I guess I haven't reviewed this particular Costco gas station, but we do frequent it when in the area as we were today. It's a fairly busy station as they are located in densely populated Schaumburg and conveniently off of busy Meacham Rd. The gas pumps are located pretty close to the warehouse for what that's worth, probably the closest of all Costco's, so it's a short little drive to the parking spots for the warehouse. Ingress and egress around the station is open and good. Also, I just reviewed my July 2025 survey of Costco gas prices around Chicagoland and Schaumburg was very close to Oakbrook and Melrose Park for the cheapest Cook County prices (only 2 cpg higher than the cheapest), at least back then. We continue to use Costco Gasoline when we can. It is always less expensive than other gas stations so, for purely financial reason, we'll use Costco when we can. It isn't the most convenient location for us, so we don't always go there. The problem with them is how busy they are. There are generally very long lines to get to the pumps. I suppose that goes with the discounted price for gas they offer. The price difference isn't great enough to wait ten or 15 minutes to get to the pump so when we go there and see long lines, we'll go elsewhere. There are several other gas stations withing a mile or so of Costco. Costco Gasoline also offers no other services than gas pumps. If you need anything else done, this either would not be the station for you, or you'll have to finish pumping then go to another service station. read more

I know from my boyfriend and his Gas Buddy app that Costco is usually the most economical option in the areas in which I frequent, so I will use them when I can. This location is not my "home" location, but it is close to my office and other bi-weekly activities so I fill up when I am in the area. This location usually has long lines and the flow of traffic is less patient than what I am used to--I am used to cars that will fill in and empty all 3 stations at a time instead of driving around pedestrians one at a time. The gas station is usually functional, clean, and cleared in inclement weather. It's pretty self service, but I do see the attendants in case of emergency. read more

I had a horrid tepid chewy stale hotdogs and watery melted mocha last week and after today's fiasco with some lemonade ice replacement of the one delicious strawberry smoothieIm over thos place. FOOD COURT The membership goes up and the menús go to cheaper non-tasty substitutions like this lemonade strawberry smoothie which is mainly ice and some orange slush with chunks of non-drinkable old berries to justify the use of the strawberry description. 2/5 PRICES Toilet paper goes up $5? Tariffs hit Charmin? The Kirkland is still $20ish bucksit used to just be a $5 difference not $10. FOOD Quality of Produce is so poor now. Most everything is no longer a bargain, there is a limit to how much rotisserie chicken you want. GAS Walmart and Meier are comparable. PRODUCE and MEAT Better prices on produce at local franchise places like Aldi and Brookhaven. I am not renewing this Executive Membership... there is no ROI. Smaller gas station in Chicagoland, next to a Costco, but no wait, which is not what I expect from a Costco Gas Station. It has 3 islands, with each island having two pumps (with each having one nozzle on each side): so total of 6 lanes and 12 nozzles total. I've been wanting to use my costco digital cash card(s) (rebates for using costco travel) at the gas station. Since I had time and wasn't rushed, tried to figure out the different ways to pay. 1. easiest is to just tap your costco citi credit card (if you have one). It will automatically verify your membership and use your credit card for payment (Costco recently increased their cash back to 5% for Costco gas purchases using their citi CC....though you do NOT get the 2% additional for Executive membership). Have done this a lot of times. 2. If you want to use your physical membership card instead, you insert that first. Then you do a separate transaction for payment. 3. You can scan the membership number QR code from the Costco App on the scanner at the pump. Once verified, you can then use an accepted pay method (including costco cash card) to pay. I don't think you can use a digital cash card yet at the station. So instead, you would use digital cash card to buy a costco physical cash card at any register inside. I have also not tried #2 above using my Costco Citi CC, thinking that would be similar to #1 (membership and payment in one swipe). read more

Worst Costco gas station to go to. Unless you go right before they close, you'll most likely wait 10min or more to get gas. Only 2 pumps per row where other locations have 3. Nobody pulls around to the first pump if that car finishes first. The wait lines back up blocking the through drive which causes traffic jams. They put cones in between the pumps so you can't go through there either. Overall a tight gas station. Only good thing is the low prices. read more

Out of the handful of Costcos I can chose to go based on my location this is the best one. It's a gas station without the snack foods. You need a costco membership to purchase. The prices are typically 10¢ ton 50¢ cheaper than other local places. The lines are usually longer, but their fuel comes out faster so it goes fast. Do us all a favor and don't be afraid to back into a spot if the person ahead of who you're behind becomes available. read more

Best prices for gas! The lines can get long though. There's no windshield wiper to clean your windows like in regular gas stations, so it's no frills. Generally no attendant, either. You have to have a Costco membership to get gas here, but you can pay with any Visa credit card. Pro tip: the nozzles are long enough to reach to the other side of the car, so you can go to an empty pump on the other side of your gas tank and reach the nozzle all the way around to pump your gas if you don't want to wait for your side. read more

2/2021 The staff here is friendly and I see them helping those in need. They like to strike up a quick conversation while at the pump. I appreciate that friendly tone. Place is always clean and typically all pumps are working. The only reason I can't give 5 stars is the lack of the 3rd pump or a larger place. It frequently builds up in traffic, which does not take long. Just like any other club gasoline it tends to be crowded but guaranteed cheaper prices than any other place within 5 miles radius. I try to always fill up here as it's a convenient location. 5 stars for the gas prices: Seriously, if you have a Costco card drill it in your brain to get gas here. It is that much cheaper. 3 stars for the location: The stalls can back up considerably (especially on weekends - you'd think they were giving away free iPads), so plan accordingly especially when you come in off of Meacham Rd. Wear your patience pants. 4 stars for the usually friendly attendants: Make sure you have for Costco card and an accepted method of payment (no more Amex, friends) and you'll be good to go. I've run into issues with swiping my card (definitely user error), and the attendants are usually over in a hot minute to help me. If you can navigate the traffic and time your car fill up ahead of the crowds, this is likely the most affordable gas option in the area. read more

They changed the nozzles on the pumps so that they're harder to pump gas without it stopping all the time and it's harder to set it so you don't have to hold it while pumping. I'm a petite person, 4'11" and it's now very hard to use these new nozzles. They're heavier than before. An attendant once came over to help me and explained how they changed the nozzles. He was nice enough to stay there with me in case it stopped pumping AGAIN. The next time I went there the line went really slow and when I finally got up to a pump, I understood why. My pump wasn't working at all and no attendant to be found! I will have to pay more for gas somewhere else and may cancel my Costco membership as that was one of the reasons I continued being a member. read more

My family and I have been shopping here for decades!! It's in a great location (near home plus all the other stores in the Schaumburg area we shop at), is clean, well-stocked and well-managed! Plus their power stays on during bad weather compared to the Lake Zurich Costco (which sometimes has that problem and where I sometimes shop at --when I feel like making the schlep through all the pain-in-the-ass traffic on Route 12/Rand Rd.)! Their pharmacy and optical shop are great to shop at too! Great service & prices (well, for most of my meds anyway, except for a few that are made by the evil, greedy price-gouging Mafia-seque big pharma companies)! The only pet peeve I have about this Costco is they need more folks to keep the lot clear of shopping carts spilling into the aisles! Today, I saw about 30 or so carts jutting into half of 2 different aisles in the parking lot near the Westwood Tavern / Wildberry side!! Y'all need to fix THAT!! read more

i guess the pumps can be busy during rush hours (from what i've read) but i generally go early or late and never have much of a wait, if at all. and the prices are usually significantly cheaper than anywhere else in the surrounding area. i guess my only complaints are the pumps aren't open 24 hrs (tho most days they're open 6am-930pm but a little less than that on the weekends) and i wish they had a windshield wiper to clean your windshield as you fill up, as just about every other gas station has. but the main thing is they have the best prices (sometimes by quite a difference) and supposedly their gas grades out as being high quality (per consumer reports, perhaps? i forget where i read that). debit and only VISA credit cards. and i'm guessing they take cash, tho i've never paid that way. EDIT: it doesn't look like they take cash, afterall. a point off for not taking cash, not having windshield wiper stuff and sometimes long lines. read more

I thought I'd give it a try cause someone mentioned getting a one day pass. Well they don't do one day passes anymore. So I'm looking around and don't see any real big difference in prices between them and SAMs. The thing that was the worst is all the rude foreign costumers. I patiently waited for some of the food that they give out as "tasters" and not once but twice when the tray was put out all these rude ass foreign people start cutting in front of you like starving dogs. They have no common decency and need to learn some American manners. Besides that they drive like idiots in the parking lot . I lost 2 parking spots cause they will pull into that spot, even though you were waiting with your turn signal on. I should have know that this behavior wouldn't be any different inside. They can keep this place. At least the Hispanic people at SAMs are more courteous. So I'll just stick to SAMs. Plus Walmart is next door so you can grab you smaller items. Can't beat that. read more
