It was relatively obvious that they serve English-speaking consumers because they had menus in English. My friend and I had a good time here tasting wine and catching up. Majority of the dishes were pretty good but not extremely spectacular, ranging from the beef bourguignon to the soy-glazed chicken to the eggs with mashed potatoes, they all had varying degrees of seasoning and the salt wasn't too overpowering. Some of the dishes leaned towards more on the plain side in terms of flavor. The arancini tomatoes didn't have too much fresh flavor in my opinion, and that was my least favorite dish in comparison. Overall, one would have a good time if visiting Dijon, and I would recommend this establishment. It's worth noting that they had good service, which sometimes can be a hit or miss in France in general due to them not having a tipping culture.

Great spot for nice wines--huge selection--and terrific food. Tapas-sized plates make it possible…read moreto try multiple dishes. The 'menu' is a great bargain, with two choices: a vin blanc and a vin rouge. Ironically, wine is not included, but the names correspond to the wine variety that would typically be enjoyed with the menu (basically one is seafood-centric; the other is meat-centric). My husband and I shared a vin blanc menu and three individually-chosen selections. All delicious. Especially enjoyed the escargot (à la carte). For dessert, shared the chocolate fondant with ice cream that came with the 'menu'. Service was good--we felt lucky to get a table on a Friday night with no reservations--but both service and ambiance were disrupted by a massively loud group that was dining two tables away from us. Really loud...even sang (shouted) a singsong chant, complete with synchronous clapping. Twice. The first time, people thought it was amusing, and some even clapped; the second time, no one was amused. Anyway, despite that, we enjoyed our dinner in the garden patio in back, which was quite pretty.

Of course things weren't fancy or sublime or perfect in the guidebook-way of rating. But the whole experience added up to an extremely memorable afternoon spent in this lovely establishment. I'm a huge wino, and the uptight regulations in the US have made me giddy for wine shops where you can buy a bottle and drink it right there with some snacks, or in this case, some delicious food. When I was there it was very quiet and relaxed, I might have been the only guest dining at the time. I splurged on some stupendous white Burgundies, and had some delicious baguette with a warm goat cheese salad (actually three or four different kinds of goat cheese, toasted on bread), and some roasted chicken in a mushroom sauce, chicken that was moist, tender, and delicious, not overcooked in the slightest. I would recommend this small and unassuming place to any friend visiting Dijon. I'll be back!

Our tour guide recommended this as one of the places where we could get traditional Burgundian cuisine- we got to try foods we had never had before, which is always fun. Our waiter spoke very good English, which helped us out a lot, and he was always able to explain things on the menu that we didn't understand. At this place, they CAN get you wine by the glass, but it's more typical to select a full bottle yourself for your table. Very cool setting, excellent food, and great service! Check it out.
