We had a great time here. The decor is fun like being in an old fashioned gas station. Lots of burgers to choose from. The quarter pound burger was plenty. I had the hot rod that had pepper jack cheese and jalapeños. I ordered a side of tots, which were nice and crispy. My friend had the fish sandwich with waffle fries. She thought it was very good. Looking for a place for a burger. Review said doesn't look like much on the outside but you'll love the inside. Spot on. Loved the inside so Out of morbid curiosity I ordered the recommended Studabaker burger. It was awesome! Wife had the pork tenderloin, and in spite of growing up Iowa, she said it was one of the best she ever had. Only needed Bougies mustard from the quad cities. All in all, a great place to stop, and don't be afraid to try something different. Great people too! read more

I absolutely love this place. I love the feel of being there. Every time I go I get the salad. I am obsessed with this place. Not only is the food amazing but the staff are too. The staff are excellent. They are always so kind. The food comes very fast. It always tastes so fresh. It's not noisy. It's moderate. It's not too loud but not too quiet. Everybody is so friendly. I brought my friend from Japan there to try their food and she was in love. I absolutely will recommend this to anyone and everyone. 100% recommend. I also admire their unique burgers. Peanut butter and egg doesn't sound good together but once it is it's mind blowing. I'm in love with the weird combos and tasty food they have. read more

New into town looking for something to eat on for a late dinner. Found this location on Google maps. The reviews were decent. And the pictures of the food and menu was decent. The prices of the food was amazingly low but that does not count for the quality of the food because everything tasted good. From the burger to the fries being fresh out the grease was excellent. But please bring cash because they do not except any cards but they do have an ATM machine on site this restaurant bar and grill only takes cash and checks local checks not out-of-state checks! read more

Wow. In town for work, wanted a burger but not fast food. Found this place on yelp. Honestly probably one of the absolute best burgers I've ever had! I did the 69 Camaro ss (added grilled onion) this time, cant wait to come back and try another. Tots where a little over cooked, but that dont bother me none. Food came out quick, 10 minutes or so. Service was just ok, could be friendlier. Food definitely outweighed the service. No cards, cash or check only gets a thumbs down, its 2019, c'mon. Will be back though without a doubt! read more

Don't judge a book by its cover. From the outside of the building this place doesn't look like much, but step inside and be prepared to be impressed. Our waitress was pleasant and attentive and was taking care of most patrons it seemed. Food arrived quickly and was fresh and delicious. They serve a wide variety of burgers and other sandwiches and sides. We found this place as recommended by the Iowa Cattlemen's list of the top burgers in the state. While visiting Iowa from Southern California, we stopped in here for some "real food". It was busy but not full and the waitress was amazing! She took great care of us and even when our two year old decided he owned the whole place, she smiled and was very understanding. We ordered the knobbies which were delicious! Our table ordered various burgers, chicken strips, and tenderloin sandwiches. The burgers are AMAZING!!! They are so tender and the buns are light and flavorful. Only thing I would change is the fries. A nice homemade fry or steak style french fries would put this place over the top. read more

Me and my father came here and the service is ok but it was very packed especially with Covid going on we had some random people pull up a seat right next to us and we got a burger called the "fat boy" it's a bacon cheeseburger and when it came out the patty's were grey and so was the bacon I took one bite and it wasn't good and I had found a long grey hair in my burger and there were flys flying around and landing on your food I have no idea if today was just a bad day for them but I'm never going back. read more

Stopped in for a few drinks and to play pool. As out-of-towners we felt right at home and that was all due to the fantastic owners and staff. They were having a family event the night we happened in, and they invited us to join their celebration. They treated us as long lost friends and were very accommodating. As a full time traveler it's difficult sometimes to find a place where you can walk in alone and in a short time have the locals and the owner make you feel like you have been coming there for years. Rides is that bar. The beer is cold, the food is great and the staff is like family. The owner is a down to earth, fun loving guy who obviously enjoys what he does and sucks at darts (not really). Crowded, noisy, busy and fun. A local place that hops even on a Tuesday night. I sat at the bar to eat. The special was a double cheese burger with French fries and it was great! Flame grilled, juicy and a nice medium rare. The bun was toasted just enough to keep the double patties and cheese corralled. And big! It's a really big burger. Two drinks and, with tip, $11 out the door. You can't beat that. read more
