While no juries are empanelled, the judge has broad experience in all the issues that can be resolved within its jurisdiction. Even the most serious criminal offenses begin with a preliminary hearing in front of this judge, before being sent to the Court of Common Pleas in Doylestown. The clerks here are friendly and efficient processing the considerable paperwork. Cases are set for trial quickly, usually within the first 30 days of filing. The aphorism, "Justice delayed in justice denied," is seldom invoked here. Cases move to conclusion, or are transfered to a high court without time wasted. While appeals are by right in almost all matters, amazingly few litigants are dissatisfied enough to take their problems to the next level where time and expense can become very relevant. The garden is beautiful, the house well kept and the guide even gave us a full tour before the wedding started. I love history and to be able to tour a home of a wealthy colonial really put a lot of things in perspective for that time. The house itself is gorgeous, some work has been done but for the most part it's almost all the same as in the 1700s. Just a great piece of history that I'm glad the city of Philly held onto!!!

Centrally located from major towns as East brunswick, freehold, Princeton, East Windsor and heightstown everything takes 20 min. To get too. They're no major malls just basically the average NJ strip malls, everywhere. Not many nice restaurants. It is inundated with pizza places,Chinese restaurants and several fast food chains which are usually on main highways. It does boast a pretty awesome library and a huge senior center and plenty of medical and Dr offices. It is quite a scenic area and quite large. It's nice to see certain areas untouched by progress. Altho developments are popping up to make room for more people. Definitely a nice place to live.

If you are a plaintiff seeking justice for a wrong done to you, you will likely find a fair level of compensation for pain and suffering or breach of contract, and feel some satisfaction with your experience in the building. However, as a defendant it is more likely you will dread what this institution has done to you. All matters of social interactions that go sideways can find themselves being evaluated and judged here, although those that cross the criminal line will be heard and disposed of at the criminal courthouse a few blocks away. The four story hall of justice was originally designed for both civil and criminal cases and although less than 20 years old, legal conflicts have risen so fast that not only a second new building was needed just for the bad boys, and a third (the currently being renovated old courthouse annex) for the county prosecutor staff. The taxpayers can't be happy about that. There aren't enough judges to hear the cases that don't settle, so the wait for your day in court is often years after the events that began the long course to an uncertain outcome. It is frustrating and unpleasant, yet it is the system chosen to resolve conflicts with confrontations minimized. Oh, and the elevators are as slow as the slog to justice.

Security guards at entrance with metal detectors and asked them what floor for guardianship and they had no idea. Went to 4 th floor for civil cases as told by a friend and the officers there had no idea either but we found it in my paperwork application and on yelp on my phone. Thank goodness at least they were nice about everything. I forgot two signatures and raced back a second time before closing time with doors locked upstairs and the lady at the guardianship office let me in. Thank goodness! Hope our application gets approved soon.

I saw "These Truths: The Declarations of Independence" which had documents and paintings from the signing of the Declaration of Independence. They had some cool items on display, so it was worth the time to check it out. If you're already seeing something in the historic area, make this a stop on your route.

The marker is in good condition and reads, "Three famous actors, Philadelphia-born, were the third generation of this "Royal Family of the American Stage." Lionel (1878-1954), Ethel (1879-1959), and John (1882-1942) performed on stage, screen, radio. Their grandparents, the Drews, managed the Arch St. Theatre here." And yes, the John Barrymore mentioned is grandfather of current movie star Drew Barrymore (E.T.: The Extra-Terrestrial, Charlie's Angels, Scream, The Wedding Singer).
