I've had Rick Meyer for a few years now & have been very happy- I would definitely recommend him. Their rates & coverages are great, he is easy to get ahold of & wonderful communication as well, which is rare these days! To be honest, rates & etiquette doesn't matter as much as "how does my insurance work when I need it?" Especially in a stressful home altering kind of way- that's the #1 question you need to look for when purchasing insurance. Unfortunately the only way to know this is if/when something happens, but it's also why I reccomend him. I just made a claim this year & have so far had a great experience! (Yet to see how it effects my rate; I'll update my review.. This spring I had a water damage claim which unfortunately caused a considerable amount of damage but thanks to Rick it wasn't very stressful! From day one he was willing to talk to & work with the contractor of my choosing (one my HOA uses frequently/shared with me). He outlined the process, gave me realistic expectations, & is always available for questions. I love how he follows up after most calls with a text recap & oh my goodness goes above & beyond on follow up!! If I couldn't get in contact with the adjuster, once I let him know I'd hear back right away (he's a good secret weapon lol). He doesn't hesitate to contact anyone needed in order to get every piece needed for the case to be approved as quickly as possible. I've been a homeowner for over 20 years & in that time this is only my 2nd ever claim but he is ABOVE & BEYOND the other in every way!! As stated, I've been a homeowner over 20 years. My past insurance company I had over 15 years for home & auto & always reccomended them, they were nice to work with but after 15 years I made my first claim & they were absolutely awful! You never truly know until you have an event. Not one single thing about that claim was easy & my stress level was through the roof. It's ultimately what caused me to look around & my uncle reccomended State Farm & I luckily found Rick. I didn't feel comfortable leaving a review until after I fully knew I could reccomend, given my past company but hands down thankful for his help in my claim. It's all on the material orders to arrive & contractors work now but not as much stress as it looks like it should have caused (cabinets & counters torn out, floor & subfloor needing replaced, etc).
