Horrible company. They were supposed to take my disabled son from his nursing home to a colonoscopy at a hospital at 4 am. Not only did they take him to the doctor's office instead of the hospital, they left him outside of the locked doors of the building in his wheel chair and wearing his hospital gown. At 4 am. Horrible. My MINOR child has a set schedule to attend a clinic every day all day and will be there for treatment for at least a few months. So I set rides up in advance for the same pick up window for every morning and every evening M-F for that duration. I was told that they give 30 minute pickup windows which seems not completely unreasonable. I was just so thankful for the service being able to take a lot of stress off my shoulders to get my child to/from the care that he medically needs as I have no back up solutions. We've only been using this service for two weeks approx now and almost every single day I have to call in because there's no driver there to pick up my child. Sometimes they have no driver scheduled to pick him up. Sometimes dispatch repeatedly tries to get ahold of the driver to get communication/eta but just can't reach them after multiple tries. Sometimes they're just 15 minutes late outside of their 30 minute pick up window (not a big deal because I get traffic happens on occasion). But sometimes they're much much later, like today and yesterday. He was picked up two hours AFTER he was released from clinic. I have to call almost daily to figure out why there's no driver to take him or pick him up. Then I have to relay that to my child. Then I have to relay that to the clinic. Then the clinic has to keep a staff member there past their closing time, just to wait until my child is picked up by this service. This is absolutely unacceptable. I spend so much time on the phone during the day dealing with this, almost daily. This service is supposed to be here to help alleviate some of the stress of transportation to and from medically necessary treatment but it does nothing but add additional extreme stress to each and every day because I never know if my child is actually going to be picked up to make it to his heavily structured medical treatment or if he will make it back home at a reasonable time. Update: Upon finally returning home tonight, I asked my child how their ride home was. "Not good" is the response that I received. Reason? I was told that the driver was driving too close to the car ahead of them and that they weren't paying attention to the road. There was a phone mount on the windshield but the driver was moving the phone, while the car was in motion on the freeway, from the mount to resting on the steering wheel (not in a holder). My minor child knew this was unsafe driving behavior. I will be filing yet another grievance on Monday. Probably pointless to complain though from what I've gathered. I asked a supervisor what the next step is after filing a grievance. What happens if this just continues every day as it has been? We're only two weeks in and we still have two and a half months left of two rides a day. What happens if this continues? No answer. So, nothing. File as many grievances as we'd like. Heck, do it daily. But, it's pointless. Nothing is going to change. That's unfortunately the conclusion that I've had to come to in the short time we've used this service. Not reliable. Not safe. If I weren't a single mom and had other options I would 100% not use this service. Appalling that this is the support that our minor children are being forced to accept. My childs safety is of the utmost importance so I will be escalating this as far as I need to in order to be heard/seen and to get results. ZERO stars!! read more

Ride to Care is literally THE WORST medical transportation service I have ever dealt with! There's 2 good drivers who are on time and consistent and then they randomly send you the most unprofessional people they can. I seriously can't stand this company anymore! Th4e dispatch is always unprofessional and they act so disorganized. You ask for specific drivers to pick you up and one dispatch/customer service rep tells you, "Yeah, you can request to have a certain driver" then they just flat out not listen to your request. Then you call again and make another request for better drivers and then someone else tells you, "No. We don't have any driver requests like you're asking for." I am so SICK of this crap! I liked my drivers before but then all of the sudden, they randomly throw someone new at me and that person's late all the time and so flaky and I just get so exhausted with the inconsistencies. I have tried to get my driver's license in the state of Oregon for the past 6 months and for some reason, you have to always wait 8-10 weeks to get an appointment for a fucking driver's license test so I literally have to have my weekly ride schedule in the hands of unprofessional, unsympathetic people who just don't give a fuck about anything and they want to be your best friend or treat you like complete shit! Only 2 of these drivers have had any semblance of professional demeanor and I wanted those drivers to be my only drivers! But nope, I can't have anyone who does their job well, can I? Nice people with good intentions but they aren't available on evenings or weekends and you have to book several days in advance and they don't confirm until 2 days before. It's not convenient but it is free but they accept donations. If you have no other choice it will do in a pinch. read more

Good luck trying to get reimbursed for past transportation costs if you get a ride from someone and wish to receive the mileage reimbursement. First of all when calling them almost every operator you speak to acts as if they are irritated they even have to speak to you. Next they act like every question they ask you are lying about in your answer to them. Oh and God forbid you have past appointments(up to 45 days allegedly) that they're supposed to reimburse you for. You'll be lucky to see any of that back pay. Last time I didn't receive any of it. Even though by law they are suppose to pay you up to 45 days back from the day you call in. So they just kept about 250.00 that I had to pay out of my own pocket to get rides to my appointments. The place is horrible at they're job. IDK how the state keeps them still doing the work. read more

But in the past year, or so, and especially the last 3 months, and even more today, I got the most remarkable experience yet. Completely awful company. Awful. Today I was yelled at by a Ride to Care employee because i WASNT EARLY. I scheduled a drop off for my client and i from 2-2:30, and because we didn't show up before 2, they threatened to leave. When we finally got downstairs to get into the ride, he was yelling at me. telling me i need to "take responsibility" and continuing to rehash the same point over and over again. eventually he was apologizing and asked if he was "excused". i'm not one to make reviews and complain but this situation really took the cake for a terrible experience. i don't think i've had a worse customer experience in my LIFE. not to mention, ive been completely abandoned by a Ride to Care employee for not being early before! this company just needs to be shut down. there's no way it can improve. it's TERRIBLY ran. read more

If I could rate zero, I would. We scheduled a ride 2 days in advance. The ride did not come. We missed our hard-to-get medical specialist appointment. When I called the complaint line I was routed immediately to "same day service" without being able to file the complaint. After their confirmation that our driver was not answering his calls and that we didn't get a ride (well duh) they wanted to send me to "complaints". I told them that was where I started, so they connected me with a Lead. The Lead confirmed everything already stated and let me know that Ride to Care cannot guarantee rides. I found this shocking. I confirmed it with her saying "what if I sent my minor to the appointment and the return ride didn't come? Would they be stranded?" She tried to reassure me that within an hour an a half someone would pick them up. I stopped pressing the point just thinking about a minor, without a cell phone, and without knowing what to do, being in that situation, possibly after Ride to Care office hours. And that the Ride to Share Lead didn't grasp the severity of the situation. What good is a ride service that can't guarantee rides? Then she wanted to transfer me to complaints. While waiting on hold with complaints, I was disconnected. That just capped it all off nicely. Wow. Oregon Health Share really needs to find another way. This is a terrible reflection on them as well. The bad ratings go back as far as 2019. I only wish that I had read the reviews before I had scheduled the ride and counted on them. (Yelp shows me as being from San Francisco. I live in Portland.) read more

Understand this, while ride to care is pretty much the only game in town for medical transport, if your driver is sketchy, or they do something harmful, like spraying a bunch of cologne to cover up cigarette smoke, an incident which caused my partner and asthma attack, they will not back you, and they will give you the run around. Record every interaction with their drivers, you are not safe with them, and they will lie when it comes time for the investigators to look into the matter. they are poorly ran, and if you need them, understand that you are taking your health and safety into their incapable hands. read more

I've frequently been left waiting for a ride that would never show up. I've missed 4 out of my last 5 appointments, most all of them with specialists or special tests that I had been waiting a while to make. Even in that one appointment I arrived at, on the return ride, the driver wouldn't come to the entrance I was at and made me walk down the middle of the street down a hill (there was no sidewalk) while he honked at me to go quicker. On a daily basis there is problems with these people. They never save rides, are always late causing people to miss their appointments, take my residents to wrong locations and refuse to bring them back, will leave them stranded, drivers AND people on the phone are the most disrespectful, disgusting, unprofessional people I have ever delt with in my life. Zero isn't allowed!! I've been stranded or waiting 2-3 hours for a ride! I've been late to multiple appointments! Ride to Care puts the blame on the contracted companies and drivers!! I've filed multiple(10+) complaints with Ride to Care! I've spoken to people in their grievance department, I STILL have issues! I spoke to then on a Friday, I HONESTLY had issues on the following MONDAY!!! REALLY??? Their has to be another option?? If I could drive myself to the appo, there would be no problems!!! OHP and Ride to Care need to get their heads out of their a$$es and fix this!! I've seen the news reports and all the other complaints...if they were my cell phone provider - I would've switched a long time ago! And they don't think my time isn't important! I feel that we need to be compensated for our time!! My time is worth $25hr! $50 for a late to appointment. $50 for a NO SHOW! If I have a valid complaint... mail me a check!!! TAX FREE!!! Then they don't get out of their vehicles to find you . They wait 7 minutes then mark you a no show. Try to get a ride after that! No way. UPDATE: This company is still garbage. There has been zero change. They book rides without actually having drivers to take care of the rides. Today my husband sat for about 2 hrs waiting for a ride home. I recently had to go and rescue him because while they booked a ride to his appointment they couldn't guarantee him a ride home and he sat for 3 hrs till finally I got off work and had to rush to go get him. They say they'll reimburse but that STILL is a load of BS, I can't stand the way these people operate the company there is zero accountability for drivers and for those booking appointments with no return rides. My husband at times is wheelchair bound so this is inexcusable! I can't even imagine the other people who may not have an alternative means home that are stuck depending on this crappy company. What has Health Share Oregon done to this program? Starting in March 2020, it has been completely destroyed. I am a caregiver. I called to make appointments for the first week of march and literally sat on hold for 52 minutes when the call was picked up and immediately hung up. I was so frustrated and called back. This time I waited an hour and a half for a representative to answer. Then, the ride showed up an hour late. So, I thought I'd be very proactive for the second week. On Wednesday, March 4, I filled out the online form for the patient for the following Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. We never received a confirmation of the rides. When I called for confirmation, they still had 45 minute hold times, so I hung up. Needless to say, the ride never showed up on Monday and the patient missed his appointment. Now we were scrambling for rides for Tuesday. After alternate arrangements were made, the ride actually showed up Tuesday morning without any call or confirmation. I explained to the driver that we made other plans because it is nearly impossible to make an appointment by phone or their online system doesn't work. The driver told me that this has happened to him several times since the beginning of the month. PLEASE FIX YOUR SYSTEM! It was working fine bore you changed it. read more

As an adult foster home Provider, i use this service regularly for client rides to the Doctor. I have a client who requires a large vehicle to accommodate his needs as he is 300+ pounds, with ambulation problems. I schedule rides days in advance, the scheduler reads back his weight, extra wide walker, and seatbelt extender, but when the ride shows up, it's a Prius or similar, though I requested larger vehicles. Unreliable, inconsistent, and inconvenient service. The three out of 4 rides I've booked through Healthshare of Oregon have had pickup times completely out of the original ones I scheduled. Last time I was left outside in the rain, in the dark, by myself around businesses that had already been closed, for nearly 2 hours. Every time I would call - over the span of 45 min - the operator would just say the driver would be there in less than 5 min. Even the pickup times to bring me there, they have come up to 30 min early than what they had scheduled for me. Very frustrating. I wish something would be done about this service because it is clearly not working for its patients. Very disappointed. read more

Gridworks is TERRIBLE at their job- I wish it could be one star. After over one year of experiencing this "new and improved" process as I try to help patients get to/from medical appointment after medical appointment, I am so sad that this is all we have to offer people who are on Medicaid. Today I saw a mother and daughter waiting over 2 hours for a ride. Lyft could have picked them up in 4 minutes. Today I was asked to help someone who had been waiting over 2.5 hours (we called in 4 times to request support and Gridworks had no idea what was happening... lots of traffic, you know?). Uber could have picked this person up in 7 minutes. Last week I called twice, waited over 15 minutes each time, and was hung up on. Then I called in and requested Spanish (just as a test) and I was routed in 10 minutes to an English speaking operator. I asked if he spoke Spanish and he said he did not. People using this service are using it as a last resort. They are not people who have the luxury of calling a Lyft or an Uber or Radio Cab as they do not have the funds to do so. How is it reasonable, safe, appropriate to use this inefficient system? The turnover must be terrible at Gridworks because no one is happy after waiting so long to speak to someone or waiting so long to be picked up. How much money is wasted in healthcare by rides that don't happen leading to appointments that don't happen and must be rescheduled. How many cancers have grown in the time that takes? How many COPD exacerbations have been caused by lack of medical care? How many preventable issues advance while we wait for another specialist appointment and pray for a ride that may never come? I expect someone will die due to Ride to Care/Gridworks negligence and inadequate support and if there is a lawsuit, there is no way I'll be allowed on the jury. I will periodically remove this review when/if service improves (and re-post when/if service degraded to the Negative One Star I currently rate Gridworks. read more

This company would be good if people running it were competent. Ride to care will drop you off at a location but then won't pick you back up unless they can verify the patient was actually at the drop of location and if they for some reason can't verify you were at that location then they just hang up the call, they don't even have the courtesy to tell you they can't verify. if the patient schedules a pick up and drop off time in advance then no verification required. What a bullshit company. Ride to care has been totally UNRELIABLE for this past year! It is a major stresser in my life and l missed two doctor's appointments last week! Today I was stranded at Kaiser Rockwood for three hours before they sent Broadway cab to finally bring me home. I have had even worse experiences since I moved to Clackamas country because there is no non medical ride service that I know of. I have asked ride to Care to never send Broadway Cab because it always becomes a nightmare but lately have been told no other company would pick it up. The hold time to call ride to Care is outrageous and generally at least 20-30 minutes listening to stupid music and the same idiotic message about a hop card. There should be a way for them to call you back like Kaiser has or app to book rides on line. Please pressure the new manager to do his job responsibility!!!! read more

2 no shows in one day! Seems like a problem that needs attention. This could endanger someones life and should not be taken lightly. First was a legitmate no show and driver called and apologized. Was able to reschedule a much needed appt for Vertigo for later in day. Someone at the call center on staff canceled even though it clearly said it was a reschedule. Why would they not call if they were concerned or had a question? To randomly cancel is dangerous. Sent an email and a grievance for a call back with explanation of protocol at this call center. How often does this happen? And to how many people? What do they do to help mitigate what is missing that could make a difference for both employee and customer...? read more

On Tuesday, March 3rd I had a scheduled appointment in Oregon City at 1:00. When the driver picked me up at 12:00, she then had to go to SE Burnside, then to SE Stark, then to 72nd & Division, then to Gladstone, then to Willamette Fall Hospital, then she took me to my appointment on Library Ct (Oregon City) which made me late for group, as I arrived at 1:25 pm. Today, March 6th, my driver was due to arrive between 9:15 am to 9:20 am to take me to my appointment from 10:00 am to 11:00 am. The driver did not arrive until 11:42 am. I then declined the ride as it would have made me miss the entire hour of my appointment. I will NEVER call Ride to Care again!!! read more

They don't log my rides correctly ,they mix up dates and times and don't even care about it. Sine when does an appointment at a chiropractor take 2 hours ?
