimi and the yellowtail collar... The salmon sashimi tasted like the restaurant bought salmon that was about to go back in 3-4 days from Sprouts or Safeway, skinned it, sliced it into hunks and served it. It was fishy for sure. The yellowtail collar was - bland and boring. Sure I asked for no sauce but I order these collars all the time and sauce isn't needed. About 2 hours after eating, I got bad stomach pains too. They went away and I was fine (not food poisoning) but it just left a "bad taste in the mouth". The worst part is, this lunch was $120... And it did not taste like $120 quality. Womp womp.
