Diligent insurance has been absolutely awful to work with these last few weeks which I hate writing…read morea bad review but this place has been a pain in our side after our mother's death. I personally referred my mom and dad to them because Katherine was so amazing to work with... we have been dealing with the guy in the office and the other lady. So my mom passed away VERY unexpectedly May 7th, i personally was handling all her finance stuff because this of course hit her husband my dad VERY hard. I completely forgot to call the insurance until they with drawn close to $400 out of my moms bank account then I called to let them know hey my mom passed away May 7th and that money you just pulled we were using that to pay for her lot rent since our family had to come out of pocket for her funeral. First I spoke with the woman and she told me she would call me back, she did asking me if my moms vehicle was being driven I let her know no it was not that I needed them to cancel the policy and put the money back in her account. Didn't hear back I called and spoke with the guy, he was VERY disrespectful trying to make it like we need to keep the policy and I kept telling him no the auto is not being driven we have no idea what we are going to even be doing with it quite yet and we need that money put back. He told me he would call back no call. Then I called or she called finally I can't remember spoke with the lady again, I let her know it is illegal to pull money out of the bank account of a someone that is no longer here and the money needs to be refunded, then she went into executive of state let her know that my dad her husband is still here she told me he isn't on the policy.. I told her it doesn't matter legally he handles everything because legally they are still married and then she told me she had to talk to him. So he called and spoke with the guy and once again was VERY disrespectful to my dad, my dad asked him when he would hear something because they have been giving us the hardest time and he very rudely said when I hear something. Then in the mean time my dad gets a $500 bill from them smh. I think even after all this the girl was like oh and I'm sorry about her death. They have not been very helpful at all to make this process easy for us and it's very disappointing to say the least. So here we are still waiting for an answer, we don't know if they have canceled the policy, we don't know if the car still is insured and they took money out of a woman's account that is no longer with us that they will not refund, how disgusting!

We went with them because they're affordable. The problem was when we hit a deer and needed to have…read moreit repaired. They were quick with the quote. Took it to be repaired, and it was fixed in a timely manner. Here is where the problem begins. The repair shop called the adjuster many times, to no avail. We've called and still nothing. The shop where we took our car stated they've had problems with collecting payment from the before. I guess you do get what you pay for.

Their companies are awful. I literally had to call EVERYDAY for weeks to get the insurance adjuster from the company to go pay for the repairs to my car at a shop because the shop wouldn't release my car because they had several outstanding balances. The premiums kept going up and up and up. Outrageous. We switched, called to cancel and guess what! The next time insurance was due they still autodrafted it from my account! I do NOT recommend Cole and Durham to anyone! Take your business to somewhere friendly and helpful!
