I am new to Richmond Irrigation due to moving to a neighborhood that the HOA uses the company. First initial interaction went very well. Then there was a bit of a hick-up, but I have to say that Erich, their Service Manager, made it right. The way that their company wanted to make sure it was right made me a fan. Richmond Irrigation makes their profits through two dishonest methods one the $75 job evaluation fee and two, large unnecessary upscale repairs for simple issues. They'll spring one or two dishonest methods on you that kind of run the same path. They already have you for $75 so they enlarge the complexity of the job in the hopes that you're naïve enough to take it, but if you're smart enough to decline it, they still got your $75. The amount of up charging with this company is insane. Simple fixes become these exorbitant outrageously large jobs. They claim to be honest, but it's clearly dishonest business practices. They do not have your best interest in mind. Is 100% better to find a smaller company that's willing to do a good job without trying to drain your bank account. read more

BUYER BEWARE! I would absolutely not recommend Richmond Irrigation. If you do decide to do business with them, please be sure to ask every single question that you can possibly think of. They did fix my problem by diverting water from my home, but caused a whole new problem which resulted in a retaining wall failing. I was presented with two solutions but at no time was I told that choosing the less expensive one would result in my wall failing to the tune of $10,000! I am not a structural engineer and was relying on the expertise of Richmond Irrigation. My wall failed 2 years after they did the work which diverted the water from my home and against my retaining wall. They have many reasons why it isn't their fault, but in the end I felt mislead and cheated. BUYER BEWARE! read more

Did winterization services with them and did not pressurized properly which broke the sprinklers the rep informed me that we will fix it they came out fixed it and billed me for the fix no price was quoted neither I was informed that this fix will cost me more then my service which I have paid I keep calling them for a month to discuss but no positive response so I decided to pay it and close this chapter. If anything goes wrong during service the company is responsible not client and before doing any fixes the client consent and price to fix must be discussed. read more

I requested service and they made scheduling easy. They kept me updated about when they were en route and they were friendly folks. I do wish they had less expensive sprinkler controllers, but that's life. They do let you know ahead of time what the charges will be. read more

Last fall, we chose Richmond Irrigation to install an irrigation system at our residence. I had received several quotes and Richmond Irrigation was competitively priced. I loved that I was able to make monthly payments which made it financially feasible for us. They were extremely professional and responsive. I also signed up for their annual maintenance agreement. We had cobblestone installed this week and needed several spray heads moved back from our driveway. They were able to take care of immediately for a very fair price. I'm extremely pleased with this company, from start to finish. I recently had a full irrigation system installed across 8 zones, front and back. Their initial estimate was professional, organized, and very reasonable. They answered a pile of questions I had without hesitation over the following weeks before I made my decision to go with them. I talked to a few other companies and none compared in terms of professionalism and helpfulness. They finished the work quickly and with no interruption to daily life. Punctual, reliable, and very organized. Their trucks and equipment are new and kept very clean and the crew was extremely professional. The system looks great - now I can get this lawn healthy! They even did a lighting demo one evening when I asked about options - that'll be my next project with them! You won't find a better value for reasonable cost and high level of quality. read more

Very pleased with Richmond Irrigation. We moved here from the south faced with a . 12 zone system that had not been used in a several years. They came out and got us up and running, educated us on our system, what winterizing the system was and then they fixed everything. We also had them come back and install a lighting system. They were timely, reasonably priced and very professional. I highly recommend them for both irrigation issues and outdoor lighting. read more

Just moved to the area and also new to irrigation systems. Previous owner had this company so I thought I would give them a try. I set up an appointment with them for this morning and they did not show up. I called after waiting ten minutes and they did not have me down for an appointment but did remember talking to me and had my information in their computer. Since I took the morning off of work to be there I am going to call around and see if I can receive a better experience instead of trying them again. The person I spoke to was apologetic and nice so I will give them two starts instead of one. read more

The technician that came out to do the estimate seemed very knowledgeable about what he was doing. The crew that came and did the install was phenomenal! When they left, it was like they weren't even there at all, no mess. Any time I have had a question about the irrigation system, they sent out a technician the same day or the next morning. The young lady I spoke with on the phone was a delight. I don't see myself going anywhere else. read more
