First, for the record, I want to point out that on Google reviews there have been two 1-star…read morereviews - one by a man, another by a woman - that have disappeared within the last several months along with one recurring, and multiple 5-star reviews have been added all around the same time frame. Anyone with any idea of the alarming dynamics going on covertly within this organization - ostracizing, lying, slandering, ousting members - should think twice about these reviews and ask yourself if you're right to dismiss issues simply because you don't want to acknowledge them? ~Also consider - does the narrative given by "leadership" really make sense? Is anything ever 100% squeaky clean? ~Listen to your discernment. Not the narratives dictated to you. ~My experience with this organization is that if one mentions any contradictory or differing views of their particular belief systems or calls out the sinful behaviors of their "favored" ones, they're quickly dismissed as being "immature," "unforgiving," "bitter," "gossipy," etc. ~I've wizened up to these manipulative tactics. The main reason I wish to post this review now, more than 2 years after removing myself from this organization that I attended for 7 years, is that I believe truth and justice will always shine the light where evil tries to hide in the darkness. ~My first reason for not recommending this church is that even though they proudly tout "holding to solid biblical views" - which initially sounds like a devout Christian's dream - once you get to know the leadership and see beyond the façade, a discerning individual will notice the dynamics of hypocrisy and favoritism. While "true biblical" standards are presented dogmatically with impressive conviction from the pulpit, the expectations put on members and congregants are not equally applied to leadership. ~Which leads to the second reason I would not recommend this church: The pride and double standards. Example: The expectation to seek forgiveness when one knows they've wronged or offended someone or refraining from communion (as certain leaders have told others in the past they must do) if someone has an offense against them. Yet I didn't see those same principles applied to leadership. I heard the line "they had done their part to the best of their ability" but that same expectation didn't seem to be acceptable in the reverse. ~Also, because they are the "spiritual authority," they get to dictate what you must do and if you disagree YOU are in sin. I can say this as an absolute: I never heard them admit at any time that they might actually be wrong. ~The third reason I would not recommend this church is that they knowingly cover up the sins of the "favored" while exploiting, speaking ill of (aka slandering), and labeling those, who have the audacity to disagree with or question them, as "spiritually immature," "divisive," or even "mentally unstable," regardless of the individual's reasons for addressing their concerns. ~If one can't ask questions about their faith or of their "leaders," then what kind of faith or "leadership" is that? Wouldn't a solid faith withstand interrogation and digging and prodding? For it's the asking and seeking and knocking that brings about true clarification and a deeper understanding that ultimately grows a stronger faith and more authentic relationships. ~If leadership receives questions and disagreements as attacks and additionally goes so far as to preach sermons that twist the scriptures in order to support the agenda of protecting themselves by villainizing godly (yet imperfect) people (recent 2 John and Titus references), what message are they really preaching? ~How can one in good conscience submit to and respect a person in a position of "spiritual authority" who apparently operates in such a dysfunctional manner at best and an evil and twisted manner at worst? ~True shepherds actually shepherd God's flock, not tear them apart; wolves hide in sheep's clothing. ~Remember - The truth will set you free; and light will shine in the darkness of this covert spiritual abuse.

Was impressed by their food court and merchandise area. Negative: 1.Too many women ushers, and a woman pastor. Women in pastoral roles not biblical. I got the vibe that this is a very women centric church, maybe even progressive. 2. They breezed through communion. You basically pick up a sealed cup at the door. The female pastor talked about communion for a second then walked off the stage leaving us to figure what to do next. We were looking around to see what everyone else was doing and then we "got it", it's time to take communion on our own. I'm sorry but, although it's a symbolism of Christ's blood and body, the pastor should actually lead you through this as he performs it himself. To me, this act should carry more significance. 3. The Senior pastor comes on the teleprompter to preach and he was not on stage. Clearly it was prerecorded from an earlier sermon. For whatever reason he was not there, a real person in physical form should have been preaching. We left about 5 to 10 minutes into the sermon once my wife and I realized there was no one on stage. I guess the hard issues are too difficult for the Pastor to bother himself with. Therefore we will no longer bother ourselves with attending this church after attending for the last three years. He says he cares, but only when it's convenient. Total Hypocrisy!
