Ok, for a consignment shop, this is the best in Boise...hands down. If you know of a better, by all means, lemme know. 2nd hand shops are SO MUCH FUN to shop in. They have shit that is actual quality...you know, from times when products we buy were made...good. Today, everything is cheaply made and made is....puke...China lol. All products from there are crap. We all know it. That's why shopping at stores like this is always a good time. There's a 2nd hand shop downtown that is pretty bad ass as well, but GURRRRL, you gonna pay them downtown prices, lol. Still a fantastic store and of course I can't remember the name. That's probably good for Ricochet, if they actually read this review lol. Ok, so this store is always a blast to go through. It's so big, so homey, and they have SO MUCH STUFF! You will definitely find something in there you like and probably that you weren't even shopping for lol. The staff is ALWAYS so super sweet and very accommodating. They seem to go the extra mile for their customers :) Now...the prices, lol. This place is a little....pricey. With each passing month, year....they get a little higher in price. I tell my roommate "I see their stuff on insta and ask the price and some times fall out of my seat lol. I blame the population boom in this city" And that's true lol, I do blame all the Californians moving here, hahahahaha! Ok ok, not just them. I blame all the people moving here. I'm sure with the way the population is growing, so is their rent...I dunno. I'm not sure how it all works. It's sad though....that so many people are moving here....OH...and yeah, the prices. Lol. Don't get me wrong tho, they may be a tad pricey, but they are still very much affordable. I mean, after all, a huge majority of the stuff in there is/are antiques or are close to becoming antiques. Of course they have selections of things from 80's to present day stuff. Look, bottom line is, this store is amazing. It has the best variety of stuff, it's super clean, the way they display their products is incredible! Someone over there knows what they're doing. If you have been here, you know EXACTLY what I am talking about. If you haven't been, seriously, wtf are you waiting for?? North enders, look, its OOOOOKKKK to venture away from your scared land....the north end. It's ok to head over to Garden City to check this place out. Why? Because it's f'n amazing. Sure the store downtown is incredible, has a great feel to it, and is the "trendy" 2nd hand store to shop at, lol, but at least at Ricochet, you'll get better deal and there's more stuff to go through.....literally TONS of stuff! In the back of the store, where it's a little warmer lol...I think it's a swamp cooler vs the ac in the main showroom....but in the back, they have a super adorable little clothing store. Their door is a screen door....and I LOVE little touches like that. Wish I had snapped a pic...grrr! Sorry, next time, I will.. Only shitty thing about that store, they only sell women's clothes. BOOOOO! Men exist! We are here! We ALSO like to wear clothes....mainly because we don't want to go to jail! Lol. I'm saying, it'd be great if they started carrying mens clothes..it's still a super cute little spot in there! Ok, peeps! Hope this helps in getting you's to go to this magnificent store! Thanks for reading, Ricochet'ers and future Ricochet'ers! And of course, thanks Yelpedererees! Cheers!

A big second-hand shop with lots of dated, used furniture, accessories, and decor. Nothing struck me as a deal. Prices are high for dingy, second hand, dated furniture. I find much better deals on Facebook Marketplace.

Holy guacamole, this place is amazing! Room after room of beautiful pieces for your bedroom,…read morekitchen, office, all. Pieces are displayed well they make you want them all... if you only had a truck that big. Prices are reasonable and there are some steals to be had. Everywhere you look there is shiny, and furry, and fluffy, and cooly. :) This place is packed to the brim with awesome and looks are deceiving because this place is much larger than the store front looks. Friendly and fun so bring your pieces in to sell OR buy more pieces for your house. Make sure to have some time to look in every corner so you get to see it all.

I update this review to say our experiences with them in that role have been very good ones. SUCCESSFUL SALES Recycled room has sold every item we've consigned with them; from custom framed art work to Pottery Barn home accents to Buck's County purchased antique carts to high end brand custom upholstered furniture. As to the buyers who have reviewed this store to say price points are high, I chuckle in the context of realizing it is all perspective. As seller I'd say whomever bought the Mitchell Gold - Bob Williams Zondra knife edged pillow back and seat settee with the Kravet Couture upholstery on it that we had nearly $2,000 invested in at purchase six years ago and was nearly new for condition scored a great bargain at the under $300 sale price. Same for whomever bought the $250 lamp with shade for thirty bucks. Or the pair of custom upholstered, interior designer refurbished French country "one of a kind" arm chairs for about $150 each...that didn't even cover a fraction of the cost of the original fabrics alone. The list goes on. We are very happy the items sold. We hope buyers realize good values for the quality when they buy through Recycled Room. SUPPORTING A WELL RUN SMALL BUSINESS The fun of reselling items through Recycled Room is the people who run the store and work there are so nice to deal with. And we know our once loved but no longer a fit things are going to new homes with people who made the effort to shop (I hate shopping so it seems effort to me) and probably appreciate the 'find' (don't we all when it happens). Plus, we help support a small business that creates jobs for local people and is being well run and where pride of ownership shows. Here I'll admit we "cheated on" Recycled Room to consign a couple of designer furniture pieces at another store in the area when we were advised by local furniture store staff that this other resale store would deliver the highest sales price to us given their audience of buyers. Which may be true, our items did sell for a higher price than I imagine Recycled Room would have assigned to the furniture. But the other business was difficult to work with and their communication processes were poor. We are much happier sellers working with Recycled Room. Live and learn. This is our 'go to' place. THE DRILL If you want to consign here, the drill is provide photo(s) and description of your item and the owner will let you known if they can consign it and when they will have room in the store to do that. PICK - UP We got spoiled in our previous home that the local consignment place we worked with did free pick up. We haven't noticed any consignment places in the Boise area who offer that service. So if you're not delivering your own items, plan on adding the cost of transport to your cost of sale here, just like any other consignment place. The good news is the pick up guy they recommend has a reasonable rate (as example, $70 for a pair of upholstered arm chairs he picked up today) and he's typically available to pick up whenever it is you need him and a really nice guy to boot. PS - LOOK BEHIND THE FILTER For reasons I know not, Yelp has behind the filter three glowing reviews for Recycled Room. In reading them they all seem bonafide to me. This time we were hunting for hard to find size chairs to replace a pair of 25yo Baker brand chairs (yes, we are replacing not reupholstering them given the style just doesn't work for being comfy seating for me now even though a premium brand) for home office tv viewing and reading. This time we experienced this Basset store as possible buyers and in that view my original 4 star bumps up to 5 star experience. DESIGN PROFESSIONALS STAFF & GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE: Although we gave it a good try thanks to the help of one of the designers, Jamie who has been in the design industry and knows her stuff as well as the Bassett inventory, we couldn't find the right fit of style and fabric combined. But we appreciated the bright large space with ample space to navigate around the items on display as well as the handy design center with fabric samples...custom carpet corner pieces too...and that we could take home large fabric 'memo samples' to look at in our space. The young owner-manager, Chance, models top notch customer care, also weighed in to answer a question that Jamie wanted his help to answer for me. And his looking out for customers was also so for all the store employees. THEIR NICHE & AUDIENCE: The Bassett brand is on the mid range, maybe lower mid range, in prices and for what it is the quality seems very good with customization available in some pieces for wood finishes, fabrics and cushion fills. Some pieces are bench made in the U.S. They offer custom dining table sizes sometimes only found in higher price brands. If you're in the market for furniture in the Treasure Valley, Basset is definitely worth the look and in particular if you're a CHF or RC Willey or Bungalow Home audience shopper I think you'll find options here that may be better quality in similar price points. STYLE OPTIONS: Borrowed from my first review - "From mid-century, to tailored casual, to transitional, to rustic, to modern, to traditional, there are styles for all tastes. Whether you're shopping for apartment or condominium, a whole house or one room in a home or looking for just one piece to finish off a room there are options here scaled to work in almost any space. Whether you're furnishing for hipster single or young couple or growing family or empty nesters or senior living, there seems to be something for everyone..." in this mid range price point. LOCATION: Convenient, just south of The Village, in the former Pier 1 store space, near Bed Bath and Beyond. PARKING: Lots of it in private lot. ACCESSIBILITY: ADA parking in lot. Store is fully accessible.

I had always assumed Bassett was extremely expensive but I was pleasantly surprised! I have been to many of the high-end name stores in the treasure valley and their prices were two to three times the amount for the exact same furniture that Bassett sells. I wish I knew about them sooner! So far I've ordered six dining room chairs and a sectional and have plans to order a console, Ottoman and a coffee table from Bassett. I got to choose from a ton of custom fabrics...many of them performance and Crypton. Thanks Meridian Bassett crew!

Today I was shopping for a unique birthday gift for a friend. I finally settled on a colorful martini glass made in the Republic of Czechoslovakia, but the three red leather art-deco counter stools almost made it into my car. But mostly because the woman manning the store (yes, I did intend that to be a pun) didn't bother to ask if we were looking for anything or if she could help us. This in spite of the fact that there were only two other shoppers in the place, so not as if there was a crush. Given this is newly opened within the last several months, maybe they are still learning the customer care ropes. But they have a lot of competition in the area as resale stores go so one thinks they'd be interested in top notch help for both buyers and possible consigners. We were in for both reasons, actually. I'm shopping for accessories for particular home location. And I have a hand knotted, vegetable dyed, Pakistan originated, wool area rug that I'm hoping to consign. They did have some rolled rugs standing in the store, so it may be they would take mine. But since the person working there ignored us, only a cursory hello in response to my "hi" to her, I think I'll continue looking for both consignment and buying. Ending on a high note, the place is spotless and some of the accessory items look as if new. THIS N THAT: 1) PARKING: Private lot. 2) ACCESSIBILITY: Once you get in the door, the store is all on one floor with mostly ample clearances between items. But the parking lot here is another of many Boise area examples of parking that does not meet Federal ADA rules or Idaho Accessibility Building Code minimums. Neither for scope nor for design. However, that failure is the the strip mall owner's and not the store's. 3) NEIGHBOR: At the other end of the strip mall you'll find Model Home Furnishings which is recently under new ownership. You'll get a great welcome and helpful assistance from the women working there.
