She surrounds herself with a team that has strengths different from her own and from each other. The quality of their products is top-tier. Laura has invested a lot into finding ethical, high-quality products and vendors. Planted's pricing is fair, and they value plant care above all else. Matching plants to people's needs and abilities was more important than a sale ever was. I only left Planted to pursue graduate school. Second, Brad measured and made every attempt to accommodate the rather tight schedule I had. I'm realistic enough to know I was asking for a lot in a short amount of time and there may not be people available just because I needed something done. Product that was ordered was available in the store within days. Brad was also good at keeping me posted regarding the status of both the product and the installers. She chatted with me as I walked through the store (jamming to the Earth, Wind, and Fire she had playing; man they just make me want to move). There's an eclectic mix of goodies here. Lots of wind chimes, wall art, glass artwork, jewelry. I was able to avoid picking up additional rings, and got a few chains for some a few pendants that I have but haven't been able to wear since I don't have a necklace for them. I also appreciated that she helped me think about how I could find similar stores, giving me a couple of keywords to use when looking, since I often struggle to find the type of sterling and gemstone jewelry I like.
