My gas indicator pinged en route to Wisconsin Dells and I quickly yelped "Gas stations near me". Don't even know what town this was off the expressway, but so glad I stopped! Just in time to fill up with gas at a good price and load up on caffeine for the long drive. Plenty of clean and available bathrooms, and there is both a Pepsi brand AND a Coke brand fountain drink machine with really good ice. Cindy at check-out was so friendly! She greeted me when I arrived and later commented on our shared enthusiasm for beaded bracelets at check out. I gifted her one of my blue Infinite Warrior beaded bracelets as she and I both said the blue bracelet represents one of our children and she'd recently lost her blue bracelet which honors her son. They scratched my friend's car in the car wash, and they are not showing the video of the issue happening

Absolutely zero stars If I could. I usually wash my car by hand, but due to the cold and heavy salt buildup, I decided to use this car wash one time on February 3rd. After the wash, I noticed damage to my vehicle. I went back and tried to file a report, but the staff was disrespectful and corporate told me they weren't liable. While I was reporting the issue, employees were laughing and making jokes, which was extremely unprofessional. I escalated the issue to corporate, but they said they couldn't help. I then filed a police report, and after an investigation, the police determined the business was liable for the damage. They have very awful camera on purpose to hide how damaging their wash is. Despite this, corporate continued to ignore the situation. I was told multiple times I would receive a follow-up call, but no one ever reached out. When I followed up myself, I was again told nothing could be done even though the police report said they'd call are at fault. I took my car to a body shop, and the repair estimate came out to $14,800 on a my new car with only 4,300 miles. Since then, I've been stuck dealing with insurance, which has been a major headache and it has been 2 months and I still have not got any repairs done. I will never return and have warned friends and family to avoid this place. Save yourself the stress--do not spend your money here. read more

On October 17, 2024 I attempted to get my car washed. After purchasing the wash, I was surprised there was no attendant guiding customers into the wash. I pulled into the wash and very quickly realized that I had not put my car into Neutral. That's on me, but it was a car fairly new to me. Once I realized my mistake, I quickly put the car into Neutral, but by that time, the water was not spraying the car. As I tried to figure out what to do, one of the brushes came crashing down on my passenger side mirror. Once I was out of the wash, I parked and discovered that the mirror housing was partly off of the mirror, the bottom of the housing was cracked, and the entire mirror was facing the wrong direction. I went into the store to report the incident and filled out a form, including my cell phone number. None of the employees bothered to go out and even look at the damage. An employee gave me a code I could use to wash my car since it was still not clean, and said someone would call me by the following day. With the damage to the mirror, I didn't want to go through the wash again. No one had called after a few days so I called them, explained the situation again, and again was told someone would call me. Over a month has gone by and they still have not contacted me. The mirror housing is cracked on the bottom and aside from the damage to the housing, I am concerned about moisture getting into the mirror electronics. Since the employees at that location have been unresponsive, I have tried to find a way to contact the corporate office directly. That has been unsuccessful so I'm resorting to writing this review. Based on the damage to my car and the absolutely atrocious customer service, I would strongly recommend that you stay far away from this place. We needed gas badly and found this not too far off the highway. Don't let the name fool you it's a Mobile brand gas station. Since we linked our "Plenty" card we wanted to go to a Mobile brand gas station and this place came up when we searched for one. The location had easy access in and out of the gas station which is nice especially when you are in a rush, filler up and go go go! The place looks fairly new and clean around the gas pumps. They do offer regular gas, Diesel, and we actually parked next to a gas pump for racing fuel, good to know so we'll fill up our vett here lol! It's spacious that cars and go between other cars without worrying that you might hit them. They do take cards at the pump and the price is about the same. When you start pumping your gas there's active screen that shows news feed while your pumping away. read more

This place is pretty hard to miss if you are driving down Barrington. The HUGE Ricky Rocket riding bronco style atop a missile above the store and the sign out front is not what I would call subtle. I have actually stopped in here on numerous occasions, but prior to today it has always been just to pay at the pump and be on my way. Today I noticed a sign that advertised 'live bait' which made me investigate the inside. My apartment complex has a large man made lake in the center of it which is well stocked with fish. I enjoy fishing when the weather is nice (which has not been often of late) as I find it relaxing. I had not been having much luck with the lures from my tackle box so I figured I would check out their offerings. They have night crawlers, leeches, and the all the other expected live bait on hand and it was even was especially fresh. This is not something I was expecting to find in the middle of the burbs, but a pleasant surprise nonetheless. The inside of the store is also immaculately clean and stocked with food and drinks that far exceed places like 7 Eleven in both quality and selection. They have 4 huge big screens pumping in news and ESPN which makes for a pleasant backdrop while inside. They also have a f'real blending station for milkshakes, which is outstanding if you have never tried it. The coffee was pretty damn good for a gas station, approaching coffeeshop quality even. Restrooms were very clean and well stocked. The staff member that rung me up was friendly, but almost too friendly. You know, the type of clerk that takes what should be a 15 second transaction pleasantry and turns it into an epic? The type that is still trying to talk to you as you are walking out the door? Yup, that was this dude. I appreciate the courteousness, really I do, but anything taken to excess can be bad. People heading into work in the AM are in a hurry. Ricky Rocket's has become my go-to gas station. Yes, I live nearby so it's easy to make that claim, but it's so nice, new, and clean, it's hard to pass up. I now plan my gas tank & mileage to be able to stop at that station. The gas prices are average (discounted with a wash). The car wash is functional. The 'fuel center' is large and offers a wide variety of goods (including mix your own milkshakes and smoothies). It's a little tough to access if you're coming from the north, but those heading that direction can get in and out relatively effortlessly via Barrington road. It's certainly a whole lot easier to access than the BP just down the street. Sorry for the name drop, but gas stations on corners can either be a blessing or a curse. Ricky Rocket's has the feel of a miniature oasis/truck stop/rest area with a lot to offer. Every employee I've encountered has been very friendly. With an overpriced 7-11 also in close proximity, I needed an alternative for convenience store items; I'm glad RR opened because I've found it. Also they have a mascot, so that's fun too. read more

I bought a gallon of milk here and it was sour when I got it home It was in date code but just sour. I returned it the next day. They let me get another but when I got the second gallon home, that too was in code date but sour. I now will never buy milk there again. Beware of their sour milk. This place is amazing as far as gas stations go. I mean, I'd rather go to Ricky Rockets than a QT, Racetrack, 7-Eleven, or anywhere else! It has this "atmosphere" like "hey, this is a gas station with everything in mind". They have everything, lots of space to drive and park, plenty of pumps, beer, ice cream, lotto, knick-knacks, car accessories, amazing employees, clean bathrooms- everything! But what really gets me is the spacious interior. All around a cute retro vibe. This place is great. The soda fountain has a button for cherry flavoring, vanilla, and even energy. This is probably the WORST carwash I have ever been to. PLEASE do yourself a favor and go to another carwash. This Carwash is constantly breaking and if your car is inside while this happened they'll make you fill up an "incident report" and then you will end up paying for every single damage. The only reason this is getting two stars is because of the car wash. You can't see the track your tires are supposed to be on... so if your off it will mess up your car (make it fall pretty much). I went through the car wash, no rinse. The cashier refused to help. So I had soap all over my car. Other then that, the people, for the most part, are very nice. Every time I go to this carwash it does not work. It is always out of service. The one time I was able to wash my car the blower was so powerful that it blew my windshield wiper away. Never again will I go here to wash my car. However, the gas station itself is nice but that is not what I am reviewing here. The carwash is always being fixed and when it's fixed it doesn't really work. There is no one there to dry your car so make sure you have a towel handy if you like your car to not dry with water spots. I did experience one-time when I went into the gas station a rude employee. Did not have an A1 day at this place. Annoyingly lit up so brightly it's viewable from the ISS, the car wash broke down as I was inside. Luckily the brush arm that slammed into my car when it malfunctioned hit the collapsible side mirror so no damage. Their web site had a number that was disconnected when I tried to call for help; was finally able to drive out. The clerk expressed disbelief that it broke down, offered another wash but I declined. I paid for the $10 wash but got $7+change back because my gas was discounted. You would think as a courtesy they would just give the $10. Cheap cheap cheap. I tried this place for the first time and from the looks of it thought it would be a decent car wash. I purchased the premium $10 car wash at the pump and entered the wash. All seemed good until the last segment of the wash when the wash was pulling my car backwards. I thought it was part of the process but then the rear end of my car started to bounce as if it was going off the tracks. I honked my horn and they stopped the wash. Got my car out. The attendant couldn't explain it. My car did not get a full wash and still had soap on it. Went to the cashier with the car wash attendant to get a refund. There was no way that I was going to go through that car wash again. They refused me a refund and rather rudely I might add. I left the place rather angry and will never go there again. read more

The overall presentation and appearance of the gas station looks nice and new at the time of this review. I had a bad experience with the wash, which only got worse and compounded itself with the lack of assistance or cooperation with the manager, Vince Okray. He suggested he need to speak to an attorney before he could give me the businesses insurance information for $300 damage to my car caused by their car wash. Highly uncooperative highly unwilling to speak with you, Took many phone calls trying to chase him down. There are other car wash options in the area all of which I will now be going to.
