My review is long overdue, I meant to review Ricre8 sooner than I did but, before I knew it...Poof! There went a year. My wife and I got married on March of last year. We were unsure if we wanted to have a videographer or not... We knew that we were getting close to reaching the budgetary limit we set for our wedding and debated the need for a videographer on top of 3 photographers. Man, am I glad we hired Ricardo! We came across Ricardo's listing on Craigslist and were impressed by his website and his diverse body of work. He was very easy to get a hold of and very accommodating when it came to scheduling a meeting. Our first impression from speaking with him was that he appeared very sincere and trustworthy, an overall good vibe. We liked how professionally he presented himself and his business. I'm sure some of it had to do with the fact that his Christian values reflected in his work ethic. Ricardo met with us months prior to our wedding. After going over everything, we decided to hire him. Having interviewed a handful of other videographers, not only did Ricardo seem more genuine but offered us more bang for our buck in comparison to other, more expensive options. The day of the wedding, he was at the venue long before we showed up, looking for the best vantage points to capture our special day. Ricardo and his assistant covered every moment from my bride getting ready to the reception dance. I loved that they got a lot of guest interactions in our film because that is one aspect of my wedding I wish I could have been everywhere to see. I thought it was a nice touch when he added voice-overs for our letters to each other that he incorporated into the video, it made it that much better. The wedding video was mailed to us in a fancy box in DVD and flash drive format and came a lot faster than we had anticipated. All, in all, we were pleasantly surprised with the quality of the video, how they captured the excitement and happiness of the moment and the fact that they were so accommodating to our requests regarding the filming process. We feel we could not have chosen a better company to work with. If you are worried about being duped by some overpriced wedding videographer, save yourself the stress and hire Ricardo. There I was planning this amazing surprise 1920's/mobster 50th birthday bash for my husband in May when our dear friend who is a photographer and takes all of our big event pictures, i.e.; weddings, business affairs, etc., informed me he had been called out of state on important business and wouldn't be available to take the pictures for this event. Ugh! My budget was already maxed and I only had so much room to afford a new photographer who wasn't going t to be giving me the "friend" rate. Panicked and desperate I began searching on Craig's List and came across RICRE8's website and had already sent e-mails to a few other photographers I'd found prior to seeing Ricardo's site, but something kept drawing me back to his website. The professionalism of it, the sincerity in his work, the personalization of his journey to this vocation, so I sent him an e-mail explaining my dilemma as well. A day or so later, I received e-mails from two of the others I'd sent e-mails to, but I held off responding to them waiting to hear from RICRE8. When Ricardo e-mailed me back he apologized for the delay in responding (it wasn't even that long), informed me he was available that date as well, attached a full packaging price that was clear of what his company would provide and VERY affordable! I felt a click! At some point Ricardo and I spoke directly over the phone and discussed the event and I felt that he was the perfect choice to capture this moment for my husband and would deliver on his promises as a photographer. Dealing with Ricardo was a delight! He was very responsive, professional and even secured a second photographer for my event to ensure no moments were missed. He and his associate arrived early to ensure they were there before I brought the birthday guy. They were dressed similarly in black and very neat. They stayed the whole night and didn't miss ANYTHING! Once Ricardo edited the photos they were uploaded on his website (this takes a few weeks, but I was well informed of that ahead of time and it was no problem) and that allowed me to share the link with family and friends across the miles! He delivered the USB flash drive shortly thereafter in what I would consider the COOLEST custom keepsake box! The box was a 4"x3" black box with a black & white photo of my husband, at the "SURPRISE" moment, right on the front. So awesome! He loves it and keeps it on his desk now and the final photos were plentiful and AMAZING! I couldn't have asked for anything more. All in all, I would ABSOLUTELY use RICRE8's services again and refer Ricardo without hesitation. If you're looking for a photographer with an incredible eye, who's professional, affordable and delivers as promised...look at RICRE8 first. Ricardo came through for me in a dire crunch and delivered above and beyond my expectations for this special event and did so with less than a 2 weeks notice! My (now) wife and I hired Ricardo to shoot our wedding in Beverly Hills. Throughout the entire process Ricardo was very courteous, communicative, professional, and, most important: an all around great photographer. We ended up with many shots that will last a lifetime on the walls of our home, and the in the homes of our family and friends. Ricardo met with us a month ahead of time to personally assess our needs and explain his (very reasonable) pricing. The day of, he showed up an hour early to get the lay of the land and plan his angles and lighting. He set up three video cameras and a microphone to capture the ceremony. He coordinated around our schedule throughout the rest of the reception, handling posed photographs as well as candid photos himself. Towards the end of the night, he stayed vigilant even as things were beginning to wind down. Finally, he got us our edited photos and video on our 1 month anniversary. This is a very fast turn-around time for a wedding photographer. No BS "digital copy" fees, no mandatory prints or books. Straightforward, high quality work from a kind and courteous craftsman. We hired Ricardo and his team to do our wedding video and we were very happy with the results! From the first email, Ricardo was very professional and got back to us in a timely manner. He answered all of our questions and delivered on everything that was promised. We aren't very creative so it was nice that they took care of all the logistics and worked really well with our wedding coordinator so that we didn't have to really worry about much. The reviews does lie! Ricardo & his crew are the real deal! My wife and I decided to throw our wedding in her Dad's back yard since he has plenty of space, which also meant we would have to go about booking everything ourselves within a budget. I was lucky enough to come across Ricardo's listing on Craigslist, the price almost seemed too good to be true. Going through Craigslist for an important part of our wedding kind of had me nervous, but Ricardo's professionalism throughout the entire process left me rest assured that I made the right choice.
