I brought in a pair of Aquazzura heels to have the heel tips replaced, and the owner put tips in with too big of a screw, and broke both of the heels. I saw a weird looking gap and the leather looked messy when I picked them up - he claimed "the designer didn't have enough leather to cover the whole heel". Right. When I looked under the leather he'd messily glued back, the heels were split open. He's now claiming the "leather shrunk from being worn", which is not a thing that happens. I took them to another shoe guy and he confirmed the heels have big cracks and said it was a terrible job.

When I went to pick up the shoes the job was only half done, only one of the shoes having been reinforced as intended. I questioned the gentleman and he told me that this is what we had agreed to originally. This was completely untrue. If you decide to get your shoes repaired here be sure to get everything in writing or record your conversation with the clerk so you have some proof when the result is not as expected. That he tried to imply I was in the wrong made me very unhappy. Be careful.

Also Romika brand. Very lined and again, instant love. I ended up purchasing both pairs. The owner worked with me. and gave me the best deal he could. I was very satisfied. I wore the fall boots, most of the fall. Both pair were already water proofed and good to go. I am now wearing the winter pair. They have to be the most comfortable boots I have ever worn. Later I met the owner, Bashar, and he gave me his full attention even though it was extremely busy at the time. Top notch service and they also had great shoes. The worst ever! Had my 25 year old cowboy boots in for new heels and toe tips. They ended up…read moreputting rubber soles over my leather soles, so then had double stitches, the toe tips were not flush with the boot and the nails kept sliding up, so toe tips fell off, went back to ask them to fix their mistakes, and the old man started yelling and swearing at myself and my sister. He even laid hands on my sister as he told her to get the f---k out of his store. He said their work was perfect, then told me they DO NOT honor their work or stand behind their product!!! Security came in because they heard him yelling at me. In the end he refused to check his records, refused to acknowledge that he even repaired my boots, gave us the finger and told us to get out! We asked how he could treat paying customers this way, he replied that he did not care about his customers!!! I have never been treated so poorly! I've walked down Stephen Ave many times and never noticed this place. And then I needed a cobbler…read moreto fix a strap on my leather handbag and Yelp showed me this place as the closest to my work. I walked in the front door and down the stairs and was immediately greeted by an older gentleman, who I suspect is probably the owner. I showed him the broken strap and he assured me that they could fix it, and that it would take about 2 days. He told me $30 to which I balked at (the bag was from Value Village originally...) and he dropped it to $20. Great. You do need to pre-pay here and they give you a pickup slip. I was then sick for the next few days and he called me twice to make sure I knew when they were closing for the holidays so that i could pick it up beforehand. When I came back the bag was ready and I couldn't tell which one had been broken before. In short: super convenient location for repairs, but not necessarily the cheapest.

He pays such close attention to detail and does such good quality work! I also had a backpack repaired here and it looks as good as new! You really feel at home walking into this shop, as both owners are very kind and friendly! I highly recommend!
