Service was warm and attentive as well. The food matched the ambiance. Their approach seems to lean toward a creative Japanese-Korean fusion, and everything we tried was delicious. I ordered the Salmon Lover Combo, and it was a lot of sushi--in the best way. The fish was fresh, and the addition of sprouts on top was a fun, unexpected touch. The salmon pizza was another standout: generous in portion and full of flavour--crispy, saucy, and fresh. My partner's ramen was hearty and comforting, and the cheese wontons we shared were excellent. We especially enjoyed the thinly sliced chillies on top, which added a playful kick. Our second visit, however, was more of a 3/5 experience. I ordered the katsu, and while the flavour was good, the chef placed the salad directly on top of the cutlet, which made it turn watery by the end. My reservation is usually that the veggie becomes too oily, but this time it seemed okay. The stir-fried beef with button mushrooms was top notch; the beef was tender, and the button mushrooms provided textural contrast to the beef. The beef tendon was also really soft, in a really nice way. The shrimp with egg rice noodle is always a classic, egg gently used as a sauce and the noodle with an appropriate bite to it. The place closes down (i.e. the patrons have to leave by 9p) at 9p, which makes for a bit of a rushed dinner, so beware.

Yet the food is authentic and spicy. Portion size was definitely enough. Both dishes hit the spot. We got a non spicy chicken dish with vege that my kid gobbled up.
