I'm catholic but that had no bearing on where I would go to feel God's in my heart and meet good people. After I saw and learned more about PVC, I decided to Introduced my grand children to church. Service's are set for adults service and different age groups children services. This way all are enjoying and understanding what they are learning/hearing. PVC is very welcoming. Every initial service may not meet your needs that day - but PVC is a place to go for many reasons. Since the pandemic they've worked to get back to a somewhat norm. If you cannot attend in person you can attend online. If you're attending on time or a little early you'll have the opportunity to be greeted by many. After service it's another chance to meet others. Yes, parking can sometimes be crazy but it's a huge lot and they are working in extending it. People attend church and running a little late you can change your parking preference. I'm no expert but I have experience what happens when I'm late . This week fun fun fun PVC summer camp. The musicians had passion for their craft but it was TOO LOUD for us over 65ers. The spotlights with steam coming through was excessive. Too much flash. The sermon was very good, and we appreciated God's word being preached in a professional and measured manner. This is a prosperous church, for sure. This is the first church I've ever been to that charges for coffee. PVC has a cafe near the sanctuary. When we asked about Bibles, the info desk said we could buy them at the cafe. Maybe they thought we meant the Bible reading plans. PVC is reaching many young people with their concert style services, but I wonder how deep the peoples' faith develops in such places and how else they are involved in the mission of this church.

Was impressed by their food court and merchandise area. Negative: 1.Too many women ushers, and a woman pastor. Women in pastoral roles not biblical. I got the vibe that this is a very women centric church, maybe even progressive. 2. They breezed through communion. You basically pick up a sealed cup at the door. The female pastor talked about communion for a second then walked off the stage leaving us to figure what to do next. We were looking around to see what everyone else was doing and then we "got it", it's time to take communion on our own. I'm sorry but, although it's a symbolism of Christ's blood and body, the pastor should actually lead you through this as he performs it himself. To me, this act should carry more significance. 3. The Senior pastor comes on the teleprompter to preach and he was not on stage. Clearly it was prerecorded from an earlier sermon. For whatever reason he was not there, a real person in physical form should have been preaching. We left about 5 to 10 minutes into the sermon once my wife and I realized there was no one on stage. I first visited this church…read morea couple of months ago, but I never made it to the preaching because the entire beginning of the service focused on giving money. I went back today thinking maybe that experience was an exception. Unfortunately, it was even more pronounced this time. As you walk in, you're handed a card outlining different levels of giving you should strive for. Before the service even begins, there are slides on the screens about giving. After the songs, a gentleman came out to speak about giving before the offering buckets were passed around, while scriptures about giving played continuously on the video boards. Once that concluded, he went on to talk again about the card we received upon entering and the importance of giving. Up to that point, there had been no message about the Gospel--only repeated emphasis on money. Because of this, I can't comment on the actual sermon, as I didn't stay long enough to hear one either time. I'll be continuing my search for another church. I gave it two stars for the music.

Hopefully, the diocese will bless Prince of Peace with a deacon to help besides Father Deo, the vicar. Parishioners are from Sun City West, Surprise as well as The Grand. Staff are friendly, helpful and accommodating. Glad we made the switch, we're very happy here.
